Is there a TWRP for the SM-G935V? I am skeptical of flashing the snapdragon TWRP posted in the Snapdragon development page since it supports G9350 instead... does anyone know if I can get TWRP or not? Is the G9350 development the same as the G935V since its a Snapdragon processor as well? Any help would be appreciated as I am looking to install the Lineage OS nightly...Stats on my phone currently are...I am Rooted (flashfire installed) with Android 7.0 Nougat.. Stock ROM with October 1st security patch.

Well, maybe if you go to the Galaxy S6 edge section of this forum, you might get an answer on that.
This is the Galaxy S6 edge+ section. And the Galaxy S6 edge+ doesn't even have a beta firmware of Android 6.0 Marshmallow out yet.
you make me annoy, i'm stiil watting for the update of Samsung for s6e+ @@
Before you revert back, you should upload 6.0 so us who missed the beta testing can give it a go.
we still wating for Android 6.0.1 update. your on the wrong forum. you made a mistake or maybe your trolling.
s6 edge plus didn't get beta
Hello people,
I have a Question, i want to dowgrade my european/Dutch S7 edge to android 6.0.
I have android 8.0 at the moment but my thoughs are that i need first to downgrade to android 7.0 and then to 6.0
Could someone help? i already downloaded the sam firmware android 7.0 and the 6.0 version for my edge.. what next ?
I don't see why not. Just make sure to do a clean install and have a backup.
Installing Nougat first should not be necessary. Flashing 6 direct will work (assuming you downloaded the right firmware for your device)
Does it trip your knox? I'm planning to downgrade mine from 8.0 to 6.0 (non-rooted)
Does anybody know how can I root Samsung S7 Edge G9350 with Oreo (factory firmware, not custom ROM)? Is it posible? Does someehere exist step-by-step guide for this? Thnks in advance for reply.

Search in the forum, there are a couple guides to do it
Here is my CUSTOM GUIDE, it's official firmware CRJ1 rooted with magisk, passes safetynet:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-sm-g9350-s7-edge-qualcomm-sd820-t3410969
I'm also working on an Overclocked Kernel, but OREO samsung kernel source is messy so that may take a while.
Is there a way to root s7edge g9350 hong Kong version. I just need root access only
If you want to continue using the phone with stock firmware/rom but only want root access then follow the instructions in the following link:
http://androidforrookie.blogspot.com/2018/11/systemless-root-for-samsung-galaxy.html
Main thing is to download the firmware that is currently installed on your phone from sammobile website. Patch the AP img tar file in the downloaded firmware using magisk manager and flash only this patched AP using odin
Hi @ananjaser1211 it can be ported the J5 J530F 8.1 Oreo official update to J7 J730F J7 2017, because it has the same SoC 7870 and your prometheus roms are the same for j5 and j7, and if the answer is yes, can you do?
Thanks for your great and amazing work.
Best regards.

Yes it is possible, but why ? there is legit nothing in 8.1 that is different from 7.0 , both feature wise and look wise, samsung screwd us with this update
regardless, in a day or two whenever im free i will post my 8.1 custom kernel, its tested on J730F and will boot, all you gotta do is flash J530F Oreo AP and CSC in odin (but take J7 .pit file from stock j7 firmware csc) then flash twrp directly, and the new kernel.
either that or wait for an official update or someone to post a custom firmware with 8.1, im personally exhausted with the projects i have to complete (new kernel, update roms, new twrp for j5 j7) alot of work for oreo, let alone my other phones
so im out from my side sorry.

Hi, for SM-J730F the wifi-alliance hasn´t certified it for Oreo update atm, the last certification was in 16-05-2017 for Nougat 7.0, if you saw any new certification for Oreo, can you post here?
Thanks.
Best regards.

As long as the firmware number is the same or higher, yes. You may need a custom version of ODIN that doesn't check the OS on the device, but any US model can run any US version of firmware. I converted mine a short while after I bought it and it's been running 935U firmware ever since. I would warn you that you can't downgrade the bootloader, but in this case the A firmware is almost invariably more recent than the U firmware so this isn't an issue. (That said, you will have to run firmware built around BL8 or later if you do the upgrade)
