I'm having this issue too
Just last night I FINALLY rooted my phone. An hour or so later, I installed Beats Audio Installer Root v.2.3.2.1 AdFree_Released by HPR.apk. I had already done Titanium Backup before trying to install this. I ok'd the reboot, and have been watching a bootloop ever since. I can go into recovery, and bootloader. I have already tried to wipe cache, and a factory reset...with no luck. I don't know how to get to my backup I made, and I'm out of ideas.

go to recovery mode and wipe data... nor the best to cleanup with flashing one more time with the fresh room.
This beats Audio Installer seems a spam application, mine using Player Pro for a nice and clear audio player.

How to unbrick Motorola Defy XT535
Hello android geeks,
Please help me
Scenario
1. i was using chinese ics rom in my defy xt535. due to more problems with that rom, i flashed with Gingerbread rom. But i forge to wipe partition data before flashing . so i was unable to pass beyond red m logo
2. when i tried to enter recovery menu. i got a blank screen with green android with yellow exclamation mark within white triangle
3. again i flashed with chinese ics , again without clearing partition data (because i am not able to access recovery mode). now i am able to enter android , But touch screen is not working
What I have tried
1. I tried erasing phone data using Wondershare mobile transfer, but i failed as it is possible only if I enable USB debugging. sadly i cannot enable usb debugging as my touch screen is not working
Advantages
1. I can access bootloader (white screen) by pressing power button and up button
2. I can able to pass beyond moto logo, which is a good sign that the phone can be saved
Disadvantages
1. Unable to enter recovery mode (Yellow exclamation mark)
2. Touch screen is NOT working, so not able to enable usb debugging
Doubts
1. How to check whether my touch screen problem is software oriented or hardware oriented?
2. What is the method to completely erase phone data without entering recovery mode, no root, and without touch screen functionality?
3. Is there any way to install recovery menu without root function and without touch screen function?
4. My idea is to completely erase all the phone data and flashing it with gingerbread rom? Is it right or is there any other alternatives?
Things I have
1. Bricked Defy XT535
2. Laptop and PC with windows 7
3. USB cable
4. RSD Lite
5. SUTLR
6. Patch files to root Defy XT535
7. Chinese ICS ROM
8. Gingerbread ROM
9. Wondershare Mobile transfer
If you feel i have missed few details, please notify me
I am one among the few indian XT535ians, please help me to save the rugged device

My sm-t235y was working fine, plug charger 10 minutes... unplug it... and when i use it screen went all vertical lines moving like water.... check picture and video please... what do you think? screen was not hit in any way...
https://youtu.be/kNbbJz2EtJU
what do you think?
thanx in advance
Wally,
that does not look good
do you have a custom recovery installed? If so did you do the basics, wipe cache and dalvik cache?
If you do have a custom recovery installed did you make your full backup when the tab was functioning correctly?
Did you root and apply any modifications? What is the most recent app you installed prior to this problem ?
Again if you do have a custom recovery installed and made a full backup of your working rom, try using the advanced recovery options to
restore your /system partition only. that looks like your boot animation file in /system/media got corrupted/broken.
I couldn't tell if the startup audio was working when viewing the video, is it?
And lastly do you achieve boot through to home screen or do you just get that squiggly blah and then pppppppbbbbttttttt ?
m
Hi Moonbutt
do you have a custom recovery installed?
Yes TWRP
If so did you do the basics, wipe cache and dalvik cache?
Cant use recovery.... screen is this way all time, with key combination can enter to recovery but cant see nothing
Did you root and apply any modifications?
all mods were done 4 month ago... all working great
What is the most recent app you installed prior to this problem ?
didnt install any app in 1 month...
I couldn't tell if the startup audio was working when viewing the video, is it?
It boots and enter system.... its a 4g so i can hear whatsapp and other apps working... seems to be a screen problem...
thanx
Wally,
Don't use the button combo to boot into recovery, boot up as normal and plug your tab into pc and run
adb reboot recovery, just to be sure that you are in recovery.
If the screen is still the same
crack open the tab and check the screen connector ribbon, your screen problem is all hardware (almost positive anyway).
m
thanx will try
Hello!
First, sorry if similar thread has been posted, i searched a lot and found nothing similar.
It's been a while since i'm stuck with a "little" problem, here are the symptoms:
- the phone shutdown itself for no reason (no heat, no new application, no water splash, no drop to the floor...)
- then when i try to reboot it, MI logo appears for 5-10seconds, then shutdown (no bootloop, the phone stays OFF)
- after a random number of tries (almost 100 times, literally, sometimes), it boots like a flower and works perfectly for a random duration (weeks, days, hours, or 1 minute).
I tried everything i could find, read, or get advised to do. I also posted on Miui.en, if you find motivation to read it, look for "Redmi 4 Prime shutted down itself and keeps shutting down after MI logo" (i can't post link).
Troubles started a couple of days after the OTA update from official MIUI global ROM 8.1.2 to 8.2 (the OTA update got deleted some days after). I thought that it was only a ROM bug, so i flashed to anterior version, but bug still happened some days after.
That's the only thing i did that i can remember. The phone wasn't even rooted at this moment.
About my phone:
- when it manages to boot, it works perfectly, no heat problem, no connectivity issues, can access to stockages...
- when it can't boot, i still have access to fastboot, recovery mode/TWRP, and when it is turned off, it displays charging state when pluged, and the phone never shutdown itself during one of those states.
- after a full wipe in TWRP (factory reset, system + cache + data and all), it can be stuck in bootloop at MI logo for hours without shutting down itself (if i push power button for 10sec, it keeps rebooting on MI logo, so an "usual" bootloop)
What i tried:
- flash all official roms with MIflash (china rom, global rom, stable and developer versions, latest and old versions), with flash_all.bat (clean all data),
- flash official/customs rom with TWRP,
- flash official roms with MI PC Suite.
I managed to do a CPU bug report last time it turned ON (on official MIUI 8.1.2 global rom) that i also posted on my other thread at the 3rd page, and a log after the last flash i did with MIflash (official MIUI 8.2.4 global rom).
Today, i only can boot my phone with a lot of luck (i managed to revive it once in 3 days after a lucky flash i guess, then it shutted down after 5 min), so it is more dead than a little bugged...
I rode things about kernel manipulations, deep flash, or even just try to open it and disconnect the battery for 15min (i will try this last option when i get the good screwdriver), but i prefer asking in hope that someone ever encountered this problem...
Thank you for reading me and thanks by advance if somebody got some advises!

