AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the LAOS team will if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

* Your warranty is now void.

* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please

* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Go to Aicp Extras/Navigation bar, and enable it.
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot your device.
7. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
8. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash.
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use the LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

@erfanoabdi
So, this ROM is based on LOS, but there is no official version of LOS 15. How does that fit? Is it based on an unofficial version?
How did it come that you maintain an official ROM?
Do you plan to integrate full Moto MOD support again?
Does it work with your TurboZ Kernel?
Have a nice day!

Loving it so far. Looking forward to where this goes, just switched over from your Lineage build and honestly this feels a bit better on battery for me, maybe its cause i switched to permmissive, idk.
Hey @erfanoabdi, since efficency mode is working on LAOS it'll work on the next AICP build?

Hey guys....
I really appreciate your work.
I just flashed the weekly update of the aicp and found that the camera isn't working. With the nightly build the moto camera worked but the stock google camera didn't. Any suggestions?

Tell me your Rom flashing procedure. Or try again by flashing Firmware (updated) first, then Rom and gapps.
IR works?
Fast discharging rate and the recents key works as a menu key.
Would love to know if anyone confirms that Fingerprint and IR works.
There's a bug in music player. When i play then pause a song on headphones, the volume goes up then goes back to normal. Front camera is not working. When i open camera app then switch to front cam, it crashes. Also, IR doesn't work.

6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the deivce, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

How to fix that
Device is not certified by Google
unable to sign in to my gmail account, just showing me the loading screen. installed the gapps 8.0 pico.
In the notification in AICP extensions, it is totally blank.
Also expecting some useful features like volume rocker wake up(as I want to save my power button), long press torch etc. battery draining is normal, charging is comparatively fast with stock rom.

I don't observed camera, but battery backup is bad, nitrogen os in oreo is giving better battery life. Compared to other, in aicp and other oreo roms has poor kernel management, and massive battery drain. Nitogen, pixel roms have good kernel management but offline charging bug is main problem

Flashed the latest 20180421 build from yesterday which is not uploaded here, I'm happy with the rom giving outstanding battery life and is smooth. Over 4h sot for 26% with 1h online gaming, at this rate and with no gaming 8.5-9h is achievable for 50% used.

Downloaded and flashed last night, works almost perfectly. However I have issues with bluetooth headsets. While playing media, it works great. But on a call or anything related to headset microphone, it simply does not work.
I have made some research in the forum and found this topic:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/help/issues-bt-16s-t3543635
So it seems like replacing the bluetooth so file will solve the issue, but I have to make sure which one could be used. Is it possible to extract the bluetooth file from the stock Nougat rom and use it on AICP Oreo? Or should I look elsewhere to find a working bluetooth file?

I tried each version, but no change at all. Playing music is absolutely okay, sound quality is always perfect. The issue is only with calls or any microphone-related function.
Here you have a solution for low call and mic install es file explorer enable root from option ant go system, etc. Mixer path open it scroll down near end now check handset digital value go editor and chage from 84 to 92 than change earpiece value from 6 to 8 save it and reboot phone now feel awesome in call sound

5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every ROM update
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

I like the Pixel Experience, but after using some days, weeks always get a lag. For this time always reinstalled, but now tested some roms, and finally this is fast, no lag after one week. Other roms has a lot of feature, but never use that modifications 90% like in RR or others. So in this rom the gestures great, performance ok., what I need for me it's better then the others.

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.
*

You tell...
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:

Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

Thanks for awesome rom!
Does this Rom support fp gestures?
Yeah it does...,
Bro I had flashed aosp extended and now I'm on havoc but on both Roms finger print unlock and gestures are not working. Before flashing these 2 ROMS I had accidentally wiped internal storage too and now I'm having these problem.
Before wiped my internal storage all ROMs were working fine .if I flash your ROM bro will it be okay? Or you can help me to get back these features again.

Fingerprint unlock and features are working fine in these ROMs. You simply have to encrypt your phone...via settings. Then it will work again. It's a common thing

After using this rom for some time... Here's my verdict
Pros....
1. Top notch performance (smoother than aex)
2. Battery performance is also great.
3. Awesome customisation option.
4. Live display option is present here.
5. Ambient works like charm.
6. First rom to implement one plus like swipe gesture (back gesture work from bottom)
7. Android p like volume slider
Cons....
1. Face unlock is the worst u will find.
2. Missed some more lock screen clock and date style.
3. No list view animation.
4. There should be an option to change volume slider at bottom.
Rest is good, I will keep this list updated each time I discover new pros or cons.
The legendary rom is back ?
