No Custom rom required , enable on miui 9 .

I'm wearing weeks testing camera apks from celsoazevedo files and for MI Max this work for me.
I'm usim gcam 31-8 from @bilakos10, thread gcam 31-8
This is for me the most stable, video recording work fine 30-60 fps and in low light.
And i use gccam 1.7 GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.7.apk from @Arnova8G2 for portrait mode.
Edit: I'm using global beta rooted with magisk and magisk module enable hal3.

Can you tell setings for GCam v1.7??? i can't take potrait mode always FC! ... i testing in Mi Max Prime Rom MiuiPro and i using magisk. camera2api module active but still FC!

Right now not because one update has deleted root in my phone, one thing, i'm using miui beta.
edit: Ok, let me try again.
edit2: gcam5.1.0.018-Arnova8G2-V1.7.apk
settings: nexus 6 auto, pixel corr, enable portrait. working fine in rear camera. Frot camera not saving photos.

[GUIDE] Enable EIS on videos

Hello,
I found that by adding the following lines below in build.prop, the EIS becomes functional in recording videos using the apk mod of the Nexus 5 camera.
Add the following lines;
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
persist.camera.eis.enable=1
persist.camera.is_mode=4
Unfortunately it only works in this camera application and autofocus does not work.

It might work better on other roms and Nougat, I'm currently at smalleui 13.1 and the best camera app I've found so far was the Moto Z camera with the professional mode (sadly no EIS but it have autofocus working on video)

Edit²: I installed for the first time a nougat rom (RR) and EIS works in video on all app
Edit³: I'm just an Network engineer, i don't have any programming skills, don't ask for new features

The line "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" already enables it

Sure, see samples on attachments.
Only will work if you have enabled camera api2
Install Camera X from https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/themes-apps/mod-google-camera-t3279714?nocache=1 to use EIS on EUI.
PS: Video was recorded on 720p because file size limitation from xda

I downloaded it now and it worked, try downloading some codec package and use 7-zip to extract

But say, can you enable 1080p 60fps recording with build prop modified and also can you increase the shutter time to some 30 sec. So we can photograph the night starry sky?
Isk anythi g about build. Prop never touched it.. Just wonder about the possibilities

Yes, EIS only works if you enable camera api2 and EIS line on build prop.

Make sure to change to read-only build.prop or else bootloop.

Edit: Flashed This Mod On MIUI 9 v7.8.10. Works But Lags a Lot. Developer has confirmed that It is still in beta so it will lag, But I believe it would definitely becomes stable one day.
Also I saw that If we restore the original lib, even then manual camera on Stock MIUI camera works with max exposure time 1/2 sec. But Manual Camera too lags again. Any way to uninstall the Camera Tweak??

Follow my steps
1. open any root explorer
2. go to system>etc>device_feaure>then there will be a file mido.xml.
3.open that file and find <bool name="support_camera_manual_function">true</bool> and change it to <bool name="support_camera_manual_function">false</bool>
4.reboot(you can also change other features as per your need but make sure you know what you are going to do.

I am currently using AEX 5.1 i.e Oreo 8.1
Before using the app, Please change the following in the Settings
1. B-S-G Mod Settings >> Model = Nexus 6
2. Use config only Nexus6HDRPlusAuto = On
3. Portrait mode on all models = On
4. Compress RAW(*.DNG) = Up to you On/Off use if you want RAW image
5. Developer Settings >> camera.faceboxes = On, camera.af.debug.show = Off
6. Close the app and open
For Now Portrait Mode Works Only with Back Camera, And it Requires Face otherwise it wont work.
Hope they release front camera working too.

Its an old version so no. New version dont work portrait mod. So I use GCam too for HDR+ shot and this one for only portrait. , But u can disable hdr+ and take normal pic with no purple.

Sorry, it won't cause it requires Camera2 api which isn't available on stock rom. And none of the Android 7/7.1 based Custom Rom support camera2 api too. So you need custom rom with Android Oreo 8/8.1.

I am currently using AEX 5.1 i.e Oreo 8.1
Before using the app, Please change the following in the Settings
1. B-S-G Mod Settings >> Model = Nexus 6
2. Use config only Nexus6HDRPlusAuto = On
3. Portrait mode on all models = On
4. Compress RAW(*.DNG) = Up to you On/Off use if you want RAW image
5. Developer Settings >> camera.faceboxes = On, camera.af.debug.show = Off
6. Close the app and open
For Now Portrait Mode Works Only with Back Camera, And it Requires Face otherwise it wont work.
Hope they release front camera working too.

Try this to check your rom support camera2 api fully, if not something is wrong with the rom try reinstalling the rom.

Well it is work in progress, so without face it can't determine the depth. So bokeh effect works with person only.

Don't know if it works or not... But you can try for yourself... Just do a nandroid backup first... then edit build.prop ( you will need root access) using build.prop editor and add the following line:

Camera2 api works, but I'm yet to find an port of GCam where portrait mode works. HDR+ was working in quite a few apps, but I didn't go out and click photos, so don't take my word for it.

Thanks, will try soon. Anyway GCam won't really work (at least on my phone) cos of 32bit arch

Added the line to build.prop, camera2 isn't working yet.
Hope someone can find a way to get it to work.

Redmi 2 2GB/8GB variant not supporting Camera2 API with with build.prop edit. Please help if there is any other way to enable Camera2 API. Running MIUI 9 Global 9.2 Stable. Android 5.1.1

I have been unable to enable it on my Redmi 2 'Prime' (2GB/8GB). Can you please name the few apps were HDR+ was working?

So apparently in a few MIUI10 based ROMs there's a bug
with the Camera2 implementation.
Just download this zip file and flash it via TWRP,
it will rotate your front camera back to its right angle

If the upside down happens ONLY with Gcam, I would not mess with it.
BUT
if you're experiencing EXACTLY this bug, it's affecting ALL your cameras apps, since it's a system/etc/camera setting.
Then, this patched file will fix them all!

Front cam is still upside down
Nvm, fixed it. I changed the front cam degrees to 360 instead of 270. Lol weird

I am still having updside down issue after the patch. Any suggestions?

Whatsapp selfie camera takes upsidedown selfies, I just noticed. All other cameras seem normal, Gcam included(orientation is ok after processing). Mount angle is already 270 for my front cam, I might have changed that specially for Gcam when i upgraded fw to MIUI10(.eu)
LE. changed front cam orientation to 360(was 270) and got the stock cam selfie upsidedown(probably all other cameras), so not an option and seems this is the stock setting for my fw.

I've used that already - no effect

Hi i've flashed the zip on Havoc 2.4 but now I get the frontal photo rotated with any camera app. Before was just the GCam with the photo shooted. How can i revert it?
Edit: with root access open this file