I bought it on Gearbest, and of course, warranty is void if you touch the ROM... Same for Xiaomi once you unlock the bootloader i think (i did it because there weren't official global roms when i bought it) :crying:
Do you think about something else?
Or did it already happen to someone else?

Hello,
no matter what I flash (even stock), after I enter my SIM-Pin, the screen just turns black, but I see the power-menu when I hold the button and the statusbar with blinking wallpaper when pressing back-button.
Any help?
Thanks!

Maybe need more information.
Are you on stock or rooted on costum rom? If so what rom, kernel etc
Thanks, but as stated before:
It doesn't matter, went back to full stock, but same problem...
I wanted to flash new rom in the morning and it kept saying system-partition is busy.

Idk, I had the same problem where I would clean flash everything and install a new fully stock OOS ROM and it used to take me to the security thing and I input my PIN and it just used to go black and reboot the system, and sometimes not boot at all.
I then either used this <https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3761904&d=1464187934> or I changed the file system to Ext4.
I'd rather you try the zip out first. It'll work. I'm 98% sure I used it. Although to save my butt I take zero responsibility of your actions lol.
same as mine
mine is also becoming black screen today, yesterday i was on reading mode and i saw some marks on the corner red, then today totally black. try to flash or reboot it 50 times but still the same.
i flash using msm download woke up abut the screen is blinking then stopped again
Connect to PC with fastboot
fastboot format system
fastboot format cache
Reboot into recovery and flash a new ROM.
???
Profit!
Hello, it is my first time trying to write a post on xda so excuse me if I do something wrong.
I've been playing with Roms a lot of time, installing, uninstalling, bricking and unbricking phones. so have a pretty good idea of how it works but now I just don't know what I did wrong and my phone is just ... in a black screen after boot image.
I was currently on DP5 android 9 by @joeyhuab and everything worked perfectly. Today was released android Pie and I just want to try it. So, I made the steps for DP5 to PR1 and everything runs well until I reboot from TWRP to the system. Now when I turn the phone on. it just appears the boot logo and later a black screen.
I can't restart the phone pressing the power button after some seconds but it goes to the boot image and later the black image screen (of the dead) appears.
1. I can't go to TWRP. (power+ Vol+)
2. I can't go to Fastboot. (power+ Vol-)
3. Charge Image is not displaying.
Windows sounds when i connected on the black screen state but fastboot don't.
This is my first time dealing with this kind of problem. I just don't know what would be the next step to try, Mi A1 is one of the best phones and I don't want to lose it.

I am not able to do that I can't go to twrp mode here also same black black screen.I can go to fastboot mode but I am not enabled usb debugging mode and system is not recognising mobile.
Help me how can I solve this..
Thanks in advance. ?
Install 'scrcpy' in your PC. Try to flash twrp from PC using fastboot and adb method. (I hope fastboot shows up on your phone) if u can boot to twrp via PC then go ahead and install any other rom. If u can't then connect your phone to PC and open scrcpy.exe here you can control your screen. (Most custom roms come with usb debugging enabled, if not try " AEX V.6.1 rom)
Usb debugging is compulsory. Thanks a lot for the information I will try this.
So i had this exact same issue. It was booting to twrp but screen was just blank.
i was trying to root the devive so i flashed the zip file by following command through adb
adb shell twrp install /sdcard/Magisk-v23.0.zip
it flashed the magisk and it was done. Similarly you can flash any zip file. If zip file is not copied to internal memory you can copy it using following command
adb push Magisk-v23.0.zip /sdcard/
I hope it helps someone in need.
Thanks.
Hi similar problem. Phone was locked in bootloop. I use reset pin and flash latest fw, flash successful in 220sec. Then screen stays black. Holding any combination will power up phone with black screen... wonder if it burn resistor or it is a flash issue. Trying to reflash again, however it stays 1000sec and still flashing.
Hi have mine FIXED.
Tried again to flash with android 9. Not able to finish flash in 4hrs. Then disconnect. Screen show battery 100%, then again only black screen but powered. Also 3 buttons are lighting. So I start pushing them and the screen, got some feedback and sound from touching the screen. Then the phone restart, screen ON. Show the normal white screen and ENCRYPTING storage screen that should come after flash. Then again reboot itself and start installing android (just taking a lot of time). Now all work on android 9, not giving option for OEM update to android 10, however afraid to flash again... good enough for my son (either way will break it in an year).
p.s
Im Samsung S class user for 10 years, so it is quite unfriendly phone... (need debugging on to connect to PC, for file transfer )
At last I found a way to run TWRP on tissot correctly without black screen.
Just install oreo 3.2.1-2 on Mi A1 (tissot).
This file (recovery-3.2.1-2-oreo.img) is working well.
Download it from this site:

Reference:

Download Android 13.00 unofficial ROM for Mi A1 and install it easily by TWRP oreo 3.2.1-2:
