News no longer works

Hi
My standard news app which shows my rss newsfeed, has not updated since Monday 13th Dec.
I forced stopped the app and cleared the cache. Now there's just a blank screen.
Any idea how to fix this?

I might have missed something in that thread but a reset is hardly a fix!

Download Google Reader, this will fix the issue. I have a small how to in a thread of mine. Search it up.

Hey all i was trying to update the youtube app on Erick ewjet roms and i though maybe that flashing the google apps would do the trick but it obviously didn't infact it made me loose all my gapps like market gmail and all that so can someone provide me the link for gapps for 2.1 roms thanks in advance.

Universal fix to everything is to reflash. Sucks to lose a lot of data but good thing we got titanium backup.

Its just because right now i have a good battery life and im afraid it get worse its like just what i needed its perfect lol and it doesn't solve my problem whit old ugly youtube app so if i reflash google apps it would auto update and won't have to reflash :/

Do you have a recent nandroid backup?
Perform an Advanced Restore for system only!

Yeah i do but had to reflash anyway my phone went into bootloop while i was calibrating again my. Phone lol but how may i fix youtube app? I need to get it updated...

If you want the newest YouTube app you have to be on 2.2+. I think there is a apk floating around but the last time I tried it I was getting FC issues when logging in. Maybe try searching the general section of Android games and apps to see if it has been fixed.

Sure will give it a try but i think it doesn't have anything to do with 2.2 since stock rom has the updated version of the apk

@Shahkam - what version of youtube are you using? Is it v2.1.6 or v1.6.20? If you are on v2.1.6 are you having FC issues on 2.1 when signing in?

I don't have a clue how may i check what version i have? And nope i dont have any fc issues i got it from 4shared.com if it can help in anyway

Help, my accelerometer has stopped working!

Just totally randomly my accelerometer has stopped working... I used a testing app and for sure it shows no data ..
Any way to fix this ?

Sounds like you might have to send it back to Samsung. Hope you didn't root.

have you tried just rebooting? or flashing a different rom/kernel?

im not sure if this is completely relevant. but I found a bug if you use Google Chrome with android. It locks your rotation until a reboot. Nexus S 4.0.3

happened to me once right after upgrade to ICS.
Both the accelerometer and the compass failed.
No problem after a reboot ..

My auto brightness and auto rotate sometimes crap out ever since Chrome.

Facebook is p*****g me off

I am tired of Facebook not working properly, I have gotten used to the fact that I am not getting all of my friends updates(can't seem to figure out why, I have looked everywhere) but now I am not even getting any notifications of the few friends updates I do normally get. I have tried clearing the cache of the main app and nothing, I have also re-install the app and nothing. Is it the app or the tab? Am I missing any settings? Really getting annoyed, I have also tried different Facebook apps and they too do not show all updates. Anyone care to shed a light on any of these issues.? Thanks.

I am also running it but sane issue not getting all my friends updates. And notifications seem to be delayed.

Help

I have the N9005 . Stock.no root. I downloaded a call block app. After testing it and not happy I noticed that the numbers I blocked even after I disabled the app and u installed are forever blocked. Can someone help.the screen shot of the app is attached..is there something I need to do besides factory reset.

Reinstall it, go to Application manager, clear cache and data, force stop, then disable and uninstall. should fix it

I tried. .no luck.still calls get blocked ...is there a way I can find where data is stored..or do I need to do more

Try to clean the system cache by using Clean master App.

May be you can check the Samsung Auto Reject Settings?
Go to Settings--> Device--> Call--> Auto Rejection to check if you have added any numbers.
I just tried installing the app you have shown but did not have the issue you have mentioned.

Thank you guys..I found what the issue was.i had installed another call block app.and u installed. .but it seems it still retained the data.so I reinstalled it and what do u know..It still had the numbers saved under block. So I deleted the numbers ..and now I get my calls..Thanks a lot everyone. ..I was panicking. ..almost did a reset.
