Hard Brick i Think... - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have an SM-G928I telstra branded, i've tried flashing a autorooting kernel and it bootlooped my phone, after this i've flashed twrp and wiped the system... so right now i am on MAC OS X, i use JOdin3 and i've tried flashing a lot of firmwares, but JOdin3 gets stuck on Running, and in the Messages Box nothing seems to go on, i think i might just use the phone as a door stopper right now, but you guys are my last hope, if you know how can i get out of this situation please help me.
P.S. Don't tell me to use Odin on Windows because i do not have access to a windows computer

I think only way is odin on windows
Yeah, only way is odin on windows because JOdin3 is way outdated.

[Q] Pretty sure I didnt brick my phone, but not sure what to do

Sooooo, I may have bricked it. Any help would be appreciated.
So I got my new sd card and figured i would go ahead and partition for future use, if needed for apps2sd, or any other reason. Instead of going through adb I thought I would save myself some time and just do it from Rom Manager.
Now most of you probably already know what happened. Being as the storage on our devices is called "sdcard" I am humbly assuming that it thought I wanted to partition THAT.
Phone wont boot. Tried factory reset, but no surprise there, it did not work. Can get into download mode and reset menu.
Do I need to flash the factory pda, phone and boot files? Will that work? Where can I get it (preferably without the bloatware and root?????)? Do I need a specific version of odin or will the same one i used for my behold 2 be ok?
Sorry if any of this is stupid, I read these forums cause I want to learn as much as possible about my phone, but have limited experience messing with it. Might try Eugene's froyo just for kicks before I go back to factory. But is this the correct route, or should i just get a replacement?
**** update to issue in post 5

Thanks, makes sense. Download mode does not appear to be working now though, think i got into on accident trying to get to recovery mode.
Is it vol down plus power?
How do you know if you are in download mode? Once when i was in what i thought was download mode it said please wait downloading or something, big yellow characters, and when i hit menu in recovery mode it sent me to a screen with a little mailbox and an arrow coming out of it pointing to a little green android.
Which is dl mode?
ok, i got it into dl mode and when i flashed back to stock it still had a blank screen, like the post above says. But then when I tried to flash Eugene's froyo rom it froze on cach.rfs in odin and the screen on the phone went black. So after about an hour i pulled the plug and tried again, same thing, now when i go to flash back to stock, like previously, it does the same thing, freezing when odin gets to cache.rfs
Also the cell phone goes to a screen that has a cell phone and a computer and the link is broken by an exclamation point. cannot get into recovery mode from there but can get back to download mode.
Any help with all of this?
People have been saying that it could be a problem with your Operating System. Mines is Windows 7 64 - bit and when I use Odin it worked but I have experienced what you have; Odin getting stuck on cache.rfs. You can try on a Windows XP based computer to see if you have any success in that. Also you can possibly be using the wrong Odin. Try the Odin from either : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734475 , or : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=740558 . When I was using Odin it would get stuck on cache.rfs but I tried a different Odin and it worked fine again. Really hope this helps and sorry for the late response.

[Q] Help needed!!

Ok guys I seem to have a problem
I tried to flash the new firmware through Odin, and it went through ok. Restarted back into Android, then went to flash a custom recovery.
When I tried flashing the recovery, it said there was a PIT error, so I got the i9505 PIT and tried to flash it with the firmware in Odin.
It won't flash at all, everytime I get to NAND Write Start, it says right after Complete(Write) Operation Failed.
Am I pretty much screwed here?
Also it says Write Protection Enabled in the Odin Mode.
Any help would be great!
I can still get in Download Mode, but when I try to turn on, it mentions Firmware Problem and connect to Kies
try to restore it using kies, if that works.
I think I've brought my phone back from the clutches of death.
I've managed to re-partition using a .pit file, and flash back to AME3. Recovery flashed fine too. It seems I can't flash the MEA, it just corrupts my PIT every time I try and flash it... So I think i'll stick with AME3
interesting, something like this should never happen
I have the feeling it was something else, not the ROM itself...

I was thinking that myself.
I've never had problems flashing with Odin3 before, but saying that, i'm currently using my girlfriends Windows 8 x64 machine until I get a new laptop. To recover it, I used my dads Windows Vista laptop, and all flashed fine. Very strange.
Also does CSC matter? I'm in the UK, but Kies says my CSC is TGY, which is Hong Kong?

No for the CSC (as far as I know, at least).
It might have been the USB port you used. Also, if any Kies instance was still running, that can also lead to problems.
From what you wrote I think it was a problem with ODIN detecting the phone the right way...

