Then you flashed the wrong TWRP and even if you did it was perfectly recoverable without resorting to replacing the device.

you are right. i had flashed wrong twrp. but as u said it will be recoverable. that does not happen in my case. my tab was stuck at samsung logo and keep on rebooting. not entering recovery mode or download mode so that i can flash stock firmware.... not even detected in adb. thats why i had no other option to replace it.... i go through the link you mentioned but frankly speaking. now i dont want to flash twrp anymore. i will wait till cf autoroot for this device become available. anyway thanks for your reply

I guarantee it WAS recoverable regardless of whether it was boot looping or not.
All you had to do was hold POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN for a short while, whilst it was boot looping and it would have entered download mode.
I'm also not sure why you seem to have a preference of flashing CFautoroot over TWRP they are both custom recoveries?

no buddy it wasn't.... i tried for atleast 50 times holding power key, volume down and home key to enter download mode... but it wasn't.... it just keep rebooting... i waited whole night so that its battery would drain and then i try to boot. but failed.... even at service centre they were not able to enter download mode.... i prefer cf autoroot because i used that on my c9 pro... its quite simple and safe

I've never known a flash of twrp right or wrong to permanently brick a device and I've accidentally and purposely bricked many a device countless times.
It's pretty much almost impossible to brick a Samsung device simply by flashing the wrong boot or recovery image.
Yours is an unlikely one off.
As for cf_autoroot, no safer to flash than twrp. They are both using modified recoveries.

Now the phone can boot up but stuck at ATT logo Screen. Any body can help me?
PS. I try KIES emergency recovery and it keep telling me there is a error of updating.
I bricked my s4 (i337 Canadian, bell) the day I bought it, TWRP 2.6.0.0 was what bricked my phone (I think, or improper use of TWRP) and it wouldn't boot whatsoever (even my recovery was bricked), I managed to fix it by flashing stock firmware from ODIN 1.85 on PC to the phone (couldn't access recovery, so I flashed from PC) , make sure you download a stock firmware that is .tar to use with the PC version of ODIN, the second thing I had to do was flash CF Auto Root again using ODIN 1.85 from PC to phone, since I still couldn't boot my phone or recovery (other root flashing methods wouldn't unbrick my phone, but CF Auto Root did, download the MF3 version of CF auto root).
after all this crap I installed TWRP 2.5.0.0 as my recovery and haven't had any issues since :victory:
this was done on a I337MVLUAMG1 which I believe is the bell equivalent of the MF3 (update that blocked rooting by most methods like motochopper ect)
Thanks

Dont thinknthere is antthing you can do. We have no return to stock method at this point in time. This is why it is important to follow forum rules and read and search before doing something youll regret, im nkt saying this to be mean...but there has been at least 5 people these past few days who have done the exact same thing as you and have gone in here looking for help...
My best advice, throw in some money for the bootloader unlock bounty and hope somethung happens soomer than later

If you read through the threads it specifically stated that the MF3 boot loader is locked and you cannot install twrp or custom ROMS on it. I have seen so many posts regarding this it makes me sick. It's kies seeing the device? But is falling to recover? Or is it not seeing it?

Hi,
I have the SM-N900W8 (Canadian Note 3) variant of the phone, and I tried to root it using Zedomax's video as well as chainfire's. Chainfire's worked as in I got root access (verified with root checker). However, I can't access the recovery menu ie when I hold vol up pwr and home button I only get access to the default recovery. What's up with that? Am I missing something? Do I need to update/install busybox? I really want to install that sound boost mod.
Would really appreciate any help . Thanks
rooting your device only roots it.. if you want a custom recovery, then get the tar file from the thread and odin it..

