Good day all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E and I've been looking through forums and such trying to find out if there is a fine point stylus that will work on it. I want to use it to make side notations on my study material on the tablet instead of summing it up on paper.
Please assist me in finding one that will do the job without any hassles IF there is one on the market and is available to buy in South Africa.
Thank you!

Yes you read that right.
The EMEA version of the tab 10.1 will be launched with TouchWiz on board. All the tabs on demo at the Samsung stand at a local mall in Dubai have touchwiz on it - be it 10.1 or 8.9 - I was also told that TouchWiz UX is final/almost final and the update will go live around July for North American users.
While the EMEA versions will launch around mid July - What I don't know is whether TouchWiz really is an optional update or not? I wouldn't mind picking up a local piece but I'd have to root flash the NA version of the ROM ( Which I don't mind, but the future is what puts me in doubt)
There were two different versions (firmware) versions of the Tab on display - the main area had a test build of touchwiz which was as everyone knows is VERY Laggy.
While what appeared to be a RC/Close to Final - lagged very little, and it did have a fluid (not vanilla fluid) experience, one of the Samsung guys told me that they had a Tab that ran the final version of touchwiz and it didn't lag, although he refused to show that to me saying he doesn't have the tab on him.
I'm really not sure what is happening. Also this region is surely getting all tabs without the SD card.
Also the 8.9/10.1 display units seemed to show the oil slick problem.
Cheers
Jackie
Where can I go see them ?
Hey Jackie - saw your mention of the 2 new Tabs on display in Dubai - could you tell me where? I have been itching to get my hands on them to see how they compare to the Asus TF...
BTW, you also mentioned about the lag and "oil-slick" problem - could you pass me links on these issues on the net please?
Thanks in advance
Hey, the Galaxy S II and both tabs are on display at the MoE Galleria area.
Oil slick problem is around here in the forum - as for the lag ( I tried both the vanilla 10.1 smooth as hell, but touch wiz made it laggy)
Jackie, do you know if that would be wifi only first or 3G? or both?
For European, I saw a lot of 3G being the first model release.
Both the 3G and WIFI will launch together in mid July for the 10.1 and 8.9 will soon follow !!
one of the Samsung guys told me that they had a Tab that ran the final version of touchwiz and it didn't lag

Hi all, I traded my note 8 for my Note 10.1 2014 in early February and I’ve been delighted with it, I was delighted with the note 8 but wanted something more future ready and a little bigger, I also have the note 2 for cell use and figured the 3G version could serve as a backup in a pinch.
First off let me thank all the posters and contributors in this community, you guys really help allot and I made my decision to upgrade based on some really good comments from this board, I appreciate the knowledge being shared here.
So my question is pertaining to the 3G Note SM-P601 version, do we not qualify for the new purchase perks? I tried to register and kept getting a does not match error for my serial and mac info, is it because its not a native us version? I tried to search for this info but couldn’t locate anything so any suggestions on how to get the perks is appreciated, thanks in advance fellas or ladies.
The perks are for the wifi version only.
I think its for all US. version , as it was mistake from samsung that i even registered my 2 devices note 2 and S2 that wasnt supposed to be registered and get reward 25$ playstore , so now they need WIFI code to be sure its US. version.
Oh ok thanks for clarifying, u figure the more expensive models would warrant perks also but who knows what the thinking is at Sammy. Loving my tablet though.
Hi guys, sorry if it has been asked already
I'm wondering if I should by a Gear 2 or a live .
I think I might be interrested to place and respond to some calls on my watch but I'm not totally sure also.
On the other hand, I found the live interface a little bit too annoying. Don't really a big fan of swiping the cards and go through everyone one of them to find your stuff.
I probably don't have a good understaning of how these watches are working , that might be the problem.
Thanks in advance guys.
Sounds like you already answered your own question.
May like to answer calls at the watch, do not like cards but I am not going to tell you what to buy.
Being stuck with Samsung devices (non Samsung Devices are only partly functional), and Tizen I would never buy a Gear 2.
I like the always on display of the Gear Live, hate the Gear 2 battery life.
I like the idea Android Wear can not be customized (add Samsung bloat), and there are 3 soon to be 4 manufacturers
Honestly at this point if it would not kill me to wait for a few weeks I be tempted to see if the Moto-360 lives up to the hype.

Yep that's a good point ! And I think you helped me a lot with your honesty.
I was not thinking indeed Tizen vs Android.
The Moto 360 is very tempting but I think the price will be too high for me.
Another question if I may, has anyone tried to use the Gear Live with a phone that has a passcode on it ? (a real passcode with 8 characters, not a pin).
I'm asking that because I have one from work which has Maas 360 installed on it and it's something I can't remove.
Thanks again
Hello,
For device comparisons, please go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229761. I will have to close this one.
My note 4 and android wear app do not work together it keeps telling me when I install it needs to refresh to uninstall and reinstall over and over. It worked fine for a week and then crashed. I have the LG G watch.
Anyone? on the above post?

Yea I am going to root this week I just needed to put the note through its paces for a few weeks. It works fine with my G3 phone but just will not cooperate with the Note.
Call me a sceptic, but they should be working in perfect harmony like my M8 and Moto 360.
(I think) Samsung is starting to sabotage Android as they are trying again to reinvent there Tizen OS.........lol
Contact LG
If LG said (when you purchased the watch) that it would be compatible with the Note 4, or if they list it as compatible now, then they need to follow up on that and provide you with support to get it working.
If you purchased the Note 4 and Samsung has is written somewhere in their documentation that they would support Android Wear watches, then they need to be pestered with your support needs.
It's possible that your carrier, who sold the Note 4 to you, could also be held responsible for providing support.
Though I love XDA, and that community help is, reasonably, always at hand, it's taking on the work that manufacturers and retailers are promising to do. In order for manufacturers and service companies to accurately price their products, they need customers to make their needs and expectations known. If those expectations aren't met, then they need to make less money by having fewer return customers, or returned product.
It may not be the easiest, but it's the right thing to do.
I used the Moto 360 just fine with my T-Mobile note 4
I use LG G watch R with my Note 4 and my wife Moto 360 also with Note 4. No problems at all ...

Hi,
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) 10.1" LTE version.
I noticed right after that this one did not have the integrated DeX mode allowing to switch to a desktop environment which is convenient to work.
I would like to know if there is a method to enable this feature?
Hi I also got the same tablet recently and can you please let me know that is Desk Working ?
Set up and use Samsung DeX on your Galaxy phone or tablet
Samsung DeX gives you a PC-like experience on phones or tablets. Once it's plugged into a monitor or TV, it feels like you're using a computer or laptop.
www.samsung.com
No Tab A on that list.
