Hey y'all,
Do you have a ZTE Axon 7s A2018?
If so, what is your experience with it?
Device info would be nice to have to see what's lurking under the hood!
Thanks

Well I agree with you one thing being that they are for the Chinese gov and some businesses but you can still get them all day long on AliExpress. Visiting for a Gigaset developers meeting in Germany with a friend of mine that moved to Germany bought one from AliExpress but unfortunately he lost it the same day he got it when we were hiking at the Bavarian Forest National Park. So I never got the chance to get the full experience of what's under the hood. He didn't buy another one because too pricey last year.
I might get one to develop on if it's worth it.
Still to this date I have never seen a real-life picture of the Axon 7S, just the renders that ZTE released on their website and the TENAA images. I didn't realise you could actually buy the Axon 7S from AliExpress but I'm not sure how it could really be worth the price increase just for the dual-camera setup and SD821. I'd be interested to see some thoughts from someone who has the device in regards to the camera quality, etc. The speaker grille is definately a lot more attractive on the 7S.
I'd never heard of them. It's a bit like one plus releasing a T version.
Would like to have one of those
I have one, and let me tell you I can't find any information. Please develop away. I finally started using Baidu.com with google translate and found an update to 6.1 and that took me 2 months for figure out.

Could you post a few pictures of the device? I have never seen any real-life photos of the Axon 7S before, just the official renders supplied by ZTE and TENAA images.
EDIT: Never mind, I just found this video on YouTube that I have not seen before. It gives a good idea of what the device looks like in comparison to the standard Axon 7. The speaker grilles look a lot more attractive!
I'd love to see some camera samples if you're able to take some outdoor shots and upload them!
@Droggi87
Some of the specs are wrong, already know about gsmarena. One of my buddies had one but he sold it before I could see if it had the same dual amp setup.
Thanks though bud

Welcome bud to the thread!
Does it have dual independent amps like the Axon 7?
Does the camera have OIS?
How much RAM?
Any extra info would be appreciated.
Thank you

Yeah I got one too from my uncle. Has yours got the B09 Android 7.1.1 update yet? Some people that have this device has received the update but mine still hasn't for some reason.
Thanks
Nope, it is still on 6.0.1 and I haven't found any software version other than this on ZTE's site. Do you have any? It is giving a strange problem that its earphone behaves erratically, as it goes off.

I'm another person luckily enough to be given a galaxy s2 direct from samsung anyway i've already done a short review if anyone cares to watch...and i plan on doing a few more videos too!
you can get to my videos at my youtube through my twitter account which is staceymobiler, or you can head to my blogspot which is staceysamsungmobiler.blogspot.com

Thanks for chiming in here, hope you will provide even more useful info and compliment our friend Dom here
Hey Stacey, first of all thank you for your review, was quite nice to watch
The recording quality was nice, you let us have a look onto the stuff that comes out of the box with our beloved SGSII. You elaborated on the hardware specs as well as software (OS/Hubs). Then you told us about the battery life which sounds very promising
ahh yes Dom! he's a great guy! we're both loving our new phones! But yes, any questions don't hesitate to send them my way and i'll do my best to help!

Hi stacey.
Does it come with the Samsung package any cable to connect to the TV? Like HDMI?
Does it refer anything on specification of having NFC?
Can you know if there are any available to buy? at what cost?
I would really wanna know that before buying. Sorry so many questions.

In the box i received it only had the usb cable, however i do believe hdmi cables will be available to buy.
The model i have doesnt have nfc, i believe that will only be an option in some specific markets...or if the phone comes with the hardware (rf arial) it will be enabled in software at a later update.
Currently the new sgs2 is available for pre order, however i would check with your local vendor for network availability and specific release dates. In the UK the sgs2 is currently retailing for around £500 sim free
Hope this helps!
Hi Stacey.
I have a question.
Have you tried transferring movie files bigger than 4 GB to the internal memory
and SD card and checked if it’s possible to play the video?
It’s probably the same limit for the internal memory and SD card.
There has been discussions in forums that the max file size is 4GB.
You probably need to copy/rip a bluray movie to get a video file bigger than 4 GB.
EDIT:
Could you also test this with USB memory/stick containing the video file and connected to micro USB if possible ?
SGS2 is supposed to have USB On-The-Go.
So...... anyone from Singapore has seen this baby in the wild?? or know of any good sellers aside from "The Open Surface"/ any independent sellers/ group ordering etc??
I would like to avoid Sim Lim as much as possible... we all know why... :cyclops:
Not that I know of, it is quite difficult to order one already, let alone spares.
However there is one dude from Hardwarezone that managed to order multiple sets but he have a long waiting list of people who wants to get it from him.
I'm using one myself now, though.

