This shouldn't be on this forum, it should be under questions.
In any case there isn't any roms right now and you can't run 7.1.2 and 8.0 side by side because of encryption... just wait first for some roms

But with Dual boot Patcher you can boot each room without encryption.

anyone doing a miui 8 project. that be dope!
My old phone was an LG g3. It has the same resolution screen and miui 8 was ported to it... It could be possible to port to our phone but I've never built roms before so it won't be from me...

I hope MultiROM Support, MIUI and a Flyme OS port come to the Axon 7 in the future. I miss those days when I could switch between the three on my old M8.

you mean stock MiFavor, if so try with Ax7 Kernel or beastmod it may boot..
i'm not a dev, if anything to be tested ir debugged let me know.

No, i meant to say your building patch rom based on stock Mifavor, then you should use the custom kernel and try it's booting...
I know miui.. And try to build during s4 time and always failed..

i think think kernel boots but it fails to rom part a i have boot animation of miui but it stays there

I think he's talking about the multi-boot mod that is present also on oneplus 3/3t(sd821).
With that you can flash multiple ROMs and choose what to boot.

Sry to bother you but i tried flashing AOSP extended and lineage both didn't work lol.. Do you think it's worth trying to install your kernel after flashing the roms?

I tried for Lineage 5.1 (it's android 8.1 right?) but it said "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" My understanding is the kernel you posted is for Android Oreo? So i tried to install lineage15.1 which is also oreo after that i flashed the kernel and even erased dvlnk and cache but still got this error kernel is not seandroid enforcing.

The fixes needed for a2 on the P gsis probably are still needed. Needs vendor patch to disable encryption iirc.
Can be tried maybe with TWRP pitch black recovery, I just guessed https://youtu.be/_W343aUSOKk

I tried to boot it for a few hours using different patched kernels and vendors both stock and custom rom based, not happening at all. Massive errors all around. Wait for official update.

All I've seen is for the A1. I tried erfans and didn't work at all. What steps did you take to boot it?
I'm a fan of oneplus. I used to use 7pro and there are lots of roms like pe, havoc and others.Now I changed 7pro for 8pro .Does anyone tried to port third-party ROMs for 8pro ? if someone is trying, you can contact me by tg for i want to try it.：D：D

Why? There's a working TWRP now. That was the biggest roadblock afaik.
I'm definitely not a dev so really curious why you feel that way.

To build a ROM you need a functional Device tree, It takes sometimes to get the DT up, i'm aware that PA team is already have bootable builds.

I'm honestly not sure about this. Building and flashing ROM is just as easily as doing it for a device with TWRP
