Unfortunately, I have the same problem. APN deleted/added.
I think it's that same problem like in Nougat. After all, someone fixed it. MMS are a bit deprecated, and aren't priority to fix.
Any chances to fix MMS in Oreo for Land? How it is in another Oreo ROMs for other devices?
Hi
Still no rom or fix or workaround to enable MMS on Oreo ?
I can't believe that such a basic stuff like that remains unavailable
It's the only thing that keeps me sticking on Nougat.
I'm sorry but can i ask why you guys want the mms service to work? Bcoz honestly i don't know any who uses mms now a days..
Still many peoples send me mms here. Not everybody wants join messengers/social media and email is not so convenient as instant mms. Some dev could at least say if it is totally abandoned in oreo or there is a chance...

I hop the developers find a workaround or a fix for this issue
Yes, same issue, some users send me MMS, even if i keep saying i prefer email or whatsapp.
That said, i think this is a really basic functionnality that should be usable on every phone.
If some users are able to send or receive MMS on Oreo, it would be valuable to talk about it here

You're kidding. In my country everyone uses mms and unfortunately in no custom Oreo it does not work on this phone. It is a pity that the developers have it in the ass. Mms is very useful.

Hey kemoti, can i ask which country you are from? Just out of curiosity.
Please, does anyone managed to send or receive a MMS using an oreo rom?
Could some oreo users test it and give us feedback here with the result and used rom?
Thanks!

I'm only speculating that all developers copy this bug from the begining source and noone cares about it In other devices it's already fixed. Hope if Lineage Oreo aply for official it won't be accepted without fixing this functionality. Or maybe Android P will be clean (if it will be for land...).
I have a second Moto G6 phone that has factory installed clean Oreo 8.0 without any overlays from the manufacturer and there MMS works perfectly and you do not even need to turn on mobile data. I'm really surprised that it's so difficult for unofficial developers.

Have you tried to copy the mms related files to an r3s rom?

Copying MMS applications does not give anything because the Moto G6 dialer and messages are normally from Google, the problem is probably deeper in unofficial roms for our Redmi 3S.
Have you tried manually mms apn in settings ?
which sim are you using ?

Is there a step by step process that I could use to correct the mms issues?
The apn i backed up from the plain jane rom worked for me on verizon. Although it does not fix it on Cyanogen or kaos asop roms, not sure why.

Or you could just use the APN i included in the previous post. Saves from flashing over twice.
Here's my APN backup from my Cyanogen-based ROM. MMS works for me, sending and receiving. May be the same as the one posted above...

Backup your APNs first and then try the one he posted. Can't hurt to try. I'm not sure if it'll work or not.

Thanks for the information. I tried with stock and handsent but did not work for me on Froyo 20.
The attachment I posted and the attachment from Sheen160 are very similar. The one from "Ivan's" ROM uses 'null' for values in most fields whereas the other one just uses "". I suspect they mean the same...
One big difference (maybe) is the "MMS Protocol" value. Mine reads "null" while Ivan's reads "2.0".
just wanted to let everyone know that the on from Ivans worked,The apn i had installed would send my mms as a private user to the people i sent it to for some reason.anyways thank you people!!!
Anybody got any idea on this?

Thanks so much. I ended up using this... http://www.4gtricks.com/2013/03/verizon-4g-apn-settings.html
Apparently the ROM had APN settings setup but they were not filled out? Sorry I had never used them before!
Here is the official OTA ZIP package for the LYZ28E OTA release which enables T-Mobile WiFi calling. Works great. Flash in stock recovery. Must adb sideload. Must be bone stock!
https://android.googleapis.com/pack...Z28E-from-LMY47M-fullradio-fix-superblock.zip
The wifi calling works well, fyi you have to turn it on, it's not on by default. Open up phone and hit many and settings. Go to call and turn on wifi calling
Yes, it works very well!!!!
Lock screen
problem is the MMS or sms duplicates or it takes for ever to send while enabled unfortunately and eats battery not like with custom kernel but i could be wrong sorry

There are allready sufficient threads like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/ref-nexus-6-stock-ota-urls-t2906493 about this topic so why create another one?
BTW you have to be on 47M to be able to install it.

I happened to have found this on top of the page, that link got buried in the middle of the page. already.
yeah I just installed this. had to downgrade, then upgrade, then upgrade again.
Wifi calling works great. and so does SMS and MMS while on the wifi.
No need to create a new thread for something already posted.

Don't use Verizon myself but by all accounts it doesn't matter.
There was a chap in the paranoid Android thread who did indeed use Verizon, says it can be done.
You might want to have a look and message him.
Thanks I'll take a look in that thread.

No worries man..I wish I knew the answer.
If I had to guess, id say you can make calls but data is affected.
So that means a hard coded file needs to be edited.
Find the physical APN file and you have your fix.
Let's see what he says
