Does this option work for anyone on the Nova Plus? I've never noticed a difference when activating the toggle.

[Q] Is there no "Auto" brightness for Tab 4.7?

Seems like an odd thing to overlook....
No
thanks
It's on the Tab Pro and Tab S
In "Settings->General->Power Saving" there's an option to enable Screen Output Mangement. This will automatically lower brightness to save power...
...not sure if it act as a auto-brightness depending on the light in the room you're in but give it a try!
Pretty weird samsung didn't include auto brightness on all the tab 3 models this was present.
Don't mean to necro this thread but the Samsung+ application (device health monitor?) has a setting under battery life that can trigger auto brightness if you want. My tablet doesn't have a normal auto brightness so I have to use that.

Vibration/Haptic Intensity Diminished

I didn't use my phone for long before updating to N910W8VLU1ANJ3 from whatever was stock, but I noticed recently that the vibration and haptic feedback intensity is much less than I noticed out of the box. I remember remarking that the vibration and haptic intensities (turned up all the way to max in the settings) was actually far too strong. I'm not sure at what point things changed, I hardly have any apps installed, power savings are all turned off, but now with the settings maxed I find the vibration weak at best. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I try a factory reset? I'm thinking I should root and get going on some custom ROM's, but I haven't been too impressed yet with what's available for the non-US Snapdragon Note 4. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

display problem/brightness problem

A display problem has occured recently. When the brightness of the screen is set to minimum/very low, one side of the screen appears a little brighter and flickers, starting from the same side as the home button, it seems to get darker 1 bar at a time, until the display is consistently the minimum brightness. (without being able to post a screenshot i cant explain better)
I have tried starting in safe mode (however whats app was running and i thought no apps run in safe mode but the disable safe mode button was there to so idk) anyway the display problem was still present.
android version 5.0
I have the same problem
& til now there is no solution for it
I tried similar kernels & similar roms & it still available
I hope someone give us a solution

Moto Display

So I was thinking can anyone modify moto display apk to enable the wave to wake feature?
X Play doesn't have IR sensor!
Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk
I use pocket lock and only enabled the unlock option (screen on) so I can wave to power on display also works when I take it out of pocket. Works flawlessly with virtually no power drain. Let me know if you want me to share the settings I used.

Daydream VR too low brightness?

Is anyone using Daydream VR here? I do, and I experiencing some really low brightness when I'm in VR mode.
My question is that it's possible to override somehow screen brightness when I'm in VR Mode? The users who use Daydream know that the moment you start the Daydream app the screen brightness get lower than default, and I can't change it, it's really annoying.

Have the same issue! Any one can help? Also, do Axon 7 have display settings for VR like Pixels? Cant find them.
Have you tried using manual brightness? My first thought is that it's the light sensor being covered making the phone think you're in a dark room. If so, it should be fixed by turning off the auto setting.

i dont have axon 7 but i know its amoled screen so
it uses PWM to have lower brightness (blinks fast on and off 240hz? some says? hw info app)
so its low brigthness may be to have better fps/hz
100% brightness has no pwm. (Pulse Width Modulation is not good for the eyes though, some are sensitive and others less so)
On Options --> Display, there's an option (at least in LOS) which says 'When on VR'
-reduce blur
-reduce flickering
Maybe try changing that setting if you can?
If you bought this phone because of its VR capabilities, don't install LOS since it still has trouble with VR and stuff
