Is there a launcher that can hide the navigation bar on the home screen?
S' mobitela
No. Why do you only want to hide it while on the home screen?
Edit: If you just want to hide it period, you can use this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1243352&d=1344188251

You need a custom rom like PA in order to do that.
Or use lmt so which is pie, so you can now hide the navigation bar buttons in expanded mode.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
You can also use gmd gesture control if you want to stay on stock but quickly hide/unhide navbar using gesture, even on custom roms its faster than having to hold power button and clicking expanded desktop

This is a great way to permanantly hide navbar but keep notification bar on stock but there is 2 problems i encountered with this method, 1st prob was the 3 dots would dissapear from chrome etc and on 4.2.2 i encoutered a flicker problem quite often but it sounds like the OP wanted to just hide the bar on home screen which im not sure why lol but if thats what he wants his best bet would be gmd gesture control or custom rom with expanded desktop mode

Agreed gmd gesture looks pretty cool.

All other app hide navigation bar and notification bar. I'm developing new root app that will allow to hide just navigation bar and replace it with auto hide status bar replacement :fingers-crossed:. No system files modification and no reboot required, but root is still needed.
Try it here and let me know what you think.

Is there a way to get transparent soft keys and status bar on CM10.2? Also why is it every ROM I use GPS never works?
Not trying to be a douche, just wondering.
Don't know about the GPS but if you download Nova Launcher's Beta it allows transparent Nav and Status Bars.

Select devices only or 4.4 for it to work.
Try using Xposed Framework + GravityBox module. It worked for me.

Actually it won't even change the status bar color. As soon as I exit it goes back to black.

Hey guys, I want to hide my status bar in all applications. It should only be visible if I swift from top to the bottom of the screen. Right now I hided my status bar with nova launcher but this hides the status bar only when looking on your homescreen. If I open youtube, whatsapp or any other app the status bar is visible again and will not hide. Is there any possibility to hide the status bar completely?

Hi!
Yes its possible!
If your have Xposed framwork, download "Force immersive mode" module.
This module hide status bar and nav bar automatically in app of your choice or in all your apps!

Got mine this morning around 6AM. Was hesitant to install from all the complaining about the status bar but so far so good.
Does anyone know whether the adb command to show the nav bar for specific apps still works? I want to hide nav bar for all apps besides one.

Not sure about adb and the nav bar but they still work with SystemUI Tuner to get rid of the battery icon.

I just confirmed it works. One of my apps was breaking when the navigation bar was missing so I ran an ADB command to bring the nav bar whenever that activity was launched.
Sorry noob question, any way to make the navbar transparent or change to black? I tried navbar apps but it's pretty buggy

Yes you can do it
Just download fluid navigation from play store and through adb make it work. Search google for more
Yes, there are some apps in the playstore that can hide navigation bar. I tested this when I was trying the gesture navbar from xda. Changed back after a day as I am not used to it.
Its about hiding not changing soft button (nav bar)
Through adb you can hide the nav bar without unlocking bootloader or root privileges.
Install system ui tuner. It has that option
