LG Firmware Download does not work (xdm + useragent) - blank page - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I think the Useragent LGE-ActiveDP/0.9 does not work anymore - can everbody check it out. I cant download any firmware, yet.

Does this provide any insight?

That is was i meant. This methode does not work anymore (for me). By the way... XDM (Xtreme Download Manager) does not work, too (for me)
Try this for example: http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downl...2ONAXIC8D5F3D5/H87011i_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0108.kdz

opera mini 4.1

new opera mini 4.1 is out.....but the new version allways asks for net access...anyone fix this?
thanx
No signature!
You can download a signed version - open the mini.opera.com from your phone and choose the link "If this version fails to install or you would like to install a previous version, click here" - there are signed versions of 4.1 there (the multiple certificate version works for me).
After using the signed version, you'll have no more problems with permissions (you'll be able to choose "always allow net access").

i thought that was the beta? can u cofirm it is the final?
thanx
Yes - the beta installs as "Opera Mini 4.1" - so that it won't overwrite the official one.
The one downloaded in the "other versions" install as "Opera mini" - so it will update any existing official versions. In its info in jbed, the version is listed as 4.1 - so it seems to be the official one.
[Edit]
Version number listed in help/about of new unsigned opera (default download) is: 4.1.11313
Version number of the new signed 4.1 (downloaded from "other versions" page): 4.1.11313
Version number of 4.1 beta: 4.1.10781
So both downloads are definitely the same (new) version.

Where did you find this version? I find myself stuck with the unsigned version, and it's a hassle unlike any other (Using Touch Dual - Norwegian).
i have the unsigned one and somewhere on this forum i found the instructions on what to edit and where to stop it asking. If i remember correctly it required Hex editing a file from the PPC on my PC and copying it back.
i will post the link if i can find it again.
Found it:
Link from Opera Mini thread here on XDA going to pdaphonehomeforum

The link to other versions of opera mini is right under the main link (in bold text) to normal (unsigned) version download.
At least it is there if your phone model can't be identified (like it happened on my wizard). But even if the phone is recongnixed, yoy should have a link leading to other versions. It just might be described as "previous versions" - which isn't entirely true, since there are both newest signed 4.1 versions, and old 3.0 on the linked page
@deedee - all this editing is only necessary only for unsigned versions of midlets. If you download a signed version, then jbed (and any other JVM) will allow to set permissions permanently, with no file editing needed.

That's kind of why I was asking, because there's nothing like that when I open it. It doesn't recognize it as the Touch Dual even, just as Touch, and it's in Norwegian, so I assume there's a difference.
And it keeps calling it untrusted. I have no idea what's going on >:/

The text is so unclear that at first i did not go to this page - now i did - signed version - perfect !
Did i say thank you
1. Strange for WM there're no signed versions. For Symbian, there are. I'll elaborate on the issue in an article and will try to provide a link to the version Symbian phones are offered.
2. it's preferable to start threads like this in the General forum (where there is another OM4.1 thread).
@Morghus - try the file attached in the post - international version, signed with multiple certificates. It's just a .jad file, so you'll still need to be connected to the internet to install the program.
I got this file by going to mini.opera.com with... Opera Mini
Do you have a french version signed ?
Thank
edit : because my phone is not detected
Come on, the download website isn't that hard to navigate...
Even if your phone isn't detected, and a 3.1 download is proposed, you can still choose to download the 4.1 version [attachment 1]. This will get you to the 4.1 download page, where you can choose a different language [attachment 2] and once chosen, you can see other available versions - the second link marked in [attachment 2] will get you to page shown in [attachment 3], where you can get the 4.1 signed. Is it really that hard to figure out?
ok cool
thank

