Revert
Reverted back to version 2.5.8 on my Acer Aspire R3-131T-C4TH. <--Luckily I had a recent BackUp.
The system was very very slow. <-- Even the fade-in on the bootanimation took like 5 seconds.
Keep up the good work.

Use this tool.. You can easily update google play service to latest version.. All gapps functions are working well on PhoenixOS..
Can anybody help? When i boot from USB with PhoenixOS 2.5.9 created with Rufus i see only grub2 command line and no another interface. I tried both GPT and MBR modes for creating boot-USB drive. What I should do to install OS? Maybe I should type something into this command line?
re-install?

How to install Phoenix OS 2.5.9 64 bit?
I want to install Phoenix OS 2.5.9 on an 5 year old Laptop (Acer Aspire 5733z) currently running Window 10 32bit.
My laptop has 64 bit processor Intel pentium p6200 and 2 GB ram.
My laptop can support and run phoenix os 64 bit version. But I have to install it from ISO file because 64 bit version has a x64 installer which my window don't support.
For safety of my files, i installed Phoenix os 64 bit from iso with window 10 in oracle virtual box. It installed and worked perfectually.(testing in oracle virtual box happened on another computer)
But now there is no option to boot window 10 in GRUB bootloader only Phoenix os.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks in advance!

No . Day to Day mobile OS are getting heavier too . Processors with 32 bit architecture can't handle that much load.
So , i think 32 bit version of phoenix os will now stick at old 1.5.0 lolipop version.

I offered myself to do a guide to install Windows 10 on the Winbook TW800/801, this might work for the others too and even for other tablets, however.
TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR TABLET OR THE WORLD.
This guide is very tedious but it will payoff in the long run, I regret nothing and I will not comeback to Windows 8/8.1.
-Requirements:
2 - USB Stick: 16GB or more. Why 2?: I just want to make sure nothing goes wrong, I will explain later why.
USB Hub with USB Keyboard and USB Mouse
A brain?
I will simplify the guide, later I will make a longer one, and see if more devices work.
Step 1. Do the gansta rap. Go to Control Panel > Backup and Restore.
Step 2. When asked rock and plug in one of the USB then make the HDD backup.
Step 3. With the second USB Stick now make a backup of Windows folder.
Step 4. Extract the Windows 10 ISO (recommended builds 10041 or 10049) in the C:/ Disk
Step 5. Enter the extracted Windows 10 folder, then enter > Source
Step 6. Execute the Setup.exe in the source folder, not the one outside that folder or else it will give you error.
Step 7. Follow all the normal steps to install Windows, it will not give you the option to format but it will let you install it.
Step 8. After it is installed nothing will work, this is where the USB Hub / Keyboard and Mouse will give be of use.
Step 9. After plugging the USB Hub / Keyboard and Mouse also put the USB Stick where the Windows folder is located.
Step 10. Go to Device Manager and then all the devices with ? or ! go to them and update drivers, use specific location and put the location where the old Windows folder is.
Step 11. Repeat the same for all devices even for all the devices that are working fine without any symbol, same goes for graphic.
Step 12. ENJOY!, now unplug everything touch and WiFi/Bluetooth and anything else should be working.
I will update the guide in some more hours to add more information.

I don't have any Lumia phone that I could try it on, sorry mate.
Thanks but it didn't work for the TW800 I'm missing hard drive space on this POS and it won't let me do it off of removable media either. Sucks looks like I'm stuck with 8.1 for ever.
I successfully installed windows 10 on my TW-801 with the free windows 10 download and everything works perfect. I went directly to Microsofts website and first installed internally - I had to install it twice the second time via the sdcard image so it does not ask you for the product key. I am also running Ubuntu via VMWare virtual machine on this tablet. Windows 10 is so much better than 8.1 on this tablet. Also when you download windows 10 it gives you the option of 32 or 64 bit. I just installed the 32 bit since the stock 8.1 was 32 bit - but I am wondering since it is a 64 bit processor if you can install the 64 bit version.

