[GUIDE] Root the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Value Edition (i8200)(i8200L)

I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Value Edition i8200L , i'm from Costa Rica and i tried everything to root it , from Android Unified Toolkit (That ensures that root the S3 Mini VE) to DoomLord and SRSRoot but nothing worked , the only metod available to root this phone is with VRoot 1.7.6.5899 this is the chinese version , the english version doesn't work cause i tried and nothing ,i think that was impossible to root it but i tried the chinese version and it works.
Here's my tutorial to root it (Sorry for my bad english)
1-Download VRoot in it official page , google it because i can't put links here cause i'm new member , the version that works it
VRoot 1.7.6.5899 if there are a new version just download it.
2-Install VRoot.
3-Download and install Samsung Drivers , google it to
3-Activate debug mode in developer options , if you dont have developer options go to About Phone and press 7 or 10 times in Build Number or Compilation Number and the developer options will be available , after go to it and activate debug mode.
4-Allow instalation from external sources , ubicated in security options.
5-Open VRoot and wait to detect your phone , if not reconnect the phone to the computer or reinstall drivers.
6-When VRoot detect your phone press Next in VRoot and the root procedure will begin , it will install 2 chinese aplications 1 is like Aptoide and the other is the Superuser , you need SuperSu because it is the more stable , after the root finishes the phone will reboot and you have root acces.
(Next Steps are optional because i'm gonna show you how to change to SuperSu)
6-Download SuperSu from Play Store , open it and install binaries.
7-Download Link2SD and make SuperSu a system application.
8-Reboot the phone.
9-Open SuperSu and if it asks you to update binaries , do it.
10-Go to Link2SD and uninstall the chinese apps that VRoot install.
11-Enjoy root :laugh::laugh:

They are not viruses , they are exploits and the antivirus detects them as viruses.

Works also on S3 mini VE European version i8200N

I did exactly according to your description and it worked fine for me.
There was an addidtional thing to do: allow installation of external sources had to set.
The first time I set it on 'once' and only one Chinese app was installed , I had to do it again.
After I finished did something wrong when I installed SuperSU form the marked. It was not able to update binary's.
I did a 'RE-ROOT' , and now it is perpect.

No pude con la root, descargue el archivo ke esta en chino y pues la verdad no pude, porfa alguna ke no este en chino? resulta ke eres el unico ke ha posteado para el mini i8200L del resto nada...ayuda si!!!

Sigue bien las instrucciones amigo , solo con el VRoot chino funciona , recuerda activar instalaciones de origenes desconocidos en Seguridad eso me falto indicar.

Indeed, and I'm from Nicaragua - So i clearly can speak Spanish. But in XDA the official language is English. If you speak in Spanish the OP will delete your post and even u could be banned...

So, let me ask again, in english this time. After trying for a while, i finally could root my phone, so thanks. Do you know, by any chance, if you can install the CyanogenMod on this phone? As in the i8190L? Thanks in advance for your answer.

You can't. There aren't any custom ROMs for the GT-I8200 variants yet.

I have made a post recently about getting root to my huawei Y625 and I keep not having any luck with it! If anyone is able to help me, i would appreciate!

I have used Root Genious and it worked. You need to go "about phone" on the settings menu and double click on installation number several times (at the bottom of the options). After that you have access to de developer options on the setting menu. Go there and enable the usb debugging (or something similar... i have mine in portuguese....). Then you can connect your device to the computer, run root genios and just follow the instrucions...
However i cannot find any rom to this phone nor information about installing a new rom! Does anyone know anything about?

I got an Y625-U51 Build Y625-U51V100R001C577B111 and cannot root it.
ROOT GENIUS says: Sorry, your device is not supported yet.
KINGROOT: runs up to 27 %, then „Failed to root“.
TOWELROOT: this phone is not supported
KINGOROOT: APK failed, windoes-version runs up to 23 % and freezes.
ROOT GENIUS: Sorry, your device is not supported yet.
framaroot: failed
360 root: stops at 75 %
iRoot / OneClickRoot: endless loop
TWRP: No Image for Y625.
Anyone an idea?

Hi guys, I'm quite new to the Android world (comming from Windows Phone) and I have this LG Spirit H422F which I have already rooted. So, I'm looking for custom ROMs that can be installed on this phone, I've done some Google research but there's not much relevant information out there and I wouldn't like to install just any ROM that can make my phone unusable... CWM and TWRP are built, but problem is locked bootloader. Can't risk anymore bricking phone, so for now stock ROM and w/o recovery is state of mind for this phone.

