My Galaxy On5 is unable to connect to the MetroPCS 4G LTE network. My bars are up but it's sort of only teasing me by only showing the bars being full, but not saying 4G LTE above it, but it does show that I'm connected to Metro on the top left. My phone was at 4%, I put it into ultra power saving mode so it wouldn't die while I grabbed my charger to connect it to my laptop. I believe I connected it to my laptop while it was setting up ultra power saving mode. But when I did, my phone died and showed that I had 0%, so it died. My phone charged to 15% before I turned it on, I've had my phone die while it was on ultra power saving mode before that, but when I turned it on, this was what happened. I tried searching for another network through the settings, powered it on and off multiple times. I don't want to factory reset it because it's not a brick and I can use WiFi, but don't want to as it will drain my battery faster, and I have some wedding pictures on it so I don't want to do that of course. So any help or advice will be GREATLY appreciated.
Update, I did just do a full battery pull seems to have done nothing so far.

Hey Guys,
Got my brand new GS5 on Tuesday this week but I've run into a pretty major data connection issue and I'm unable to identify a root cause for it.
Essentially, when I leave my phone on overnight (and plugged in) I wake up with no data connection. The wifi is disconnected, and even though my phone shows it is picking up the network, I can't load any sites or do anything using LTE - so both wifi and my LTE data connection are not working. Additionally, the wifi isn't only disconnected, the wifi function is literally turned off. When I try to toggle wifi back on, the toggle goes a light shade of green, like it's stuck trying to turn back on, and never turns on.
Eventually I have to restart my phone and it works just fine again. This has happened on 2 of 3 mornings since I've purchased the phone and only seems to happen after extended down time for the phone as it's never occured during the day. I'm thinking of exchanging the phone (this would be my 3rd GS5 as the first one didn't recognize any headphones.)
Any ideas? Anyone else seen this?
Thanks!
Mine does this when I do a fast reboot. A normal reboot works fine, however.
I would hazard a guess it is a software, and not a hardware problem.
My device fails to remain switched on. After some while it switches off. Sometimes it seems something like turning on wifi toggles it but not sure. I have tried both soft and hard factory reset but still there was no use. It heats up a lot due to continuos loop of on/off. But when I switch it on, it is not completely switched on and somewhat stops in the middle of the process. It turns on only when I connect to a charger but within half an hour It heats up a lot. The battery is not drained when I switch it on. Also when once switched off it does not switch on on its own. So, i feel its not a hardware issue. Can you guide me regarding the problem with my device-LG Google Nexus 4.
My device when on stand by mode works fine but as soon as i start working on it it switches off. Like as soon as i turn my wifi on on handset it switches off. When I try to switch it on it is stuck in the middle of the process and i am unable to switch it on. Later when I connect it through a charger It does get turned on but heats up very quickly in half an hour, I have tried both soft and hard factory reset. When the phone switches on the battery level is same as that before it was switched off. I feel it is not just simply power key issue or power drain issue.
A few days ago while charging my Moto X Pure, it suddenly turned off. I was not using the device, it was just lying on a table charging. When I go to turn the phone back on, it goes to the battery icon percentage screen and turns off again. I have no idea what happened. I tried to enter recovery mode and do a factory reset but it wont go into recovery mode either. It's the most bizarre thing that has happened and I have no idea what is wrong. The phone seems to work because it indicates that it is charging but it doesn't do anything else past that. PLEASE HELP.
Also, the phone doesn't turn on (and by turn on I mean go back to the battery screen) unless it is plugged in. That made me think it was a battery issue, but I don't understand if it was a battery issue, why it would restrict the phone booting regularly while it was plugged in.

Try charging it with laptop / desktop for a while 30 /40 mins.
Then try to boot into bootloader.
If you are successful then disconnect the USB and connect your turbo charger and start the phone.
just out of the blue yesterday, my phone quit working properly. it will not charge, well, sort of. when i plug it in, it starts to charge, and the battery symbol shows up, then turns off. and repeats that over and over. it doesnt get to the percent charged battery screen. just the very first one. i have powered it on a few times, but, no matter how charged it says it is, be it 2 or 20%, it shuts down after about a minute. it will not show the charging symbol no matter what type of charge i have it on. ive checked the battery with another s5, and it charges fine. ive hooked it up to my laptop, but get nothing different. i was able to start it in safe mode, but after about a minute, it shuts off. i got it into recovery mode as well, and wiped the cache partition, but dont want to lose everything on it, of course, so im not sure what to try next.
i appreciate any help i can get. thanks.

This may well not be right but I was just wondering if it could be a faulty power switch?
Hey all,
Recently got an S7 Edge that was working fine, until it crashed suddenly at about 10% battery on the camera app, the screen went black, and the phone is now completely unresponsive, even after charging for a while. While charging there was also no response, no light or vibration. I used the Samsung Fast Charger. Please advise on what I can do, any help is appreciated. I am now leaving it for a while and will try to charge it later.
Thanks
Salman
Did you ever get this issue fixed?
I had this once
I pressed either power + home + Up or down. Can't remember which worked but worked but think was in recovery I got to and rebooted
Sent from Samsung S7 Edge [Oreo]

Mobile came back to life last night. One of the post suggested that the phone may switch on once the battery is completely drained. So I waited till last night and plugged it in and it started charging.
It was fine till 10 AM. I inserted the SIM cards and then connected to the laptop. I thought I would backup the data using smart switch before doing a factory reset. The backup went fine till 75% and then boom again turned off. This time there's a lot of battery left, and I might have to wait 4-5 days before it can be drained completely. But I'm now hopeful that it'll eventually turn on and when it does I'll immediately do a factory reset before doing anything else. I'm suspecting that a rogue app might be causing it. This time it might have happened while that app is being backed up. The LED is constant Red this time indicating the state it was connected to the laptop at the time of incident.
Is there anyway to drain battery quickly at this stage?
It turned on again last night when I connected the charger. It was showing the charging symbol. After 5-6 minutes of charge I tried to hold Vol - + Power buttons briefly to reset the device and it went off again. It's lying like a brick currently.