I'm giving it another go on the Vista Machine.
Thing was, the MEA actually installed ok on this computer, but there was no WiFi, so I was going to install Philz CWM and clear data/cache etc. When I went to install the recovery, I got the error No PIT Information Found or something along them lines. From there, my problems really started. I can't understand why.
If it all works out well on the Vista machine, then I think it's safe to say that I won't be using Windows 8 to update my phone anymore.
I'll report back with any info.
Ok final update on this whole situation.
Using the Windows Vista laptop, I reflashed the pre-rooted MEA firmware. It all installed ok, no NAND Write Error, no fails.
Booted into Android, all seems fine. Wifi was working as expected.
Rebooted back into Download Mode, flashed Philz CWM Touch, failed first time, ran Odin3 as administrator and tried again.
Recovery flashed fine, no problems, no errors.
Rebooted into recovery, cleared cache, data.
Rebooted again into Android, finally setting up now.
All seems fine now, running MEA firmware, custom recovery

ODIN won't respond on PC

I'm having issues with version 3.07 and 3.09 of Odin on a borrowed HP windows 7 PC. It keeps saying "Not responding" immediate. This is one of the many reasons why i got rid of crap PC in first place and switched to a Mac a few years ago. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S5 Developers Edition. I'm trying to flash a rescue package stock rooted rom after accidently not unchecking reactivation lock in phone options when i went to do a regular TWRP backup a couple days ago. I need help with this and i'm getting few responses and i'm stressed out to get this working properly. I'm flashing tar files in PDA/AP. Please refer to fourm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747156&page=3
Also i was able to borrow a friends Dell W7 PC when i first got the phone and i rooted and flashed it just fine with Odin. I run Odin as Admin on PC.
Update need help!!!!!!!!!!
Thought someone would respond by now!? Well i loaded Windows 7 on virtualbox on my Mac and got ODIN to recognize my phone but it renders same windows error "NOT RESPONDING"! I'm despriate to get my phone in working order! There has to be someone that can help me?

At this point I think a PM to the developer is in order.

Another bricked phone... Please help.

I know I know... I am a filthy noob that bricked a priceless s7 edge... I installed a custom ROM everything went well! Then the performance was **** so I decided to install different ROM... Hydra Rom... Didn't decide to install stock before installing new ROM and now my device says "an error has occurred blah blah blah" tells me to boot into smart switch to fix... Only problem with that is when I try the initialization phase does not even start... It downloads the software/firmware but does not install it... I've tried downloading stock firmware on Odin works until I get to system.img then fails... Not exactly sure what to do at this point I think generally I am ****ed but there is always hope. Just like to mention the only thing I can do with the phone is boot into Download Mode but my computer does not recognize the device... I own the SM-G935W8 model eh and I know what my stock firmware is (Atleast I believe I know what it is according to smartswitch). Any help would be much appreciated.
What I have tried: Switching cables
Trying diffrent cables/usb ports
Trying diffrent firmwares
using kies/smartswitch
Any Help would go along way as I am broke af and cannot afford another phone so...
Have you tried rebooting the computer? When this happened to me, a simple reboot fixed it.
If you still have access to the download mode the phone is not bricked. You sure you have flashed proper version of rom? I mean the 935w8 version not the international one. If yes, try to flash on another pc

If you can get into Odin you can Flash firmware, go to sammobile.com download your firmware and do an MD5sum check on it.
Yeah I ended up fixing the phone thanks for the replys guys! have any idea why odin kept getting stuck on system.img... I just kept trying and suddenly it worked

Cant get my Mac to detect or recognize my S8

Hi
Read around XDA and other websites trying to solve my issues... no use.
hopefully im posting this in the right place, sorry if im wrong
SAMSUNG SM-G950FD
trying to root & unlock & TWRP my phone. REad all the steps, have all the different components.
Cant proceed because i cant get my phone to be detected by Odin.
Initially android transfer files wasnt recognizing phone so i figured hardware issue. changed the cable, port, removed smart switch app and removed all packages associated w/ ATF , and reinstalled android transfer file... phone was finally being recognized when plugged into mac.
now i tried running Odin through wine bottler - dont recognize device connected
tried Jodin - needed latest heimdall to run properly
I AM able to install heimdall latest version (incompatible for some reason, and im running OS Sierra 10.12.6) (all i have already is heimdall.frontend 1.4.0)
any tip to actually get Odin or Jodin to recognize and connect to my phone ?
thx
