Im going to start porting roms but i need your help

Hello every one , I'm going to start porting ROMs however I need your help as I don't own a Samsung j5 ( I use my mums ) I need someone to find or tell me the nearest phone spec wise to the j5 thank you for your time

Better use Galaxy Grand Prime. It has a ton of stable roms with 0 bugs. Nd yeah obviously same specs. :good:
Porting Nougat nd booting it up is hard. Tell me if you're successful.

Please someone port Lineage os or Cyanogenmod for J5 2016, i love the rom and would be nice if someone would port it to J5 2016 (sm-j510fn) i can be tester if thats the case

LineageOS 14 will come to J5 2016 guaranteed! The dev on j5 2015 is going to build it for 2016 in a few months. Just wait.

If you don't even know how to look for the docs to build a custom ROM, how can you build it if you don't have any knowledge!!?
Do you have any knowledge of the following languages? Java, C, Shell, Makefile, maybe more...
Isn't only get the source and it build, there a lot of work, look at the J5 2015 sources https://github.com/J5-Nougat

ROM for Galaxy A5 2016 like cyanogenmod

In the past I used to use the cyanogenmod ROM, but it was discontinued. There is a good ROM like cyanogenmod for Samsung A5 2016?

It has some bugs and no one can fix the audio...

****ing?, u are so smart, we got exynos 7580 on a3 2016 and we have Los,RR,Aex etc stable...?

Well I and kmx and others can maintain it, but there's one thing! We need the device! Testers are useless, if you look on github and the source code its 100x more work than you think -nef

Actually i'm not able to provide a stable AOSP based ROM for A5 because of weird differences as A3. I'll maybe get the A5 soon, I'll have news on 30/11

I like rom RR, hope you fix the bug.

There is AEX AOSPExtended, LineageOS and even ResurrectionRemix but all of them have the same issues like the audio that no one was able to fix yet.

The ROM is still being tested and had a number of bugs, which are being worked to get fixed.

A8 2016 Oreo will roll out soon.

As the title says the Oreo update for A8 2016 is quiet close. Since the S6 family and the A8 share the same SoC Exynos 7420 Devs should be able to port Oreo based on SE9 soon enough. Good luck devs

The S6 series could also receive an official update according to some proofs, go to the thread in the General S6 Edge forum.
Updates does not seem to be stopped, S6 and S6 Edge are currently receiving June security patch in Europe.
