How's land Development? - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
I bought land over mido/Kenzo because of the compact size. So, now I want to know did I do a mistake or land Development is very good?

You should unlock the bootloader and flash custom firware like Nitrogen OS (8.1.0) or Lineage OS 14.1 (soon to be official)
This is the best time to have the device.
- SO many custom ROMs
- Gcam Mod for camera
- Even official MIUI9 is good (still on 6.0.1 but still very fast)

N9005 roms and official 7.1 builds ?

After a recent disaster with my S5 I replaced it with a Note 3 n9005.
Am very happy with the phone but it has so much potential to be better. Are there any 7.1 roms that are actively being updated and is there any chance of official builds any time soon.
I would love to put 7.1 on this phone but don't want to get stuck with bugs I have to put up with for extended periods.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

There are always bound to be bugs when dealing with unofficial software like ports or ROMs, they're not perfect. As for an official Nougat release for a 4 year old phone that doesn't even have an official Marshmallow release? I highly doubt it. I would suggest just sticking with stock.
Thanks for the reply guys.
I know Samsung will never upgrade this phone to nougat or above but the custom rom community have done some amazing things bringing the latest versions of android to older phones when their manufacturers stop supporting them to make you buy their latest an greatest phone.
When I asked about official builds I was referring to Resurrection Remix or Lineage LOS 7.1 builds which get weekly updates. There will always be bugs I know but weekly builds help to fix them.

If I may suggest, I would try out a Note 7 port. I know it's not Nougat but in my opinion, Marshmallow with the Note 7 features is just as good and a lot of people have tested them out and are really stable. But as for more Nougat ROMs, RR and Lineage I think are the only options but I haven't tried them myself.
There is an official Note 5 Nougat rom out, so it should be possible to port that. We just have to wait for someone with the knowledge and interest to do it.
I'm running the Note 7 Phronesis Marshmellow rom, and I highly recommend it if you don't want to wait for a Nougat rom.

Thank you am currently trying the Phronesis Rom N7 v5.2 and am liking it very much very smooth and seems very stable.
And if i'm reading the forum correctly there should be a V6 version becoming available in the next couple of days.
thanks for the recommendation this rom will do very nicely until or if someone ports the N5 nougat rom which we can only hope for.

They are basically all stable, just try them and see what you like.

There is already ongoing discussion on this topic : https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/discussion-stable-oreo-rom-t3792049
Also make sure you are posting in question and answer section not in development section..
There's no Oreo custom ROM stable at moment, if you really want to use custom ROM i would recommend Nougat ROMs, especially the Official Lineage 14.1. Alias, even Lineage and ROMs based on lineage suffer from random reboot(And thats why after using custom ROM for more than a year on my Athene i started using Stock again, where everything works well and no random reboot)

Resurrection remix 5.8.5 seems great. No random reboots. Been using it for almost 1.5 years now.
Nougat ROMs have no reboots and hardly any minor bugs. Orero ROMs do have some bugs but are 90% stable which is due to the old baseband and blobs of the device. Hopefully, once official Oreo update is out (or even soak test is out), it should fix the remaining 10% problems.
I tried
RR (Oreo)
Lineage OS (Oreo)
Havoc OS (Oreo)
And in my experience the "most stable" is by far Havoc, righ now is what Im using even when the Dev just droped the project
Im waiting for RR to improve and will be definitly looking for it

Best ROMs for trelte

Hello, well you probably noticed that there aren't many up to date ROMs for the exynos model but there are even less ROMs that support trelte (N9100CQ) So do you have any recommendation ? I'm currently using havoc os 2.9 and are there big differences between N9100CQ and N9100C ? ( If I edit the rom to not block the cq model will it have any issues ?
EDIT: N910CQ

i never see N9100CQ i only know N910C or N910H(the one i am using now) and i agree theres less up to date rom,but i heard Ananjaser developing RN8 with noughat 7.1, but idk if aosp rom,i think theres some buggy libs or kernel(maybe?) also devs of Havoc leave too, maybe tries Lineage OS or tries RN8(in anan's telegram),never use both since i am lazy reinstall anything and still stuck on RNFE 6.0
According to Wikipedia it's only sold at turkey btw havoc os sees it as n910c (full name n910cqgsmh)
https://ibb.co/LhjLF3n I bought it from Turkcell (carrier much like at&t) it's unlocked
Well thanks for the reply I'm Really looking forward to Ubuntu touch and btw havoc Os 2.9 even if it's unofficial it's very stable and fast af.

Lightest ROM?

crDroid v7.4, Pixel Experience 11, ArrowOS 11 or Havoc-OS 3.12...
Which one is the fastest or/and uses less storage?
Thanks, folks!

But did you test the other ones? Is Arrow lighter than stock rom?

hmmm i think the issue with ur request is that the "lightest" rom is not necessarily the one that works best @Bugs. arrowOS 10 is indeed very good, updated my gf's G5 Plus to it recently and no troubles so far. from what ive seen any android 11 roms are not ready yet in terms of bugs / running flawlessly. as for storage / ram, general rule of thumb: the newer the android version, the bigger the rom / more ram it uses.
however, u should be on the lookout for android go roms, pie and 10 coming soonish.

Yeah! It is lighter than stock rom. I haven't tested Android 11 based custom roms. Most of the them have tonnes of features, but I personally prefer Arrow os as it has all the necessary customisation and is very well optimised.
However, you will lose moto camera, when you switch to custom rom.so I recommend you to use a stable gcam mod like this one,
Parrot043: MGC_7.3.020_Parrot043_V8.apk
Download MGC_7.3.020_Parrot043_V8.apk by Parrot043.
www.celsoazevedo.com
Additionally flash a boot logo which will remove bootloader warning.

I might be too late but I flashed dotOS 5.2 on my Moto g9 plus and Moto camera is working just fine. Unlike custom camera apps it doesn't crash and the only issue is that doesn't work after updating via Play Store
