Got App problems still

aight i have the .zip file for beautiful widgets..ive searched and searched for the apk..CAN NOT FIND IT..i was told just to change the zip to apk..did that didnt show up n my app manager..tried putting it on raw sd..no luck..last option is to come back to xda..can anyone shine some light here..

It's a paid app and you're asking for help on how to install it from the sdcard? I don't know what the rules are regarding this kinda thing, but if you want help pirating apps I'm sure as hell not gonna give it to you
Also, it's "Linux" not "Lunix"

AdrianK is correct in saying that you should not be seeking advice on how to pirate apps and burn their developers.
You will not be able to find the .apk file through most means BECAUSE this is a paid app.....

i wasnt trying to "burn" or "pirate" no body..just couldnt figure it out..but i got the knowledge now..figured since i got the zip that i could just install it but guess not..

Beautiful Widgets is a paid app, you're rtying to install the apk from your sdcard for some reason. Piracy is the only reason you wouldn't get it from the market.

I don't get it. Just install it from Market. Who needs the .zip file... unless of course it's pirated. If that's the case then get your instructions from another forum.

lol..you funny man..just told you i wasnt trying to do that my guy..but obviously i got the zip from off of xda or else i wouldnt have it..if i had hacked the app i wouldnt have asked how to install it..but like i said i got the knowledge

Right ok, just seemed like the only obvious reason. Kinda curious why the apk for a paid app was posted here, oh well nevermind.

no ringtones ??? latest froyo build ?

i dont seem to have any ring tones ?? only silent ? also a can seem to get a message tone alert !?

Had the same issue myself so I just went to the market and downlaoded an app called ringtones... neat little tool that lets you pick any of your mp3 files and crop a section of them to use as a ringtone for any individual or to use as the default tone.. On the downside I don't seem to be able to hear anyone today and they cant hear me.. doh

Same here having the same problem. Tried all kind of ways like download tone picker and select a tone from there, go to music and set a song as ringtone, moved media folder to root of sdcard, reboot my phone but all cant At the most after rebooting, the phone only ring only 1 secs and goes back to slient again and cant even vibrate too.. But yet i can received sms with a tone with vibration..
Any kind souls to help?

Hi, thanks to all.. Finally found the problem y i cant get my incoming call ringtone. I AM SO STUPID! After i tried and tried and even ask u guys for help, the main problem is there's an application been blocking my incall tone which is glocker. after i uninstall it, i can received my call with ringtone already.

Hi,
Tried to download the media.zip , extracted it to my Android folder, rebooted - still no ringtones at all.
Also tried putting it in the root of the SD card, still nothing
Also tried to call the folder audio.

^^^Thanks Had the same problem also too and could not figure out how to fix it. If only I searched for this earlier I could of save so many hours.

Hey, that's fine, I've found the reason why my phone stopped to ring : an app not compatible with version 2.2.1 called NetQin Mobile Manager v3.2 ! I just uninstalled it and my phone found back his voice ! lol !

Did you flash the new. 38 and you were unable to download the data file for Lets Golf game? I tried every possible way and no go. Any idea? Please post your feedback. Thanks.

Either the link is wrong or the file has been removed.

unzip inside /sdcard/gameloft/games/letsgolf/
and you will be able to play without downloading from the tablet
But really nobody think that was just a GAMELOFT problem...

I didn't mean that your time is less valuable than mine. It's only that to download the firmware, extract it and take the framework-res.apk requires an hour about.. Instead you (I think you have an S5 since you are in S5 section) will spend just five minutes to upload the apk on whatever Hosting service.. Could you make me this favour?

the thing is I want you to upload this two Apps specifically from grand prime and they are system apps
they are : "MTP Application" and "USB Settings"
and thank you very very very very much because I really really need those apps because they were deleted from my phone

like hell I do,yes but there is a problem with my current ROM,MTP Application and USB Settings apps are deleted,just read the names and you'll see that those two apps are responsible of connecting with PC!
since I don't have them,I cant's install a new ROM,see?

Look bro Mtp, Usb or whatever apps u are asking doesnt Relate to connecting ur phone.in Download mode!
Just Switch it off and open Odin and select d file and
PRESS VOLUME DOWN, HOME,AND POWER AT THE SAME TIME TILL U DONT FEEL A VIBRATION and peave it
Then select yes to boot in download
And connect ur phone and let ur pc or laptop do its works they will load the driver automatically and just Flash!!
DONE

Move usbsettings and it's odex file to system/app give permission rw-r-r, and mtpaplication and it's odex to system/priv-app give permission rw-r-r, reboot and test if now your phone is recognized by the pc.

Did work? Or didn't? If didn't work maybe you should take it to Samsung care because is possible that is hardware problem.
