A few infos for those who have problems on V20D H815

to all the guys on the international variant who have problems with sot and overheating issue, lg knows about the problems and they are working on a new update, i saw this on a german forum they are allready testing it so it should come online in one or 2 weeks.This information was given them by the lg support. Wanted to share u this because i only saw it in german forum and not on xda. So we just have to wait now

My h815 never heated up, and the SOT was about 3h30m or 4h, depends on the use that i was giving.
If its for us to have 5h....YUPIIII !!!

So m8 u are one of the lucky users but there are some issues on some h815 like strange battery drainage fron 95 to 50% and randomly heating up peocessors even with clean installation of v20d. And sometimes calls dont work properly they are buggy too. And further i have to say that this is the information given us in the german forum by the lg support workers. Lets wait for the changelog we'll see then what has been changed

My model is the 506.
I had install the 20F version this weekend, and so far, so god, but, let´s see what LG says in the next version on the changelog

From what I saw - in V20f LG already fixed the SOT and the heating problem.

Yeah but dont forget that v20f is for turkey and we are officially on v20d so as far as we go officially the issues arent solved for International/european models. And maybe lg releases v20f as v20e for us europeans, lets wait it out

You can install V20f on the international version

One question:
If I'm rooted,will I get information for the new software and will I be able to update it or I must unroot it first?
Btw,I'm on V20d-EUR-XX...

i know that but not over lg bridge, u have to use lg up for this and v20f isnt supposed for the european models because it should be turkey only. On lg bridge v20d is the latest os for my phone but anyway thanks

You can flash it with LG UP.
H815, H815TR, H815L, H815P are all the same model which is H815

Flashed v20f TR on my H815 GBR version serial start 509 Sept 2015 and software showed up as V20-Opt2-HQ so back on V20D and will wait on official release for EU models.

Mine is from Portugal and before I flash 20f it was v20d-opt2 in factory version now is v20f-opt1..... Change the lte icon, volte don't work....I think because my provider don't support that feature.
I will keep this version because besides that I was mencion it works great!

I think when the actualization will be available, the official one will be shown for you (v20d → v20x for example) and nevermind if you are on v20f opt2 ...

When I have had my LG G2 before I bought G4 it was same as I wrote. I flashed some KDZ and few days after that had been pushed an actualization for my model and the former LG PC suite offered me the update.

Can you add the source please?

if u want to know where i got that info from it was on the german forum android-hilfe in the battery thread and the g4 6.0 update discussion thread i dont know if its allowed to post a link of that forum but i´ll do it and if its forbidden then mods can just delete them

If you are on stock firmware you'll be notified and will be able to update whether you are rooted or not (as long as you haven't disabled automatic checks). After the update you will have lost root.
Edit: welder73 a word of caution since many people don't realize that root and custom recovery are different things and you don't need one for the other: if you have installed a custom recovery and get notified about updates do not accept to install them (OverTheAir). Instead find a place to download the update and flash it using your custom recovery.

[KDZ][H812] New firmware Android 6.0 V20x [Security patch for 2016-07-01]

The date we all have been waiting for has come (21st July) and Rogers released new version, but it ts 6.0 (Still no 6.0.1)
I think LG is the most disappointing company I have ever experienced
However, this is version contains security patch for 2016-07-01.
** Please note that I do not recommend H815 [ L / P / TR / AR ] owners flash this H812 firmware because it may brick you device **
I need someone to confirm that it is safe to flash it on H815 [ L / P / TR / AR ].
I think it is possible to flash only the system partition but I don't own G4 anymore so I can not test it..

Thanks for sharing your KDZ file, I've been searching everywhere for it. I wasn't able to get any updates from Rogers because my phone was originally from Bell. And couldn't even get it from LG. I used the LGUP tool to flash it in.
But I have a question. Wasn't this update supposed to get the new Emoji's? How can I get the true 6.0.1 update in my H812?

I recently buy this LG V20 H910PR. The phone is awesome but the Claro firmware sucks. Can I update the firmware with the latest one in lg-firmwares.com?
The phone firware is: V10J-CLR-PR, build number NRD90M, Android security patch level December 1 2016, the one in lg-firmwares.com is H910PR10j_00_1205.kdz.
I want to know if I can install this to my V20.

Hi BigDavy,your smartphone is the indian or the taiwan version? Before the update your phone were on oreo or nougat?

It looks like HTC is still taking care of our Ultra

I got it from Eglobal Central, so I assume it is the Hong Kong version. It has all the 4G bands, including band 20, the one I needed for 4G reception from my carrier.
It was one of the first to get the Oreo update and is on stock.

Reflash RUU 7.0 and then you can update.

Enabling call recording feature on SM-A515F

Hi all, I live in Pakistan and recently bought Samsung A51 (6 GB Ram and 128 GB ROM variant). I noticed that the call recording feature is absent in the phone app. I did some research and found that if I flash a stock firmware for India i can get call recording feature. I need to know:
1 - If it is ok to flash the indian firmware on my A51 and still have it work on my country's mobile networks?
2 - Does flashing a firmware of different region change the IMEI numbers of the phone?
3. What would be the warranty status if I flash the said firmware?
4. What if something unexpected happens, would I still be able to flash the most recent stock firmware for Pakistan that is, A515FXXU3BTD4_A515FOJM3BTD4_PAK?
Yesterday I received the Samsung update and now I am at version: A515FXXU3BTD4/A515FOJM3BTD4/A515FXXU3BTD4
Security Patch level: April, 01, 2020
The firmware I intent to flash is : A515FXXU3BTD4_A515FODM3BTE9_INS
