Will a cwm data wipe, wipe my internal storage?

If you're referring to wiping cache, dalvik cache, or factory reset, then no. However, there are specific options to format the internal storage, and obviously, those will wipe the internal storage.

In recovery, just select Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache (under advanced), and under Mounts and Storage select Format System.

Hi, I'm on PA 3.99 rom and I'd like to install Purity Rom, but it's required a full wipe. My recovery is TWRP, so for a full wipe I need to wipe cache, dalvink cache, system and factory, right? Internal and External card isn't necessary, right? Because It will erase the Purity zip in my memory and I won't be able to installed. If possible I'd like a clear response, so I'd finally understand what to do exactly with no more worries.

That's correct, cache, dalvik cache, data and system. Your external sd and internal sd should be untouched.

A factory reset in recovery wipes /cache and /data ... the dalvik cache resides on the data partition and is thusly wiped also.
You could wipe /system to be "thorough" ... but the Rom zip.should have a format /system line in the updater script.
I only ever do a factory reset between roms.
Thank you very much, it's what I wanted to hear! (Never understood if wipe factory was even wipe data ahah XD)

can i install new custom rom without wiping the internal storage??
You don't have to wipe internal storage for that. Just wipe Dalvik, Data, System and Cache.
