Hi all,
because of some issues i changed my Stock to CM10.2. But i figured out that i liked some of the Stock ROm apps.
Is there already a app pack available with the Stock apps, or a how to install them propper?
Of cours i can put out the apps from the Stock nandroid backup. But i tried to install the LG Cam app which did not work for me.
What i am looking for is:
Cam App
Mail client
some of the LG own network apps (Wireless drive or what it was called...)
Thanks for ideas and tips.
Hey Guys, im running my LG G2 in cm12.1 nightly. I loved the remote apk on stock and would like to use it in Android 5.1.1 too.
I tried one option but there arent any manufacturers in the list.
Does anyone know a good solution ?
Sincerely Neosalami

i think you need another file from lg. cause i deleted some files and not the remote and they came out empty , then redownload the rom this time didnt remove a thing and all the manufacturers appeared so it must be a file that has the manufacturers list.. wich one idk?
Try let your phone learn signal from ur real remote, if it work u dont have to flash other rom.
I pretty much liked the LG remote app. Its sad that there is no way to bring it to cm 12.1

Recently updated my old Nexus 10/Manta to OmniROM 6.0.1 and I couldn't be happier. I had a fair bit of messing around on the first try until I got the sequence right...full wipe, flash ROM, flash Gapps pico and everything works REALLY well.
However, installing nightly updates is the same for me as the initial flash...I have to do a full wipe or I get the Google Services loop.
Am i doing something wrong is that how nightlies work currently?
Thanks.
Omnirom 5.1.1 on Nexus7, i can't use any of custom kernel. The installation work fine but after reboot the kernel is not install.

Hi,
i'm rather new with rooting, flashing and all the stuff that comes with it.
Now i have an Oppo Find7 and i managed to install the following:
-TWRP recovery
-OmniRom 5.1 nightly
-Gapps 5.1
I'm pleased everything worked but now i saw OmniRom 6.0, when i tried to flash it with gapps i encountered the first problem:
-The install of OmniRom went well but when i try to install Gapps 6.0 stock, it is saying i dont have enough storage? Can i somehow increase or free up this storage to it can fit?
Second question: If the above is possible, is there a way to flash OmniRom 6.0 and Gapps 6.0 without the loss of data? or do i still have to backup and restore with titanium backup?
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
I have a Nexus 7 2013 wifi. Latest omni marshmallow but I have one issue. Battery drain.
It seems as it does not suspend. Maybe someone could point me in the right direction to help squash this pesky bug.
What I can add is that I have a Nexus 5 with same apps and settings without the issue .
Thank you

I just upgraded from ZTE Maven running Android 5.1, to a Galaxy Express 3 running Android 6.0.1. love the phone, but for one thing. I playing a game called Walking War Robots. It played good on the 5.0, but really lags bad on the 6.0.1.. I thought the better phone would be better but it's worse. I've also noticed that the graphics are better for the 6.0.1, including shadows for robots, etc. I believe it adds to the problem. What I'd like to know, is there a way to improve the performance of my phone to get rid of the lag, or is there a way to disable enhanced graphics and make the game think I'm running 5.0 to get rid of the shadows and enhanced graphics. I can do without robot shadows for the sake of smooth gameplay. Any help will be greatly appreciated... YodaXIII
password reset?
I decided to try the official Nougat for my 6P. Before going there, I made a TWRP backup, which I used "adb pull" to get to my computer. After trying Nougat and deciding I didn't like it, I went back to Omnirom from the TWRP backup. At boot it asks for the decryption password, which works fine, and omnirom starts up correctly. It then prompts me for password after restart, and it insists that I enter the wrong one. What options do I have to get past this, other than a clean install and then recover my apps/data from backups?
[edit: solved it] I entered the file manager of TWRP and removed /data/system/locksettings* After this, the next reboot required decryption password, as expected, but did not require a lockscreen password, so all was fine and I could again set a new lockscreen protection.
I have a micromax unite 4 pro (Q465) but on google there is no recovery img for any recovery I request u to help me how can I install a custom recovery to flash a zip filee please help me

How can i upgrade HTC DESIRE 820
Hi,
i have htc desire 820s ,i want to upgrade my mobile 4.4.4 to 5.1 or other update version ,
any one guide me about that ,i have already my device rooted ,so please tell me how can i do
thanks
Yo guys, so it's been a long time since i've been on the rooting scene and i guess im back but i realised there's no android sdk as it's Android Studio. is it exactly the same in terms of giving me the fastboot and ADB files?
Also, back to the main topic of this.
I have an LG G2 D802 which is running 4.4.2 Kitkat and on software version D80220c-AME-XX
Links to any root guides would be useful, for now i'm trying this guide and i'll let you know how it goes.
As for the ROM, i know there's no 'best' ROM but i want one that's on the latest Android OS (I guess the latest stable for this phone would be LP) and is Stable. I really just want to flash a custom ROM once and keep using that without having to keep updating it.
Hoping for some quick replies.
Cheers!

Hmm, im reluctant to update to Lollipop as i need the LG software installed on the laptop and etc.
I found this thread for IO Root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232&postcount=869 (Latest one i found so far)
I'll give this a try first because for my variant it says "ALL"
Also, in terms of stability, how is CloudyG2?

It's not recommended to install stock gapps cause they are overwriting some apps like camera etc. from LineageOS and causing problems as you see.
Better to clean install lineageos again with mini/pico gapps.
As for the stock camera you can use that one, it's working very well on LineageOS based custom roms https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/themes/stock-motorola-camera-t3596659
The moto camera from play store won't work and other versions don't work too.

One recommendation when installing a custom ROM is to use Micro GApps instead of Stock GApps.