I just got one invitation as well and I can't wait for the reviews to come before it expires! Anyway, even if it is not up to the expectations we should be able to easily resell it at no loss, shipping costs included.
Battery life will likely be fine - it's only 2525mAh, but it's also only a 5" screen. Based on the OPO's solid battery life (3100 mAh battery and 5.5" screen), I imagine it'll be fine.

Says you. I'm tired of phones getting bigger and bigger. 5.5" screen is roughly on the border of being too big for one handed use. But I'm going with it. Anything bigger I would not consider.
EDIT: That said, women prefer bigger phones...lol I see women with Galaxy Notes everywhere.
Why no waterproof? Why no 4.5? Why no 4000mah? Why no wireless charging? Why no micro SD card expansion? Why no small bezels? Why no OIS? Why no 18:9? Why no rounded screens? Why no edge display? Why no stereo speakers? Why no rear fps? Why not 350$? Why everyone is crying? Why not everyone just buy an S8 instead? Because it's still cheaper than other compatitors, alright? You still need to make some compromises.

OnePlus - from $479
S8 - $676.99
LG G6 - $476.99
Discount the premium you pay for Samsung brand, and it's not that far away.

If there was no feedback from users to manufacturers, you would still be using Nokia. XDA is the best place to deliver such feedback.
Look at google. They have been all over the place with screen sizes based on user demands.
Stop taking oneplus's defense. It's no point. I got the oneplus 3 a month after launch and I am still happy with it.
You should admit that oneplus screwd up again.
Design is poor, and except for the processor is no better than an op3/op3t, even though the price increased.

Don't see why you have to bring your bad vibes in here. Fhd and 5.5 is perfect for a phone. 2k offers nothing but bad battery life. No one is going to have a vr plugged in all the time to justify it. 5.5 is perfect for most people which is how business works. Make products for your larger audience returns more revenue thus you don't go out of business. Like it or not this phone is going to be a great competitor this year.

You must be new to marketing if you think one plus can even compete with Apple. They themselves have said they don't try to. The more you talk the more you invalidate yourself here. You aren't even providing useful information to anyone reading you're just talking smack.

Nothing to see here, move along. Lol, just wanted to be the first one to make that joke.
So, we know virtually Nothing yet (so many jokes) but the ambition is clear: become what OnePlus used to be.
The question is: would you get one? Feel free to share your demands below.
#NeverSettle. Err, I mean #NoCompromise or something.

I'm ready for sure, I can't wait to see what this new Phone (1) will be like.
Oh here goes "Nothing". Really excited to see the Phone (1)
Probably not! Let's see maybe Nothing 2
I saw the article which caught my interest. With a name such as "Nothing" I was excited that it might be a vanilla AOSP phone with no preinstalled apps except F-Droid and Aurora Store.

Well, it certainly won't be that. They are going to use all the Google services.

Depends on price. If it's cheap like realme and xiaomi then yes it's worth price . But if it's overpriced like Samsung or apple then no it's not worth price.

If they are going to be as 'open' as they claim to be it should be a breeze to unlock and flash whatever you want. If they follow in the footsteps of the OnePlus One and even improve on that concept then it should be the most development friendly (mainstream) phone ever.

Why be so critical of a product we don't know yet?
You just have to remember that not so long ago a large majority of smartphones were open and you could practically unlock it easily and flash what you wanted. You just had to wait for the kernel to be available.
I'm also looking forward to seeing what this new smartphone will be like. I've been on HTC for a long time, then I tested the OP7T, which disappointed me a bit and I followed the other OnePlus models which didn't really convince me.
Unlike some people, I don't swear by one brand, so I'm not really a fanboy, but I try to remain pragmatic and open to what can be offered. So I'm waiting and looking forward to see what Nothing will produce.
I hope it will be a really open smartphone so that we can integrate other external products to Nothing, according to our choices and desires.

Waiting to see the price. I have good expectations as it wants to redo the same magic as the 1+1 and on top of that they have bought essential phone assets. These were the best phones I had. Still have my ph1 with a cracked screen just to relief from time to time the itch to flash a ROM. Something my daily s10 can't do

I don't know much more than most people, but I think the selling price should be between 400/600€ for a wide price range.

600€ that makes 800$ Canadian. Good price. The s21 FE is 700$

I think we can all agree that 300-400 won't be feasible any longer to achieve flagship specs like they did back in 2014. The price range you've mentioned would indeed hit the sweet spot. Anything upwards of that will quickly have the masses lose interest. I'd definitely shell out €500 for a new flagship killer.

Already did this and got the invite code with the offer price! I like this phone with a new concept rather than all other brands competing with the camera and forgot about other phone specs!
I've got nothing to say!
