It won't work. It is a hardware limitation of the device. You either need to buy a device that supports Bell's LTE frequency OR live with HSPA+. The only thing I can suggest is getting a new SIM card, BUT I highly doubt it will work.

If you have T-Mobile, that means you live in America. If you want help with a problem and want help PLEASE use some proper English. AT LEAST write out the entire word.

Sort, the hspda bands are hardware specific. You cannot change them; there is no hack that will fix this.

I assume he wasn't referring to your English as grammar, but rather as spelling. (i.e. instead of typing "ur", it'd have been better to write "you are")
You can try Arabic, I will be more than glad to help .
Actually I was referring to mms having nothing to do with hspa.
Mms is just a data heavy sms, and will use whatever cell data connection is available, Gprs, edge or hsdpa, it doesn't know and doesn't care whether hsdpa is active or not.
Example, the donated heart for transplant doesn't know or care if its being transported by cycle, car or express motorbike.

Hey hey long time no see,
I have a problem only you guys can fix. Please please please tell me some one has a solution.
My US T-Mobile Mytouch 4G is stuck on Edge... but I am using a Pre-Paid At&t sim card, everything works its just stuck on Edge. I this normal ? I dont think so. Any ideas ?
More Info :
ROM: Carbon 4.3(Unoffical 15SEP13)
Kernel: 3.0.96-Evervolvcoderz Kernel
Baseband: 12.62.60.27U_26.13.04.19_M
IMEI: Intact(its still there)
IMEI SV: 01
*#*#4636#*#* : WCDMA Preferred
Region: USA
Try a different rom.
Go to Cyanogen7 then a GB Sense rom.
If its still the same, then it's a hardware issue.

That's what I'm trying to find out man. Switch roms, if the issue is still there in a gingerbread rom, then it is definitely a hardware issue.

this is completely normal and changing the roms will not help you. the reason is that tmobile and att use different frequencies for their 3g networks tmobile uses 1700/2100MHz and att uses 850/1900MH. So youre probably wondering "well then why can't I get 4G connectivity with my htc glacier on the att network?"
well the reason is that when upgrading their networks to HSPA+, both carriers tmobile and att retained these spectrums 1700/2100MHz and 850/1900MHz respectively for the deployment of their 4G. so you will never be able to get better than edge speeds with the htc glacier on the att network. this is the difference between AWS spectrum and the LTE spectrum.
you’ll be able to make calls send texts, and surf the web (since the 2G frequencies are all the same for each carrier)
but you won’t get 3G no matter how hard you try. The device simply can’t see the necessary frequencies.
t-mobile announced that they are now test running att's frequencies on their network, so certain att phones are able to get 3g connectivity on the tmobile network but not the other way around.
if you want a great price on pay as you go service for the mytouch 4g that isn't t-mobile check out www.simplemobile.com they offer cheap pay-go plans that work on tmobiles networks, i have a sim from them for one of my glaciers, 40 bucks a month unlimited talk text web. however after the first 1GB of data they will throttle you down speedwise. you can pay for additional if you want to.
bottom line is, dont expect to get anything other than edge speeds with that device on att's networks. not gonna happen.
Hey guys,
so I'm looking currently for a replacement of my Lenovo Vibe Z which really annoys me because of the buggy ROM and the data connectivity. Since the Xperia Z3 Dual, and the LG G3 are to expensive I'm eyeballing the S5 Duos, but I need some explanation to the data connectivity.
Can both SIMs use LTE/3G by just selecting which SIM should use data? That is really annoying with the Vibe Z, because only SIM1 can actually use 3G, while SIM2 is restricted to EDGE (2G), so you would need to switch out the SIMs physically. Any clarification on that would be greatly appreciated!
wrong section q's go in Q&A
Ok thx.
But common guys - there must be some SGS5 Duos users who can give a quick answer.

Thank you very much. Well in this case the SGS5 Duos died for me. I need to have the possibility to just switch it in the software.

Wrong answer. Either sim can be selected to have data. Obviously not at the same time. I do it quite often and possible through software only. No need to swap sims

Well yes - this is the obvious functionality. But are you suggesting, that either SIMs can use LTE? or is it as @ jagardeen described it?
Either sim can use LTE though one at a time and you can switch this in "more network" settings.
Well if that is the case, this would be AWESOME. Ordering right now!