The 1511 build installer won't finish on the WinBook tablets. You should use the installer from July 29th to get Windows 10 on it, then let it update itself to 1511.
how you can fix touchscreen and gaerometer drivers? I have win10 on my TW800 but only work with keboard and mouse and vertical postion. Any drivers you have for those too becasue rest is working better than 8.1
so how i can fix it? Microcenter said they are not supporting Windows 10 rollback to Windows 8.1 but which version or where i can find drivers they are not helping too.
Thanks @TravisAntonio !
For anyone still fooling with the TW801, I'm about to find out if I can fresh install the latest Windows 10 (otherwise using these instructions), however, if build 1903 still has the same installation problem that 1511 evidently had, Dell has a webpage here where they give direct Microsoft hosted download links to the 32 and 64-bit versions of the MediaCreationTool for build 1507. Note that even if you want to download the 32-bit version but you're doing it on a 64-bit PC, you want the 64-bit MediaCreationTool - you can still download the 32-bit ISO from the 64-bit tool. I can confirm that although the size of the build 1507 ISO doesn't match up with the sizes listed on Dell's site (same link as above), the size is close enough - possibly the tool is downloading the very last, most up to date build 1507 ISO.
The direct Microsoft hosted download links for the build 1507 MediaCreationTools are:
x86: MediaCreationTool
x64: MediaCreationTool64
Once I get around to actually fooling with the tablet again, I'll post an update regarding which fresh install build I had to use.

Thanks for share me such information. I am also using window 10 64 bit version.
Well, some great news. I followed the directions but with a very recent build 1903 of Windows 10 x86, downloaded 8/17/2019 - MD5 of the ISO was A9E0929B411E18867F6A630A8C4731FD (I'm giving the MD5 because one x64 ISO I downloaded just three weeks prior would never work correctly on my regular PC but the x64 ISO I downloaded the following week has worked perfectly.
Possibly very important: First, I didn't have to use the Setup.exe in the Sources folder - I used the main Setup.exe, I unchecked the option to keep personal files and apps, and I allowed it to download all updates and drivers. No idea if that made any difference, but it's what I did.
The bad news is I think my USB port is busted - I was hoping a fresh Windows install would fix the problem but alas it's probably because the tablet hit the floor last week. Devices get some power but as you can see in the screenshot attached of Device Manager within a minute of logging into the new Windows installation for the first time, all device drivers are installed but when I plug anything into the USB port, I get the "Unknown USB Device (Set Address Failed)" error. Port worked fine 4-5 months and possibly more recently but the tablet fell on the floor last week so guessing that's why it's not working.
It's a good thing the drivers loaded on their own since I couldn't even use a USB keyboard and mouse. I don't know if the MicroUSB port is actually a proper USB port as well, but first, it's wonky already - the power cable has to have pressure coming from underneath it to tilt it a little "down" into the port in order to charge, and so far with any MicroUSB adapter, I haven't gotten any regular USB devices to work through it.
Cheers!
Edit: Forgot to mention that when Windows was booting the first time after the install was complete, it eventually froze on some kind of progress screen (immediately before the OOBE). The tablet screen would still both timeout and go dark and respond to power button presses but would still have the progress circle frozen. I believe I was still able to get to a shutdown menu, if I remember correctly, and shut down the tablet, after which I was able to start it back up and boot fully up without a hitch.
Also note that I had a small fan blowing on the back of the tablet all along
Great write,thanks for sharing
1. Download Android Nougat 7.0 ISO file[Developed by Android x86].
2. Download Rufus win App to Create Bootable/Live USB.
3. Insert USB with Minimum 4GB and select Downloaded ISO file and finally start.
4. After Finishing, Create New/ Separate Partition in PC for Android to be Installed with Minimum of 16GB Disk Size and Format it as FAT32.
5. After formatting, Reboot PC.
6. Boot PC from USB.
7. Select Install android x86 to HDD.
8. Now In bluescreen Select the Separate Fat32 formatted Partition to Install.
9. Do not Format.( I didn't formatted and it works fine).
10. Install Boot Loader GRUB.( It will replaces default Windows Bootloader).
12. Next it shows up that your are having Windows Partition and asked to create boot item for windows. Select Yes for that else you won't be able to boot into Windows next time.
13. Next Select Skip for EFI GRUB2.(I Skipped and worked for me, I think because I'm having Legacy PC).
14. Then Select Yes to Create Read/Write enabled system directory.
15. Now To create data.img, select yes and then Enter the Size you need for System Memory in MBs (1GB-1024MB).
16. Now Accept Reboot and then Boot Android from GRUB Menu.

