Hi guys,
I have this problem from the beginning when I flashed my HD2 from normal stock WM 6.1 to Android on SD-card. I never could play the music through my music player . Recently I flashed my HD2 to Android NAND so i thought maybe this wil help. But still not, I see my .MP3 files on my SD-Card with ES File Explorer. Is i click on the file it plays in musicplayer but it doesnt save the track. So i have to click every song each time and when the song is done i have to click on a new one.. Maybe there is a solution for this.
Thanks guys if you want to help me.
Greetings Slagers
Hi Slagers,
I'm currently using the Winamp app from Market. When started, it searches automatically for new music on my SD card. Got all mp3's in the following folder: [SD-Root]\media\Music. Don't know if this is mandatory, but works fine for me.
Argui
I haven't had that problem. I just store all of my mp3s in a folder I named MP3 on the root of my SD card.
You could try unmounting then remounting your SD card or changing the location of the folder that contains your music files on the SD card.
I really don't know why you are having this issue.
Desperate
Thanks for a quick reply, but neither of your idea's helped. Im realy confused that im the only person with this problem
I shall explain my problem in good details this time.
I bought my HD2 from a guy, i had a little bit of knowledge about Android so I installed android on my phone. Next thing i wanted music on my phone and put like 10 MP3 files on my SD-card. I resetted my phone like a hunderd times but my music player can't find the files. When i search with a File Explorer i see the MP3 files and i can play them. They will open in music player but they see only one song. So that doesnt work. I hope there is some1 with the same problem and has found the solution
P.S.
I put the music files also on my phone card. Didnt helped either.
Thanks
This is a longshot...
I know you say you are using MP3s but are they really MP3s? It might be worth using a media converter and trying to convert one of them to make sure that they really are the right format and right compression etc (e.g. not .flac or .ogg or .mkv etc).
Try downloading any MP3 from your phone browser, reboot the phone and see if it shows up in your music player.
I've had the same problem as you this evening
It seems that Android is caching your music library *anywhere* But if you're using Clockwork Mod, you can boot into Recovery menu and wipe your cache partition. This includes the cache of the music library.
I would recommend doing a backup before, because I'm not sure of any side effects, when clearing the cache partition..
Regards
Its working
Thanks alot guys, its working now! Wooot im happy
I am facing same problem
HI I am very new to andorid.
and very much enjoying it. except the issue that My Songs are found when in Music player.
If I run them manually through music player. they work correctly.
Can you tell me what did u do exactly, to get it resolved?
I am a newbie so please bare with me and provide step by step instructions.
THanks in advance.
i would recomend you to reformat your sd card and see...first make a copy of your contents on your desktop them format your sd card FAT32-64KB
then copy it back
then rename you mp3 folder to music
Well, it's all in the title :
With every MIUI ROM, the stock MIUI Music Player doesn't detect my music. It's all empty and I can't set my files from the SD Card.
It's not .nomedia related, there are none. If I install another player, same issue. The File Explorer doesn't see the mp3 files but sees the SD card fine.
BUT if I flash any other CM7/Sense roms : no problem.
Any idea ?
EDIT : I tried "Rescan Media ROOT", nothing...
EDIT2 : I did manage to find some .nomedia files on my sdcard but nothing near my Music folder. After erasing them and rescanning, PlayerPro and the File Explorer can see the files. Still nothing in the stock music player.
Any idea PLEASE ?
Hi there,
did you find a solution meanwhile?
Cheers
had some problem with my rom so reflashed cm7 but the music player doent shows the songs on sd card though i can manually play them with file explorer . what u have to say about this , does it hours to read the files from the sd card after u start your mobile first time after flashing rom ?
Hi all,
Not sure am I only one have this problem. Let say I have mp3 songs with image tag of the singers. Everything look fine on my PC, then I copy over to the Note 3 SD card.
Using my note 3 in music player or file folder, some of the image tag is incorrect, for example Will Smith photo appear in many of the chinese song or song which is not belong to him.
I copy the same file back to my PC, the image tag is correct.
I try delete the ones on the sd card and copy again from my pc, still the same probvlem.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Hope I can find some answers here
I have tried all the advice given in Hardwarezone but still unable to solve it
Old files such as pictures and music disappears everytime I flash a new rom. Old Pictures are only accessible via quickpic or file explorers and no music player (except Poweramp) detects old songs too!
This only happens to files in internal storage!
I thoroughly checked but there is no .nomedia file in those folders.
As you can see in these screenshots, download folder only shows 3 pictures in stock gallery app but all pictures are visible in es explorer and quickpic!
I have found a thread with similar problem but that is very old
( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...y-suddenly-t1834123/post30282389#post30282389 ) ( this problem is explained in this thread)
This problem is not solved and is very wierd. Anyone who is facing similar problem?
If anyone got a workaround or fix please share!
