Keep these is mind before you flash
When you post a bug or mention an issue, it is assumed that you are running no additional mods that could cause that bug/issue. If you have made any additional changes, you need to mention that when you mention the bug/issue, else it confuses all users and I waste time looking to a bug that doesn't even exist.
If you get encryption error, you need to FORMAT your partitions before you flash the rom. Needless to say, you will lose all your data in the internal storage when you format. Don't forget to backup important data before format.
Its better to have the latest firmware installed for better compatibility.
Installation procedure
From stock / other custom roms
Copy the ROM zip on your phone
Reboot in TWRP Recovery mode
Backup your phone!
Format/Wipe system, cache, dalvik, data
Flash/Install ROM
Flash Gapps (OpenGapps Unofficial 8.1 Pico/Nano is recommended)

Upgrade from previous build
Download the update via OTA app.

You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

V30 is recommended . Its quite stable . You can also use V31 .

Bugs I've encountered till now-
#Unlocking the screen immediately after locking it causes it to black out. You'd have to lock it again and unlock it after a few seconds.
#some apps freeze on startup. I think it'd be more accurate to say that they don't even start up. I had to reboot my phone to launch the play store, Instagram.
#screen stops responding randomly, although it happens seldom.
Other than these, it's a sick rom. Awesome animations.
Achieved 58 mins SOT with just 8% battery.

I am having a look at that...seems to be a prob for some users

Trying the 8/5 test build for a few hours, I observed the followings:
It seems that almost everything works properly.
The rom is smooth, rather fast and stable.
ZeurionX kernel works fine on this rom.
Xposed also works on this rom without any problem.
Overall, awesome rom!

Yes, it is fixed. Only flashing a xiaomi.eu recent before caf aosp. After sensors working fine.

i need help ! facing a problem the rom boots up but i cant accesss settings and there is no app drawer to access the apps also and it says the process system is'nt responding and closes .....plus twrp got uninstalled ,now i have no twrp also to rest the phone neither i can install twrp

** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Fingerprint scanner does not work after clean flash. I tried firmware 42 and 44.
CrDroid is amazing rom. I use it since version 3.8. but now i will wait for later build, i use fingerprint unlock alot.

Which type of FP you have ?
It will better if u mention your FP type.

Same here. Finger print is not working. It does simply nothing.
After Reboot my clock is on the left side instead of the right.
But: The Rom is butter smooth and works for a beta pretty nice!

GPS icon don't disappear on status bar even when It off

Also have fingerprint scanner bug.
It was working fine after flash, but fingerprints are lost every boot.
After one day it stop working at all - cant add fingerprint, it not even buzz for error, software shows no problems (just like user not put finger on reader).
I'm also missing 0.1x time for animations, 0.5x is sooo slooow, and I don't like to disable them.

Thank you for such an amazing rom . Tried many but finally struck at it . The only thing I am missing is that I can not customize navigation button as I always use long press back button to force close app .

I don't know they are types of fingerprints. I use just normal fingerprint on back of the phone. After reboot are saved fingerprints lost and after a day or so appeared a bug and i cannot add any fingerprints. It's on stock kernel and on custom too, i tryed it.
And GPS icon don't disapered after switching it off.
For Beta relase it's smooth and stable.

This device is manufactured with 2 different fingerprint sensors Goodix or FPC (Ihave no idea why). You need different drivers for them, since the hardware itself is different and while both drivers are included, one of them can be buggy.
You can easily identify yours with an app like devcheck system info.

Automatic backlight is going crazy. I slide to the left and switch the display off. After pressing the Button again the slider is in the middle again or more right.:silly:

Try to flash this in recovery. In my case it helped!
Zip is from Gabriel Kernel Telegram Channel. But used it on differrent Roms if needed.

Substratum support lost now I need to root.

Root is warking this rom because I root this rom my mobile. problem is widget is not working and live wallpaper not working this rom now i hop next update solved this bug

Why the substratum support is gone?

The things I found so far are:
- that the google apps widgets are not loading properly. The blank widget window appears with the text: problem loading widget;
- echo heard in call by the people I talk to. This goes probably hand in hand with unadjustable sound volume while in call.
- Trust System Security - This build was signed with public keys
- SELinux not active
- I very much like the level of customization, but compared to LOS which is mentioned as one of the sources, in RR the keyboard dictionary is missing for Romanian which I use

Installing this new rom.

so I'm using this Rom for 8 days. clean install (only internal data not erased).
my review so far:
it isn't the fastest and smoothest rom I've ever used, but I has a satisfying performance so far and it's definitely faster and smoother then syberia!!!
+no major problems at all (no crackling as with syberia, wifi stable)
+performance quite good
+no overheating (even while restore and charging) max. 39°C, can't tell you bout heavy gaming though
+battery last for about 24h a charge, 0,7% per h while display off, deep sleep about 95%, had to turn off a couple off background permissions though
- issues I found:
- no automatic connection with paired BT devices (needs an extra tap)
-settings/design: only minimal settings possibilities, aospxposed and syberia have very nice extra colors and extra substratum conflict settings; system wide dark theme works, but notifications are still black on white background (fix please), substratum turns notifications in orange background
-alarm clock rings but doesn't turn on screen (edit)
-had 2 strange reboots the first day, sometimes strange freezes while starting apps
all in all I am very happy about RR pie!!! syberia has a great power management ( up to 33h per charge) but is slower in performance.

I'm using this exelent Rom.. untill now all is good! But i have a problem.. i can't use HBO GO app because according this app my phone is rooted... But i don't have my phone rooted... So what can i do? It's happening me the same when i was using Pixel Experience...

I installed magisk and use magisk hide unsupported root apps. You must hide app and hide magisk manager.

I'm using this ROM for about 10 days now and I am really happy with the perfomance. everything runs stable and smooth here.
Before I was on the Syberia project but unfortunately during the last updates that ROM has not become better.
There is only 1 negative point to mention for me - since the change to RR, I can not connect to my Fitbit watch anymore. Synchronisation does not work at all . There is a connection and I can see the watch in the Android app but it fails to synchronize and I am not able to use the settings of the different installed apps on the watch.
This means I can also not get msg from WhatsApp or email client on my watch. I have already reset the watch, reinstalled apps, and other things but it won't work.
This was working really well before with the Syberia ROM and it works also fine on my OPO device with the latest Tuga Power Pie ROM.
There is something different with the bluetooth in the RR ROM, but I don't know what or how to get the synchronization to work again.
Really appreciate, if someone would know any solution for my problem here.
Other then that, thanks for your help and thanks for the developer for this awsome ROM.

Yes it does work. You can either download the stable version or a weekly one and just flash it with TWRP.
Usually, I flash the modem update before I flash an update of the ROM. It means, in the TWRP I set the sequence like
1. modem zip
2. ROM zip
3. GAPPS zip
4. Magisk
Flash all the zip in one shot and after delete Dalvic and Cache and let the ROM boot.
Usually, this is working always fine for the updates ( dirty flash with only wipe dalvic, cache and system before)

I was already using your ROM with Android Nougat. It was really working well and I'm happy to see the RR on Pie as well.
My question is about taking screenshots - in the Nougat version, after I took a screenshot, it was going right away into editing option. When I take a screenshot now in the Pie version, I have to choose manually to edit the screenshot and mostly it is not really working.
Would it be possible to get it same again like in the Nougat version?
Or could you tell me, what programm you used at that time to edit the screenshot, so i can try to install myself.
