Hello.
I got atm nougat with PLS csc, and want to flash with odin oreo with xeo csc. In odin when selecting BL AP CP and CSC ( not home_csc ) it always stop at set partition... Clicking repartition didnt help eaither.
And when I select home_csc - it skips all BL AP CP after phone turn on like after reset like nothing changed

Firmware - HOME_CSC - Odin 3.10.7

How to flash the firmware (5 files in archive) to your s7edge?
AP, CP & BL I understand, but the 2 CSC-files...?
CSC -> there's a PIT inside and will wipe your device
HOME_CSC -> the data should stay on your device
Today I tried to update with HOME_CSC, everything was OK, but at the end Odin 3.10.7 FROZE at "meta-data" (this folder is in the HOME_CSC file): nothing happened anymore and I had to pull the cable
Smart Switch didn't recognize my S7edge anymore for the "Emergency Firmware Repair"!
Luckely, Odin did recognize my device and could install the firmware with the "normal" CSC-file and afterwards my device was reset...
I hope someone has a solution on this, because I don't want to install everytime again and again...

same happened to me. I have the same question...

Well, the flash went just fine. No problems except the device reset at factory settings. As brand new one....
But of course I would like to know how to flash without resetting the device.
I had the same problem yesterday when used Home_CSC... flashed again with normal CSC and went back to normal with a formated user data
We really need a solution to that... What would happen if we skipped the CSC file when flashing thru ODIN?
Flashing with CSC and not home_CSC will also reset your CSC.
Eg: I was on VODAFONE Romania and flashed stock unbranded using CSC. The result was I lost my ROM (from Romania) CSC, and defaulted to XEO from the multi CSC.
In this situation you cannot go back to your original CSC even after flashing using Smart Switch.
Rooting is the only option then and that will trip Knox.

anybody figured this out?
Just had the same problem flashing with HOME_CSC it got stuck in ODIN and had to pull the cable.
Had to turn off phone and boot again in download mode to flash again with a straight CSC.

CSC contains an instruction that allow Odin to wipe the DATA
Code:
--update_package=CACHE:recovery/sec_csc.zip
--carry_out=csc_factory
--wipe_data
HOME_CSC contains instruction only to allow wipe of cache BUT the original HOME_CSC can cause Odin to freeze at the end of the flashing process.
Code:
--update_package=CACHE:recovery/sec_csc.zip
--carry_out=csc_home
--wipe_cache
That's why you need to modify the HOME_CSC using the CYGWIN tool.
Just dont flash the home csc. I never did it. Everything work greats.

HOME_CSC is supported on Odin version 3.11 or later. It's okay to flash it now.
Sorry to revive this thread but when a downgrade is done from Nougat back to Marshmallow a factory reset via recovery must be required if flashing HOME_CSC. Otherwise just use normal CSC on downgrade.
thank you

CSC empty (multi csc) after flashing firmware with odin

HI.
I have 935F I bought with the CSC TPA.
I flashed a new firmware with another CSC, and now the CSC of my phone is empty (Recovery says multi-csc).
I flashed via odin AP. Do I need also to flash the CSC file in odin?
What is the solution to get the new CSC?
Thanks!
I have flashed nougat via odin without csc. My csc info shows nothing now. Will it make any problem or what if i flash csc only via odin?

SM-G935F Firmware for United States

Hello, I purchase a SM-G935F from a pawnshop today that was flashed with a custom ROM however it does not boot. The phone goes into download mode just fine and want to flash stock firmware but cannot find the USA version. The box came the phone and appears to be a USA version, the UPC code on the box is 8806088275123 and I check the IMEI on a website service and it came back with this model number SM-G935FZKLTTT and says it was sold in the USA. Any help from members would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance for your help.

You can flash any region firmware on the SM-G930F phone, try this one:

Thank you my friend, trying now.
I forgot to tell you that factory reset is required when switching from custom rom to stock rom so make sure you flash the non home CSC file and not the home_csc file.

Yes, it is in the download. When you download Samsung firmware from Sammobile or Updato website they come in a zipped file. You'll need to extract the zipped folder which will give you multiple files labelled AP, BL, CP, CSC and lastly HOME_CSC.
This is an example of what the files look like when the files are extracted from the downloaded firmware zip file:
http://prntscr.com/k07am0
The non_home csc file is used to tell the phone to wipe the user data on the phone when flashed, the home CSC is used if you don't want to wipe the user data on the phone when flashing firmware.

Right now the phone will not boot, it shows the title of the phone but then just loops back to a black screen.

If you are flashing Oreo firmware which is 8.0 you need to use Odin 3.13 or newer as the older Odin software does not support flashing Oreo firmware.
The only buttons you need to click are BL, AP, CP, CSC then start and nothing else.
The default check boxes under options tab will be auto reboot and f reset time. Others should be left untouched and not checked.
You'll need to reboot download mode again which can be done by holding the download mode keys until you get that blue screen again or that it says that something ran into a problem with the blue screen which allows flashing as well.

Hello again, well I thought it worked because I got a PASS in Odin however, when the phone boots, I get a Black screen saying Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge then it goes to a blue screen with the android logo and it says erasing at the bottom for a few seconds then the screen goes black. The phone still goes into download mode however, it will not go into recover mode. Before flashing this I could get into recovery mode but would see a custom page with loading and rebooting options. Am I missing the stock boot loader? So sorry to keep bothering you about this.

SM-T580 Stock FW - CP partition missed ?

I do have problems - Wifi and BT can't be enabled. So I want to reflash Stock Rom.
In the manual at sammobile.com is mentioned to flash 4 partitions, AP, BL, CP, CSC - but in the download zip file there is no CP file (Modem/Radio).
I assume a reflash of CP might useful to recover Wifi/BT. How to get this file? Anything else I can do?
In the stock firmware there should be 4 files. I have this tab and have flashed OS without any problem. While downloading the firmware pls, Check the region and build number.
