I have made this thread exclusively for Q and A on Galaxy 3. If you have some doubts, questions or need some help just mention it in this thread. Yes but that file isn't in stock rom package. On samfimware forum nobody answer so I asked here.

how to install cyanogen mod for samsung galaxy 3
i have rooted my phone yesterday. i want to install cyanogen mod. i tried installing by going into recovery mode but failed. can u give me the detailed procedure for installing the cyanogen mod in my samsung galaxy 3 i 5801?

Please see that Cyanogen Mod is currently in Alpha stage and some modules are not working.
If you want to install it any way for testing purpose follow the link below then you download the ZIP File. After download completes extract the zip to obtain a TAR file. Fire up ODIN and Select the OPS as you and Flash as one package with the TAR image. After phone flashes up and boot. Wipe Data and Cache from the Recovery and reboot. You would be able to use CM7 Alpha5 Fix1.
Please See- You cant install CM7 without flashing and also see that you have a backup of your whole phone. Use titanium backup from market.

I think it is not available on Samfirmware. I think we have to obtain from ROM Image of XXJPS.
I will help you out after searching.

I have one more problem with G3. It's vibration is very soft/gentle.
My old Samsung SGH-E900 had vibration like PlayStation's controller (very strong).
I know that using more battery but I want more power in vibration. Is it possible?
Vibration pattern doesn't help me.

You can t until you disable data2sd. And how do your widgets disappear?? The app or the widget will be in SD-ext partition. Which is not detected by windows.

i think is a launcher problem i will try something right now..i `ll tell you if it`s works
edit: problem solved i was on go launcher ex and i put him to internal right now..(ext)

camera issue in cyanogen mod
i have installed cyanogen mod alpha 5 fix1 in my samsung galaxy 3 i5801 but there is a camera issue. when i open the camera app a white screen appears instead of the video and also the video player showing black screen.can anyone fix this?

Well Cyanogen Mod is still in alpha stage as the title suggests. And the camera driver is still not functional. It will be fuctional in the final build.

Good ROM, except some kernel issues in latest nightlies.

so what's the difference between this Rom and say CM 11 or PA?
is it features only or it's based on a different source?

is not ported, its based on AOSP and also has futures like multiwindow, app swich etc.

Great ROM, been using since it first came out and using every update as available!
I wasn't one of the lucky ones where the new nightlies work, is there any update on what's causing the issues and when this will be sorted?

Does Camera Work okay?
Hi, does the front facing camera recording work. Also is the camera slow to take pictures?

Easily one of the best custom ROM for our old S2. Really love the multi-windows feature.

i have an issues
when i try to install the recovery 6.0.4.5 i got "installation aborted" message at the end
mine is 6.0.2.7 and it won't install the rom unless i update it to 6.0.4.5
i tried other links for the 6.0.4.5 it did install in the recovery mood bt when i rebort the system my phone will lag in the samsung logo
and when i try to go to recovery mood it didn't go it just stuck in the logo
so i went back to odin to install 6.0.2.7 again and the phone worked
i also found a "tar" version for 6.0.4.5 to install it in odin
bt when i did i got a root message and stuff i didn't understand so i shut it down and went back to 6.0.2.7 again
anyone with the same problem ?

Succefully instaled noble note 4 rom!!

As the title says, i managed to install to my N915FY the "NOBLE Note 7 Edge UX 3.0" rom..Rom is working fine anf fast, testing it now ,camera has a few issues ,but the new fresh look of the rom is great.

I dont know if it will work for you,but i will explain what i did:
Of course i was in MM 6.0.1 stock ,rooted and with TWRP.Flashed Mickey387 latest [v2.0] and played a bit.Then did ALL wipes and flashed NOBLE rom.After finished flashing,rom didnt boot and stuck at Samsung logo.
Then booted again to recovery and flashed lastest Mickey387 kernel.
After 5-8 minutes rom booted fine and made my setup.
That's it ,didnt flashed bootloader or modem, till now all fine ,testing more but as i said before its a new ,fresh look for my edge.
Try it yourselves but take your backup always.

I'm only aware of this one and a cm14 but both are far from stable. The most problem on both is data, it ain't working.

I want to use it for few days to experience android 7. Should i go for it or wait for a stable build ? Also , i am on wiko , android 5 stock rom . My device is unrooted and without any twrp , so what to flash and any guide for that ??

I would advice you to wait a more stable build. You can't even make a call with this build. But if you still wanna test it give us more info bout your device. What wiko model.

Yeah you should wait but it's gonna take some time.
For the root and recovery of your phone they are explained in the topic you linked. Just use kingroot to root it and there is a recovery in the topic you linked.

I have try to root this rom wide kingoroot, root genius, unlock root and UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76, but every time i try, the smartphone reboot and stay at boot loop, any sugestion? I have a wiko rainbow 4gb.

There is no root for this rom yet. It is stated in the original thread.
Btw did mobile data work for you?

Be cautious if you flash Mk90.1 2019318, an user got bootloop.

I flashed the latest Mokee (19/03) with Micro Gapps for Android 9.0 and it seems to work fine.
The only problem I have is that the power button launches the camera and there's no way to disable this annoying feature.

That solved it! thank you so much! It was driving me crazy all day.
Have you encountered any other issues with the ROM? I'm seeing random shutdowns/black screen every now and then.
Guess it's still unstable.

After every manual reboot it shuts itself off once but after force power on it stays on, if you use pin/password then do this..
after reboot give 1 second pause between entering each digit and let it settle for a minut.
Yes its still in beta but its the best thing till date Z11 got.
Even Nubia coudnt/woudnt offer 2 major update but our devs give it a new lease of life.

Unfortunately, it still randomly shuts down or resets.
I'm appreciative of the fact that someone put time and effort to develop this ROM, but it's just too buggy at the moment to serve as a real alternative.
Users at the 4PDA forum (where this ROM originates from) report similar issues.
In the meantime, I'm going back to 3.06.

As i mentioned its in beta i too am using it as my secondary driver.
Though i havent faced random shut downs but i apreciate you tried the rom and reported the issues.
Please share exact steps you took while flashing mokee.

im getting error:7 in twrp mine is 128+6gb signature gold edition and i really dont know what to do

Did you flash mentioned twrp first?
If yes then re-download the rom file and try again, it should work.

actually i did not, i have a twrp 3.0.2.0 i will update it but idk it should have the same functionality after all its a recovery , what will change if i didnt update ?

how is the battery performance, compared to the official ROM?

Good rom no hanging but it's over heating in gaming and getting shut down when gaming under 40 battery

Almost same. Although depends on usage.. You might want to try it for yourself to get exact results.
