The bootloader is the problem (you need to flash the 4.3 boot loader)
Warining: (thx to @Entropy512)
Flashing bootloaders is a dangerous operation - it's one of the few ways you can hardbrick your device.
THIS IS TEMPORAL , you take the risk.
The steps:
Flash bootloader.img of android 4.3 (us global) / mfastboot.exe flash motoboot motoboot.img
4.3 bootloader -> http://www.mediafire.com/download/7i75m96r692rp78/bootloader-downgrade.zip
Flash the Custom Recovery / mfastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
Install superSU zip from the recovery
You can come back to 4.4 Bootloader / But you can't use the recovery
4.4 bootloader -> http://www.mediafire.com/download/wd4rhkqbo7797r0/bootloader4.4.zip
Minimal Adb : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1S0LCuXCnnmSWh6NGJmSE1BUWc/edit
mfastboot : http://www.4shared.com/zip/ijBhKGjk/mfastboot-v2.html?cau2=403tNull&ua=WINDOWS
Firmware US GLOBAL : http://sbf.droid-developers.org/download.php?device=14&file=127
Thx to fibblesan who gave me the idea
(Sorry for my bad english)
THIS METHOD IS NO LONGER NECESSARY
just flash CWM and SuperSU -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563599

With the 4.3 boatloader, you can actually flash the recovery permanently instead of just booting from it. If you want. But yeah. I did this with the official 4.4 OTA and it worked perfectly. Thanks for doing a guide for others.

Do anyone have the 4.3 stock recovery or where do we get out from?
Sent from my XT1034 using Tapatalk
I tried but I'm getting a boot failed error in the bootloader screen
Enviado desde mi XT1032 mediante Tapatalk
Thanks this method works great got cwm and root on official kitkat ota. I flashed the US motoboot.img, then flashed cwm recovery, and finally flashed su. All is working great for me!
Attached is the bootloader from 4.3 and mfastboot. You will want to flash the bootloader using mfastboot instead of just regular fastboot. You need to make sure you have ADB setup.
Just extract these files to the folder where ADB is located, then open a command prompt to that same folder and run this command:
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
Click to collapse
Then you can flash CWM recovery and it will work just fine for you. The first time you reboot from CWM, it will ask if you want to disable the stock recovery flash. Make sure you chose "yes".

Thanks for the boot.img

You can just flash the 4.4 bootloader after. Unless we find some major issues running kitkat with the older bootloader then it's probably best to stay with the older one as you cannot use any custom recovery with the newer bootloader.
Here are the bootloaders:
4.3 http://www.mediafire.com/download/7i75m96r692rp78/bootloader-downgrade.zip
4.4 http://www.mediafire.com/download/wd4rhkqbo7797r0/bootloader4.4.zip
Both zips contain the moto fastboot which you need to use to flash them to your device.

I missed it on the very first boot. No root, no Titanium Restore and no Gravity Box. Reason enough to do the easy step outlined here, worked just fine.
Can this be used for United Kingdom Moto G too?

You have to unlock the bootloader again. You can flash that daily update that let you unlock the bootloader from Flyme's file system explorer, IIRC.

What I don't understand is how the recovery becomes corrupt.
If you flash the update.zip, the following gets updated:
bootloader on [sdb] [unlockable ONLY if on the 5.6.1.19.daily rom]
ldfw on [ldfw]
dtb on [dtb]
logo.bin on [bootlogo]
boot.img on [bootimg]
recovery.img on [recovery]
system.new.dat on [system]
The only way i see is if you flash a non-signed recovery after you flash the update.zip and then reboot.
Is this correct or do people have other experiences ?

Or get a tool to sign the recovery imge with correct key. The multitool exists but the key is missing to sign the file.

the only way i see, u cannot lose recovery and get locked bl with normal update file, only if u deleted recovery and bl files from zip and forgot to put there your's. This is happens because before update, phone is deleting everything by the command in update.zip, in this case recovery gonna be deleted, but not reinstalled again. This is my opinion how it's gonna be.
that is impossible that you have no recovery in your phone.Try to enter the recovery by push the volume button. If it is not work, then try to enter the bootloader with the volume button and unlock the bootloader again. But in fact i am not sure if a special situation happend on your phone because this brand of phone is extremely weird.
afraid to loose recovery

Hello
I am afraid to loose recovery while flashing a new sock ROM...
In a stock image, should we really remove recovery.img OR replace it with your TWRP_3.0_m86_patched_st0rm77.img file to be sure to keep TWRP running ?
As said p82maarj
in https://forum.xda-developers.com/meizu-pro-5/development/recovery-twrp3-0m86patchedst0rm77-t3469296
Isn't it simplier to perform those steps in TWRP :
flash rom zip, flash unlocked bootloader zip and flash TWRP zip

?
Thanks in advance for your input.
EDIT : indeed all is well working smoothly without modifying the ROM if you flash the 3 zips in that order.

IDK the best approach but If you replace recovery and end up with a locked boot loader twrp wont be booted. This can soft-brick your phone, esp if the stock image wont boot either.
Thankfully there is this ugly guide on here to restore the unlocked bootloader + recovery. Ugly because you have to install a 32 bit windows in vmware player, fully update that installation and then you can use the tools there to repair your phone.
i have problem with my phone somehow my phone bricked,
fastboot mode is bricked,
cant flash via fastboot, oem locked, also cant get oem unlock data,
i have also tried RSDLite , failed
If you still recognize the pc the device just flashes again

Yes, but you can keep the data by selecting to flash only the system.
And you can also flash only the stock boot.img with command "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

I'm stuck and need help. I've unlocked my phone and installed the PDA4 TWRP. Then I wanted to flash the AndroidParanoid ROM.
Before I could flash it, i had to format data.
Then I sideloaded the zip file via ADB to the phone and restarted
And now all I can do is get into fastboot. When I install TWRP again, the phone hangs at the MI splashscreen.
No clue what to do, as I cannot find a fastboot ROM for my global / europe Mi 9T.
Any help is welcome.

Hi, Possibly noob question here...
I have successfully unlocked the bootloader on my redmi 9T (mi 9T) and downloaded the corresponding twrp, it flashed successfully and returned the output
Sending 'recovery' (65536 KB) OKAY [ 1.985s]
Writing 'recovery' OKAY [ 0.258s]
Finished. Total time: 2.261s
however, I got stuck on fastboot mode, tried "fastboot reboot" command as well as using hardware keys but it boots into fastboot mode again
how can I get out of the fastboot mode or at least recover the phone to the factory state

Are you talking about Redmi 9T or Mi 9T (aka Redmi K20, davinci) - this is the forum for Mi 9T (not for Redmi 9T)
They are different phones, make sure you flash the correct TWRP (do not flash TWRP for Mi 9T to your Redmi 9T or vice versa)

Yeah sorry, however, I could not possibly get out of the loop so I had to flash stock ROM to be able to use my phone.
You need to wipe data and internal storage after installing TWRP and reboot. Happened to me too.
