unfortunately it is already over 30 days. I found an app Diskdigger and needed the root. But if I do root then it will be done in Factory Reset. as I have read this.

[Q] Deleting Files on internal Memory -R- ????

I have been trying to delete copilot from \system\apps\copilot.apk
It is read only.
I am using the offical 2.2 froyo and have used z4root to root the device and installed android mate as a file manager to try and delete it. Android mate triggers the pop-up telling me it wants root access and i allow it but still cannot delete the dam file.
Its annoying me because the copilot icon is in my applications and extracts and imstalls every time its clicked.
Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this file, preferably without buying applications to do so.
Thankyou
you need to explicitly mount the file system as R/W
no idea if the program
you're using can do that..
you can do it manually in a terminal
su
mount remount,rw /system
or using root file explorer (paid app)
and also IF ROOTED, you can use Titanium Backup and delete the app, and make a backup if you think the app will mess up something.

Yeah they say you learn something new everyday.
A couple of days ago something I installed something (still not sure what) locked my streak in airplane mode, so I restored streak to factory settings & was surprised that it was still rooted after.

that is possible if you have the superboot installed.

Is there any way of deleting factory apps WITHOUT rooting?

I'm wondering if there's any way of deleting some of the factory apps without having my phone rooted? I can't get the root to work so just deleting the apps I don't want would be ok instead.

No not really...You need root unfortunately.
What do you mean you can't get root to work? What's the problem you have encountering?

Actually scratch that. After 24hrs I've finally figured out how to root it. Maybe I should have stuck to my Nokia 1100. These smartphones are all 'Whiteman magic' to me

The only way to get rid of the factory apps is to use RootExplorer and delete the .apk of apps you want remove...but Rootexplorer want root!!
Make root is not complicated and I think that it is very useful and practical to run many apps which want root permission, such as rootexplorer (best file explorer ever!), any backup program annd others useful apps
Moreover, remove factory application which we never use helps to improve battery life, have much memory to run own apps, and a more reactive device
I've read about changing the phone's CSC as a possible solution. Can anyone more experienced comment about that?

[Q] Deleted photos restore themselves every few hours.

So my GS5 has decided that I am not allowed to delete photos off of it in recent months.
I have turned all the syncs off, and tried manually deleting them off the SD card using my computer, nothing seems to work. they are ALWAYS back after a few hours. Phone even gave me warnings that I was out of space for awhile, but now that has stopped.
what can I possibly do to delete these damn useless albums and pictures?
Are you trying to delete Picasa's photos?

S-Note/S-Pen - Unable to save drawing/notes

hi guys.
I have this problem where each time i write/draw on a picture immediately after taking the shot, the picture unable to save my drawing/notes on that picture. instead, it creates a copy of the picture inside the gallery.
if anyone have the apk of the s-pen/s-note module, if u dont mind could u share the apk here?
or is there anyone has been experiencing same problem, how to solve it?
for info, im now on Lolipop 5.0, rooted.
thanks in advance
seriously no single reply from yesterday? :crying::crying::crying:
this may caused by apps with root access, there are about 4 apps as a suffixes for the main s-note app and they are it's features. and maybe one of them are missing or deleted by root apps. i recommend to reflash stock firmware and then install root. be careful when using root and grant access for apps.

oo. i guess so because i deleted some of what they call "suspected bloatwares" after rooting.
so do u think, if i reset factory setting will restore back the s-note features?

no, they wouldn't be restored in factory mode because they are permanently deleted. and in addition you will lose your data.

Recover deleted files? Need to root? if so then which one?

Thanks, I want to recover files from my S6 Edge+ mainly a MP4 video shot from the standard camera app.
Dont want to root but if need be I will. What root to use?
Im a Java developer and have a good understanding of Android. Video was made then it was deleted then several other photos were deleted. I then switched the phone off and have only started it again to try to install PingPong Root. There is all the normal Instagrams and FB apps on my phone that write to disk etc.. Phone was run for several minutes only after deleting files.
How recoverable could these files be?
Willing to buy an app to recover but I really think that without root none of these apps could work so well?
