[DISCUSSION] SlimBean for Sprint SGS4

So, let's discuss the ROM!

currently compiling and will have a new build up soon!
not sure if eveyone uses The Real Dark Slim, TRDS Toggle that darkens the ROMs UI (original slim feature )
if so, in this build there is a Toggle that can be added to PIE or Nav Bar, this is "On the Fly" changing.
so if you are outside and need a brighter screen, the control is at you fingertips!
Test it out
also a few changes to opt/telephony, what that means is 3G may or may not be better, those who have poor speeds, let me know...
OP in ROM thread will be updated when build is released

I'm on may 9th can I just wipe cache and davik and then flash new update? Or does it have to be a clean install?

noob question here.... when installing a new ROM, coming from ROOT stock... what are the steps to flash (wipe cache, davlik, system wipe as well?)
just trying to make sure I dont miss anything

Almost there... is factory reset a must on this or any rom?
Wouldn't I loose all data if I reset?
This should be the final step before I flash

There is documentation galore about this on every device... I would read it. But just follow what I said and you will be fine. It's really not rocket science.

I'm on the may 11 build the only one I've installed and I'm experiencing the horrendous 3g but I'm toughing it out since I'm having trouble rooting the stock ROM.
That has been the ONLY issue for me I've been having difficulty doing anything on the play store on 3g it keeps saying no connection.

Sorry missed the main part, The Email apk from the S4. I like that client instead of the asop one. My bad.

I installed that addon already but its the aosp one. NOt the one that comes stock on the S4. Thats the one im looking for. Am I being clear? DO u noe what im saying? Just want to make sure were on the same page.

No, I want the stock email app from the S4. I dont want to use the Stock email app from this rom. I was wondering if that was possible.

Hey the way I did it was flash stock backup, then turn gps on and get a lock then download gps status and get a faster lock open nav and lock a route, then leave all that open and get recovery with goo manager then reboot recovery and restore slim bean backup and wala gps fixed

MIUI v7 rom for HTC one m7

Hello to everyone,
While searching on the internet I find this MIUI 7 rom for HTC m7 ( for all variants I guess)... This is Chinese rom where in my opinion is the best for any other "JT " or " xl" authors who create miui roms for this phone...
It is truly MIUI 7 version for HTC m7 with a lot of optimization there in comparison with other MIUI Rom's...
Iam new here and I don't know how to post some link or to share my file here, but I will find some way...
This rom is not my own. I just want to help anyone here who is not completely satisfied with the previous couple version of this MIUI 5-6 rom's. So, I guess I help someone with this rom.
Here is the characteristics of this rom translated from Chinese.. :

Installation is the same like others custom rom's.. Wipe data (Factory Reset) and then flash this rom.

Try to restart the device and reinstall it also if you can wipe data and davilk and cache sometimes it fixes the problem

i did it already, i'm wipe my dalvik, cache, data, but sadly still stuck on 1% (>>>System)
do i have to wipe my system as well?
please help me..

which one should i have to pick on the aroma installer? because i'm picked the first one

What Recovery are you using twrp? im using multirom btw , and have you tried re downloading the rom? also make sure that in the aroma installer just press next in every option and when in the popup or whatever that is you got to press the green button.

If you still have your old rom go to the google play store and download the multirom manager and install that twrp it might work better with this rom.

what a beautiful ROM. Loving it. GPS is not working for me. What gapps you guys are using? Also how can i apply stock holo theme?

Where is the setting to assign a function for short press and long press of recents hardware button?

Problem sms and 3g

Hey guyz, i need your help please.
Some days ago I have installed eMotion kernel by sevenseg. From that day I have this 2 problem:
1. I can't RECEIVE SMS. I can send message, the other can read my SMS but not vice versa.
2. I can't connect to 3g. I haven't other to say (you can't say?Bhp) because there is line but it don't want connect.
Is there a way to turn at kernel stock of project lucky?
P.s. i have try to clean cache dalvik, change kernel whit renix's kkernel but i have other problem.

Reflash ur rom without wiping anything this will replace ur current kernel with rom's default kernel

Will the installed app remain? I don't want format phone because resurrection remix 6.0 is coming without bugs. If I format now the device I must reformat 1 week by now.

Dev adityaupreti is busy at the moment who is build rr 6.0 and when he will free, he will be go to improve cm14 for grand2 then he could give damn on rr so u have to wait much more

Dual Booting

A month ago came from nexus 5 world and I'm big time missing MultiROM. Thank you for the app
However, while installing secondary patched ROM in TWRP, I've got Error 1 - while installing both Lineage OS and AOSP Extended.
I wonder where I can error messages codes to figure our what's wrong with my setup.
Upd. 1 - just checked free space and /system got 0B.
- Does that explains error 1 message (see above)
- how I can free space on /system partition
- How I can get more space on /system partition - to be able to use this app? In other words, do I need to play around with PIT file? Or how else (and more safely) I can extend /system at the cost of interbal storage?

I'm not completely sure how to resize system partition but have you got a very large sized ROM installed? I was running superman ROM and still had more than enough space to install it. You could try to download an app like system app uninstalled and either delete apps like Facebook and install them again from the playstore if they are installed as system apps or delete very rarely used apps like SHealth (just an example, I don't use my S Health but you might)

So this will not work for the qualcomm devices , there is a way to use roms on a locked bootloader but unsure how on the s7 ,its on the redmi device , thus has been tested on

I doubt it, without a fully working recovery it isn't possible. I could be wrong, there might be a way, but I wouldn't count on it.

If you really want to maybe install a ROM like superman ROM and try it. It might be a problem with the ROM

If you are using the stock Samsung firmware maybe it is causing issues, if you tried flashing something like Hydrarom or Superman ROM it might work

While been a flash-o-holic, I tried that. But while there are no official ROMs for for 930W8, thus there is no proper CSC. That screwing up my modem big times. I'm not sure what's wrong, but after ANY N ROM I do not have network connection.

Might be that then if there are no official ROMs, I'm really not sure, I've seen this work definitely on SM-G930F/G935F and dual sim models but I'm not sure about 930W8, really sorry

It should work, just flash the kernel in the secondary ROM slot.