No Playstore!! Browser does not download files!!!
So after wasting 400mb of data and roughly 30 minutes of my time, I discover that there is no preinstalled PlayStore, the preinstalled browser will not download APKs and trying to install apps from the online MarketPlace only discovers devises that the email used to Sign In with is associated to, not the device this is installed on.
These things SHOULD by all ethical means be stated in the description to prevent others from wasting both their time as well as their data.
I want to see a solution to these problems Shanmukarajan. Should you decide to neglect this issue, I won't hesitate to have this post reported to the moderators.
Thank you in advance for your prompt support on the matter.

I performed the installation process about 10 times with different settings but none of them seem to install Android on my HDD. The live version works and there are no errors whatsoever, but even after installation there is never an option to boot the installed Android. Only live, debug or again option to install the OS. Does anyone know the solution?

Have you tried selecting yes to GRUB 2 during installation? It's been a little while since I went through the process, but I believe that was what I had to do to get it up and running.

Yeah I have the same issue with my Sony VAIO Duo 11. To start from power off I have to hit the special Duo Assist button, then F11 to boot from usb, then go thru the (re) install every time, so boot takes a couple of minutes, but it always bring me back to the same great working Android with all apps and setting unchanged. I don't understand, but I just happened onto it. Be sure to not format or install any grub (not really sure about grub or grub2), but yes to make it writeable. Then you get an awesomely fast Android.
I don't even want Windows on that machine, but I'm afraid to kill all the partitions and start from scratch as the Duo has some weird builtin Windows boot stuff hard wired. I'm not sure if Android could boot without the Windows partitions.
When I am creating a new partition with 16 GB of space does it mean that Android is going to use just this partition and 16 GB or is it just for the installation files and Android will see my whole HDD as the internal storage?

Did you change the boot sequence in bios? Select android to boot 1st, then Grub should ask you which os you want to launch. I installed grub 2. I also went with the triple boot. My laptop is an Asus x401a with windows 7. Along with ubuntu and android. x86 Nougat.
A little help here mates,
I installed it alongside a windows 7 ultimate.
Gave it an 80gb Partition (fat32)
So I'm planning a dual boot here.
Here's my Steps:
used rufus to create bootable from android-x86-8.1-r1.iso
booted to Flash drive
installed android to 80gb partition (with grub/windows boot entry/ and data image of 2048MB)
after installation, Reboot to test boot options
grub didn't show up, booted directly to win7
Did some researches, and from those researches I should disable SECURE BOOT, but bios don't have that option.
Also tried EasyUEFI Tool which didn't even work in windows 7
Also, no settings for UEFI or Legacy.
Boot Order doesn't show Windows bootmanager or grub too, only HDD....
I installed android in ASUS Eee Notebook Laptop 1201b
I think the only problem here is grub cant load, but I run out of solutions, so here I am asking for help.

This version is 64bit with Kernel 4.9
Add Multiboxing feature(The feature allows you to create a duplicate of an app. The duplicate and origin one run separately with independent data and resources. All data in the duplicate will be erased after it's eliminated while data of the original one is still there.)
The screen problem cause by Nvidia Graphics card has been fixed.
Improve compatibility.
Update pre-installed apps
Support OTA
The keyboard mapping will automatically suspended while you're entering text.