Yea that's what I did. I flashed with ODIN to get root (how else would you root the phone anyway?).
Anyway, I figured it out. I pulled out the battery as soon as the ODIN flash passed and phone was rebooting ( took it out right at the Galaxy Note 3 bootup logo). CWM works fine now.
Thanks anyway.
Hello,
First of all, I'm pretty new to all of these, even new to smartphone itself, so please pardon any of my misunderstanding.
Recently I've rooted my G530h, baseband number: G530HXCU1AOA2 using Kingo ROOT. The root went well I assumed since I can use SuperU and access root-only apps.
Then I proceeded to install a custom recovery for my phone, first I tried using TWRP (v2.8.7.0), flashing with Odin through download mode. After it was done, Odin showed that it was success, my phone restarted and went into a normal boot. I then turned off my phone and try to get into recovery mode (Vol Up, Home and Power), but instead my phone went into Download mode but this time straight into the Downloading scene without going through the warning one. I couldn't turn off my phone, I had to hold down Vol Down, Home and Power, the phone went into the warning scene for Download mode again, only by pressing cancel would I be able to boot normally again.
The same thing happened when I tried installing CWM.
Please help, if there is something I'm doing wrong... I can't get into the recovery mode which I tend to use for installing a custom ROM. I've also tried flashing my original stock, the stock recovery came back and worked fine, but the custom ones still have the same problem.
Thank you for your time.
Same proble for me
HI XDA members,
same problem for me, I have GGP G530H Version G530HSER1BPB1, I have try with odin and I get the pass message without any error, but when I try to bood into recovery mode I have found the same recovery mode (original by samsung ) I don't know what is the problem, I have try all the recovery found in the net, also on the russian forum (PDA) !
please any one cand give a solution, I hate the samsung firmware and I want change to CM12 or CM13 version.
Thanks

Did you flashed twrp on Ur device?
for install cfautoroot you must install twrp.tar on your PC (download from here https://dl.twrp.me/klte/twrp-3.0.2-2-klte.img.tar). then you must flash it via odin.
to flash it make sure you installed your device drivers on PC and enabled USB debugging in developer options.
then boot your phone in downloading mode by pressing power+home+volume down button. then connect your phone to the PC. open odin app and choose the recovery.tar you install from the link i gave you. flash it and wait until finish(maybe 2 or 3 min) and then reboot your device to recovery by pressing power+home+volume up button. flash your cfautoroot and enjoy [emoji5] .

I get the same exact thing on a sm-g900t3 (Galaxy S5 - tmobile, north America) Oddly enough I can get https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html installed no problem, but whenever I try to install root, either the supersu.zip via twrp or chainfire's autoroot directly from his site, it just bootloops into recovery.

I actually got it working, by installing a different version of supersu. The one I had was an update-supersu. I then found the full version and it worked. It did reboot itself a couple of times. The cf autoroot did not work for me at all. I opened it up in 7-zip and only saw cache and recovery, nothing related to supersu. I would like to tell anyone that the roms from sammobile did work, but I had to try a couple of them before i found the one which would flash properly.
If you extract the boot.IMG (or recovery.IMG I don't remember but not cach.ext4) and flash it via TWRP it does the trick. That's what worked for me.
Today i tried to root my galaxy s8 (SM-G950F) and it ended up getting bricked.
I did a emergency recovery through the smart swtich program.
I tried the cf autoroot and i downloaded it directly from their website but the problem is that it used an old verison of odin and not the newest one?
Does anyone have a working one?

I highly reccomending flashing magisk for root.
Use odin v3.12.3
What issue did you have flashing cf autoroot?

When i flashed it it took like 2 seconds which is very unusual and it restarted and it just gets stuck on the boot screen where it says samsung. I did it twice now.
It took me hours to find a solution to flash a new software onto it because it would say something with pit.
All i did was i entered into to download mode and on the odin i put in all the files.
The same time i pressed start on my pc i holded (Bixby + volume down + power buttom) down and you have to be fast and then i will probably fail and then you try again and then it begins to flash the original software.
I am trying magisk root right now.
EDIT:
I have now succesfully installed twrp recovery and the magisk root.
