I'm trying to root my phone. I'm looking for TWRP recovery for AT&T SAMSUNG S7 Edge (SM-G935A).
Bootloader, PDA, and Baseband Versions: G935AUCU4BQF3
ACC Version: G935AATT4BQF3
Product Name: hero2qlteuc
Any suggestions?
Sorry to say that due to the bootloader v4, we are unable to use TWRP. At least for the Qualcomm US S935A phones.
But you can use Xposed if you want.

If you want to root your phone, follow this thread by @billa: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75418504&postcount=2527
And to install Xposed, here's the full article: https://www.xda-developers.com/official-xposed-framework-android-nougat/
Hope that helps...

Unfortunately you cannot flash a custom recovery like TWRP to bootloader v4, in fact to ANY bootloader version of the A/P/T/V/etc models based on QC chipset, since they're locked. You can however flash TWRP onto the international F/FD/etc models since those use Exynos chipsets with unlocked bootloaders.

So I tried to flash a ROM and rebooted and now it says "System software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest AT&T store for help." How can I resolve this issue without going to AT&T? I also want to unroot while i'm at it.
Go to the att s5 section, theres an unbrick file you can odin there. Just for future reference, g900a(att s5) has a locked bootloader, so no cm/aosp/aokp/etc, only touchwiz based and you have to be careful with what you post thats not a rom built for the att s5.

yeah in setting it always said g900f but when I went in recovery it said g900a, I don't think I will be getting lollipop ever. The phone isn't fake but it's weird.

Thats not even att firmware is the weirder part, so why is it goving you the att error message thing about unauthorized firmware. I would tell you to just treatbit like it is a g900a and flash that firmware woth the methods or whatever, you dont even have g900a firmware though, so im kinda at a loss here.

I actually want to know if it's a g900a or a g900f
Hi All
I have rooted my note 3 with odin successfully, I was looking to install CWM but couldn't find the exact TAR file for the n9005 on lollipop 5.0.
I installed ROM manager which suggests there inst currently a compatible CWM I can use, the only device showing is hlte?
Does anyone have a link if one exists..
Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure hlte is supposed to work with N9005, N900A, N900T and N900P as well as N900W8. I think its unified for all snapdragon note 3s
I think your bootloader needs to be unlocked

You cannot / don't have to unlock a Samsung bootloader on SM-N9005. You use ODIN to flash the recovery and you are set. I would suggest this one btw. https://idlekernel.com/twrp/v6.6.5_2016_01_03/
That is incorrect it will fail when attempted
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
It's absolutely correct and the way I did it! SM-N9005 is NO US Verizon crap phone, it's OPEN for ANY modification and just causes KNOX 0x1! IF it's no N9005, then you are absolutley right, there are some variants from ATT and Verizon which are locked and you have to verify that.

I'm still new to Android, so still trying to learn the ropes, but from my understanding the above link is a working root for some versions of the S7 Edge.

works with SM-G935F which is the Exynos 8890 (Europe) version
Is it safe to update the SuperSU binary?
Yes, but you have to use flashfire to flash the zip. Then you need to go to download mode and reflash engboot or your device will not boot.
Is there any benefit to updating the binary?
Sent from my SM-G935T using XDA-Developers mobile app
The benefit is that it fixes multiple vulnerabilities that allow malicious apps to get superuser access http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525552
Would it also be safe to flash the latest xposed?

Yes, but get it from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960. These are custom builds for Samsung devices.

I updated to the latest versions on Super su and xposed and yes it did work. Just remember to reflash the eng boot after flashing super su otherwise you'll be stuck on a security screen

So flashfire will go through installing it, and as soon as it finishes I should hold down the button combo for download mode? Thanks.
Hi guys, I want to root my wife's Galaxy S5 / SM-G900F running Android 6.0.1. Although I'm quite familiar with rooting android I know Samsung can be tricky - the question is: will the existing version of CF-Root
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696537
work for all baseband versions for 6.0.1? On CF-Root download page baseband version specified is MMB29M.G900FXXU1CPD3 ---- but mine is MMB29M.G900FXXS1CPJ1?
Big thanks, Majo
I don't know but i prefer to install twrp and then flash supersu.

Thanks man, will do it with ODIN for TWRP flashing. But just to make sure and confirm - beside flashing SuperSU no further unlocks (like bootloader etc) is needed for Samsung S5?? I want to install custom ROM...
Thanks for reply in advance!