Lost sound with update
Hi Guys. After days of setting up my cheap X86_64 Chuwi Android box to run PhoenixOS and windows and to boot normally I lost sound after update. I had the hacked 2.0.1 version with gapps and root from a forum on the PhoenixOS website. Sorry I can't post links yet. So somehow someone got sound to work on this device but not sure how they did it. Windows says my soundcard is a Intel SST Audio Device (WDM). So now I have 2.0.2 but no sound. . Any Ideas?
Hey , where to download 2.0.2 32bit ? 64 bit is not working for me , same Problem like remix 64, blisspop 64 and all other Android x86_64 ... Just looping before bootlogo. I dont understand why becorse win 7 and 10 64 also working fine like of all Android x86 32. thanks
Version 2.0 is available for 32b
@wizmart
I know but 2.0.0 is not the same as 2.0.2 i will try it today , but i dont understand why 64 bit is looping while win 64 is working. I hope soon every New Version would be arriveable AS 32 bit , many people i know only can use 32 bit on older PCs.
stucks at a black screen..seems to be a bootloop on my laptop..(amd a4-6210)
tried dual booting with ubuntu and windows..same result
but boots fine on my computer with intel i3 and nvidia card!
can anyone tell me what is the problem and if there is a 32 bit version that will work? i need this for development processes!

The problem is I'm on Linux Debian/Ubuntu, that's why I working with VirtualBox. When I had windows, I just used Nox an Memu (Emulators) to play games, but on linux I can't find any emulator with 3d acceleration and gps support. I don't want to mess up with my partition table, and reserve space which I possibly not use. This is big advantage of virtual machines - they can create dynamically expanding hard drive images.

Although I'm not a Linux user, but I used to install Zorin OS before and failed, but I use Live USB at the moment, so I think you have to use Wine.
First, install Phoenix OS through the Exe installer to the C Drive.
Second, you'll find where Phoenix OS installed at /home/username/.wine/drive_c/PhoenixOS.
There's also a folder that contains grub.cfg, I don't remember where it is, you can copy Phoenix OS entry to your own grub.cfg.
I didn't try but that came up to my mind randomly.
If you're an average Linux user you'll understand.
So.. I just installed Phoenix OS on my laptop, using the latest exe file. Once finished, I went on to restart the PC, then, there is a screen / terminal that I can choose between 2 OS, which is my Windows 10 , and Phoenix OS. Picking Windows 10 would boot Windows 10, but when I pick Phoenix OS, it just goes black, then after 5 seconds it just restarts and goes back to the terminal. Reinstalling won't help. Turning off secure boot and fast boot also doesnt work. Please help.
.
If you are wondering if there are any white text or logs that show when I pick an OS on tge terminal, there is, but only when I pick Windows 10, picking phoenix, as I already said, doesn't show anything, just blackness, though I know the laptop is turned on because I can see the brightness, and after 5 seconds, it turns off and turns back on again (restarts)
My laptop specs are.. AMD A9-9420 , RADEON R5 M420, 4GB RAM.
Asus X555BP
have you tried this or this ?
I haven't tried any of those solution, I will try them out. But I am unsure on how to do the solution where you replace the grub file from ubuntu(?) because I do not have ubuntu and also, i do not have any knowledge about that OS. . Recently, I tried installing Phoenix OS via ISO using a bootable flash drice, and it gives me the same result. When I choose install on harddrive, it just restarts on the terminal, when i try boot directly from usb, it also restarts. Maybe theres some incompatability issues on my hardware?
EDIT: So sorry for not reading the whole thing, the grub files were on the attachements. I feel so dumb
Tried the two solutions, none worked. I will read from that thread and see if i can find any other solutions

Thanks. Everyone tried to make their (old) rig work on Phoenix, I found installing 1.5 worked for me, too bad it is very outdated with the Play service unable to update (Error 910). Do you have any clues what could go wrong?
Thinkpad x100e, AMD NV-40, 4G RAM
I have installed Phoenix Os on a variety of laptop and pc processors, succes install Phoenix Os on Acer A6 and Lenovo A8 with Phoenix ROC : D, sucess installs my PC core 2 duo E7500 with Phoenix Os v1.5 because it only supports sse4.1, and my laptop Lenovo a9 succes install Phoenix OS with a little problem in UEFI bios settings, try to set UEFI to allow access to Boot for Phoenix OS, so if anyone thinks Phoenix OS can't be installed on the AMD processor it is wrong >: |