Yes, you can flash Spanish v10g firmware and everything should work fine. As my knowledge v10g is unbranded and have some minor bugfixes maded to v10f (any region)

Hello guys, so i was checking the ROM list and found something curious! I have the h440n version and the software version is v10d... I noticed that in the ROM 's h440n there was not any version v10d . I wonder if was no way to give you my rom to share and if I could install the v10f hungarian . So there is some problem replacing the version v10d for v10f ? Thank you

You maybe have some version which says v10d but it is maybe v10e... And yes, you can install v10f from Hungary and there shouldn't be problem with replacing ROMs. Flash it normal way if you want to keep files, otherwise do CSE (also known as clean flash via LG Flash Tool) flash.

Without working recovery and unlocked bootloader it isn't possible to make full system image... What kind of flashing did you did: Normal or CSE (Clean) ? For me v10f (after replacing motherboard in service center) work fine last almost 2 weeks. I have a lot of communication apps which take memory and still I find lag only when go to home screen (G4 ported home and use G4 ported Weather app) but that is pretty rare (1-2 times a day, mostly at late night)

So, v10f is confirmed rootable via Kingroot?

I have the same problem, i have to re-install the firmware and the only one i found is h520g10a_02 but with this installed i can´t root
Tengo h520g de entel y primero lo hice root sin problemas con kingroot. luego se quedó pegado al encender y tuve que flashear otro firmware que encontré, el h520g10a_02 pero con es firmware no me deja rootear.
Alguna solución?

I went through the exact same situation, and, good news, I just solved it last week:
When you flash the .kdz (like the peruvian Claro ROM, which I also tried), there's a catch: the ROM flash re-locks your phone to the local network. I re-flashed an up-to-date Entel ROM (this time Android 5.0.2 instead of Claro's 5.0.1), but KingRoot was still refusing to work.
I went to Argentina, bought a SIM to use while on vacation, and found out that the reflash had locked my phone.
Instead of paying 30 dollars to get the phone unlocked, I contacted LG support, told them that I needed to unlock my phone to use it with foreign networks; gave them my IMEI, they quickly mailed back the unlock code and the instructions to unlock the phone (saving me some money in the process).
Rebooted, re-tried KingRoot, and it worked! Then I ran the script to replace KingRoot with SuperSU, and voilà - LG Magna LTE rooted, unnecessary apps removed, now it works like a charm.
I hope this has been useful for anyone following this thread. When in doubt, some old-fashioned diplomacy can save you a few bucks

Sadly yes! Because Motorola / Lenovo does not release the files to the community! the files of the Moto G4 Normal and Plus were leaked!

can you guys even get into the bootloader? What if you erase everything with fastboot, is that not enough?

BIG BREAKTHROUGH (at least for myself) :
So for some time now, I've thought that I had hard-bricked my moto XT1609, and I thought what I needed would be best summarized with the words 'blankflash template'. This sent me on a furious wild goose chase for Qualcomm drivers, deactivating driver signature enforcement on a Windows computer, etc., etc. . . You catch my drift. Well, long story short, I ended up coming across another XT1609 (same variant) and since the charger port and screen were all effed up, I just changed out the motherboards and viola! I had my G⁴ Play back in working order. I rooted with auto-init root, and everything was working fine. I took the battery out after powering down, placed my sim and microSD card, and upon attempting the boot, I panicked. It was doing the same thing the last motherboard was doing: showing the "moto" boot screen, vibrating, then black screen, a flash, and it looped. I couldn't load recovery nor kernel. So, I tried to uninstall the init root, and attempted boot, but to no avail.
I was certain all was lost.
However, after reading the PDF of the essay where the bootloader vulnerability was discovered, I decided to utilise fastboot in hopes of saving the kernel from crashing (i assumed the black screen, and the flash was the bootloader attempting to load the kernel). My commands:
fastboot oem config fsg-id vzw (I have the vzw variant)
fastboot oem config carrier vzw
fastboot continue
And success! I saved the kernel from crashing. I urge anyone else having the same problem I described to try fastboot commands using your carrier's id in lieu 'vzw' and let me know the results, please!

I don't know Spanish but I needed that blankflash badly, used Google translate and deducted from that YouTube post all I needed to resurrect my bricked (or "bricado" as they say it in Spanish ) Moto G4 Play 1607. All is good now, I have the latest 7.1.1. Can't flash custom recovery though, tried several ver. of TWRP - the fastboot flash runs its course but to no avail, the stock recovery comes back every time. Anyways, I'm confirming that the blankflash there is good, it does the miracle of bringing a dead phone back to life.