[Q] Android Market on Vega 1.09

Hi all,
First of all thanks to all for the useful info. Been browsing this site (and modaco) for a while now. Finally got my Vega today
Apologies for the n00b question but....
Managed to sort out USB drivers (despite Win 7 x64... ) and updated to 1.09 from the official vega site. Now I'm trying to get the market working - put the OGMarket update (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931337) on my SD card and installed the google framework, market etc... and I can get the market to run, however whenever I select an app I get "force close".
Any suggestions?
Is there a better way of going about this? I have nothing useful on my vega yet so don't mind reflashing - just wanted to try and stick with 1.09 if poss.
I have noticed it seems to be an old version of the market (I have an up to date X10 mini pro with the newest market on it) but I can't figure out how to run the market updater app.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
When I switched to 1.09, to install the market I just used the file linked in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=930267 and it worked right. It installs an older version of the market but once running it updates itself.
Brill - will give this a go.
Cheers,
Xio
Just updated my rom add-on. Needs to be flashed with the software tool. All is working great for me
Hiya,
Managed to get market working using method above - thanks!
Some of the Ggaps aren't there (and don't show up on market) such as calendar, maps etc... but this is definitely a step forward.
Now to go look at that rom...
Thanks again to all for the info!
I would suggest you follow the tip to enable all the apps in the market in my thread, google Maps shows fine for me. I can add more gapps to it no problem, just trying to keep the rom size down. Calendar does not show i can add that as a extra download.
Absolutely brill!
Now got google maps (and the superb mini taskbar) - as you say, no calendar on marketplace, so if you have it handy that would be great.
Otherwise - slick work!
Cheers,
Xio

I have had this issue, it started last night when i decided to re-flash my vega. (i have been doing lots of testing and wanted a clean system) It appears to effect all roms and builds. I tried stock v1.065, v1.08 and v1.09 also tried maodaco r8 and all resulted in the same. I ended up doing a application restore (from software tool) which resulted in market logging in, but then getting a message "No matching content in Android Market" I fixed this with market enabler. Not sure why this has happened, as it appears to effect all roms. Have to wait and see how many people this effects.
Your vega not booting is strange as you are the first to report the problem with the Gapps. Did you have sufficient battery power to apply the flash? Enter recovery and reflash the stock rom.
If anybody else is having the same issues please report, Thanks.
It is more a boot loop, the android buddy shows and that is it. I reflashed 1.09 and your pack. I will try the stock settings now. Lets see ^^
Ok it doesnt work, i guess your pack hate germans ^^
i although test to set my language and timezone to an american one (read something in an other forum) doesnt work. So now iam clueless...
Send from my Vega
Odd, I got the market working but it only had free apps. Had to set to US in language and keyboards to get the paid apps to show, but now all prices are in dollars. Must be a location thing.
Afraid I am having the same problem too actually...
I have flashed 1.09 again - system restarts ok.
Unfortunately when I add the apps pack I just get the little android symbol on the screen in a boot loop
Any ideas? Was really cool when the apps were workin tho
EDIT: My location is UK btw.. incase that's useful
EDIT 2: What I mean to say is, I add the apps pack and it loads fine, all the apps work, all is well - however, if I then power down the vega it goes into the boot-loop.
Cheers,
Xio
There are more and more messages and news that there is a problem with the market login. I guess it is not the user, it is the server from google.

That's a relief - I have just been re-flashing and wondered what I had done wrong when the market didn't log in!
Cheers Gman for all yer work so far. Am trying different combinations of apps in the pack to see if it is one in particular causing the problem - also, while on the topic, any chance of getting google talk in there? I have an apk that works on the vega - but I'm not sure if that's going to cause a bootloop too, so I'm leaving it off for now!
Xio
Thx man, if you need any help, testing or something, ping me.
Send from my Vega
Hmm,
I'm probably going about this back to front but...
Have installed the apps pack straight away (without the mini-taskbar etc mod) containing only:
Calendar
CalendarProvider
DeskClock
Gmail
GoogleCalendarSync
GoogleServicesFramework
Maps
NetworkLocation
Street
Updater
Youtube
Seems fine (I.E. I can restart the vega without bootloop) but I cannot "establish a reliable data connection to the server" - it would appear much of the internet is having the same problem at the mo for whatever reason!
Ofcourse this is still missing the all important market etc... and I didn't realise just how much I'd miss the mini taskbar!
Tried making "my own" update - chopping together the apks, updating the updater-script file then signing the zip.... it didn't end well.
*Flashes 1.09 again*...
I think this is a google thing. i have tried every rom/market update combination, but still unable to log into market. Restoring from a application back up from software tool, fixes the login problem but you can only see free apps unless you change the language in language and keyboard to US.

Any official site for OEM ROMs?

Hi.
I cant to find any trustworthy source for downloading OEM ROMs. Could anyone help me with it? When I google it I found http://rootmygalaxy.net/download-install-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s7-sm-g930f/ which points to sammobile.com which asks money for premium download and non-paid download takes forever.
Then I also found http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G935F which seems legit - even the domain name is samsung-updates but for some reason it points to suspicious sites such as http://rapidgator.net or https://alfafile.net/ which also have very long (4 hours) download time for non-premium members.
Other thing is also that since those ROMs dont come from samsung's website I dont even know if I can trust them or not. Could anyone help me with getting trustworthy OEM ROM?
Edit: one more question: I have G935F. What makes G930F ROM different?

DO NOT flash a G930F ROM on your phone. Only G935F ones.
G935F is the S7 Edge.
G930F is the flat S7 (non-edge) model.
As for a reliable source of firmwares, see here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647
Kies
I would suggest using kies
Just download the programme
Put ur phone in download mode and connect it to pc
In kies > tools > firmware upgrade and initialization
Then u have to enter device id and then serial no which can be found in device settings
It will download and install the correct and latest firmware for ur device
Updato works for me
Tsar3000's Android File Host page has pretty much a crap ton of firmware available. Scroll to the bottom to find G935F/T/W8 variants, just pick yours, download and flash through Odin!

Kies doesn't work on the S7 you need to use smart switch.

Note : download in android device or linux pc. Windows pc downloads some creepy 2MB downloaders.
Well my actual intent is to get exact same OEM android ROM running on my PC, so that I could playwith different stuff and see what happens. So the idea would be to have it running in qemu and then only do tweaks to my phone that doesnt break android that is running on qemu. Like for example if removing some bloatware causes it not to boot anymore, then it would become evident in qemu I think, and then I would know better waht I can and cant do with my real phone.

Download BK package disabler Pro from the playstore, it will tell you what is safe to disable / remove ie bloatware etc and whats not.
3 lists are available in the app, installed, bloatware and system, even item in the system menu some items can be disabled, its pretty obvious what can be immediately disabled in the system menu like CNN News etc, some other things take a bit more study, although the app will advise you don't touch anything in there, it didn't stop me.
Tnx.
Having a virtual machine of that ROM would let learn me much more. This app thing was just one example. With VM I could try out other ideas as well.
edit: delete this
I always use Sammobile, I do not wanna pay so downloading a firmware takes around 3 hours.

[SEARCH] working COMBINATION_FA70_G950FXXU5ASF1/FIX file. will it work on U5DSFB_DBT?

Hi,
got a friends SM-G950F. Its on G950FXXU5DSFB_DBT.
Tried to flash COMBINATION_FA70_G950FXXU5ASF1 via Odin. On the phone i get: only officaily released binaries are allowed
Saw here and here that it seems there is a COMBINATION_FA70_G950FXXU5ASF1_FIX file available, just dont be able to download it cause i only find dl on liveon and seems impossible to activate the free account to download the file.
so my 2 question:
1. will this file (G950FXXU5ASF1/_fix) generally work on G950FXXU5DSFB_DBT? as im a OnePlus guy i dont exactly know all parameters in the samsung naming convention. seems first comes model, then BL version. Thought rest would be language stuff wich wouldnt be important (for me) for combination use.
2. someone got this file or one combination file which should work on the version i got here?
thx for any help!

Stuck on boot loop on Mobvoi TicWatch (1)

I have unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP, and my last objective was to install the custom ROM from the official Kali Linux website. After flashing the custom rom via fastboot, the watch goes into a boot loop. "TicWatch" shows up on watch screen for a time of roughly 10 seconds then restarts. I am still able to reach the bootloader and enter recovery mode/TWRP.
Can anyone help resolve my issue I am having? I tried flashing to what I believe were stock ROMs but I couldn't find any official ROMs from Android or the TicWatch wear OS' manufacture, Mobvoi. No such luck.
Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be very much appreciated.
Thank you for your time and effort in helping me,
x_____________
***UPDATE***
ADB fastboot no longer recognizes my TicWatch when device is plugged into PC and in the bootloader menu.
