Changing csc code and update ?? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hey guys
I have a brand new s7 edge(SM-G935F) and its csc (MID)=Iraq* and I'm stuck on October security patch and my Available CSC Codes: ACR, AFG, AFR, BTC, DKR, DRC, ECT, EGY, KSA, LYS, MAT, MID, MRT, MRU, MTZ, MWD, PAK, SMG, THR, TMC, TUN, TUR, WTL, XFA, XFE, XFM, XFU, XSG
I want to flash stock rom BTU via odin , can I flash it ?? And if I flashed it I will tripp my knox* ??
Thanks.

Hello,
I have a similar issue. I am on KSA, with security patch of 1 October 2017. While all the other three Saudi Arabia codes are already with 1 March 2018. I will try to change my csc code to one of other codes (ACR, WTL, or XFU).
I will post my results as soon as I have time to do the change.

PDA:JVH / PHONE:JVO / CSC:JV3 (O2I) on Kies

O2 Ireland have released the firmware finally anybody have the download by any chance?
I want to give it a try but i'm on JVQ right now!
http://community.o2online.ie/t5/And...erbread-for-samsung-galaxy/td-p/207850/page/2
I am on Vodafone in Ireland, and they similarly released 2.3.3 recently.
Search for CheckFusDownloader_v0.5.exe
I used it to download the firmware, then flashed with Odin.
The Vodafone command to Check and Download was
Code:
CheckFusDownloader_v0.5.exe -dl I9000XWJPA/I9000OXXJP7/I9000XXJPP/I9000XWJPA GT-I9000HKDVDI
where the long string is made up of PDA/CSC/MODEM/PDA and as far as I can tell only the last 3 characters of the Product Code string are relevant.
Here is what the output looks like for a -c (check) option. The -dl (download) option will download the updated firmware for you. Read up on the need for the decryption dll from Kies before starting your download.
Code:
C:\Download>CheckFusDownloader_v0.5.exe -c I9000XWJPA/I9000OXXJP7/I9000XXJPP/I9000XWJPA GT-I9000HKDVDI

You basically need to replace the product ID and product code strings with the O2 equivalent - I got these from a colleagues phone that was still running Froyo. The key is you have to have a legitimate string before it can find and download the appropriate firmware for you.
EDIT :- Just tried making an O2 string, and it looks like it worked
Based on the title of your post, and the format of the latest Vodafone string, I just tried the following, and it appears to be correct for your purposes.
Code:
C:\Download>CheckFusDownloader_v0.5.exe -c I9000XWJVH/I9000O2IJV3/I9000XXJVO/I9000XWJVH GT-I9000HKDO2I

EDIT:- END
Note: This process will not reset your Product Code - so you will still not be able to update it again through Kies without further steps.
For Vodafone (VDI) - I downloaded a MultiCSC ROM from Ramad's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14273101&postcount=1
In the Europe section there is a ROM that contains most European carriers. It mentions O2C but not O2I - perhaps an oversight, or maybe it is not in there.
XWJVH/XXJVO/OXXJV9/Sbl (CSC: MultiCSC): Download (142.5 MB) (Build date: Wed May 4 18:03:59 KST 2011)
(MultiCSC: AUT, BSE, CNX, COA, COS, CPW, CRO, CYO, CYV, EUR, IRD, KOR, MET, MOZ, MSR, MTL, O2C, ONE, ORO, ORS, SEB, SIM, SMO, SUN, TMZ, TOP, TPH, TRA, TRG, TSR, TWO, VDH, VDI, VIM, VIP, VVT, XEH, XEO, XEZ, XFA, XFC, XFE, XFM)
In any case probably worth your while to try. If O2I is not in there. Alternatively, there are 2.2 releases further down the page that do have O2I in them.
I flashed this, then used the *#272*IMEI# method to bring up the Sales Code selection menu. I picked VDI from there, and allowed it to reboot. This restored the VDI product/sales code. Then, I flashed the VDI version of 2.3.3 over the top.
Now Kies recognizes the ROM, and says it is the latest available.
Good luck!
Does this mean O2 in England will give the update to user soon?

o2 uk has already released 2.3.3. JVH try updating your kies then plug phone in or download it from samfirmwares and flash with odin, but I can confirm we already have it, I got it through kies about 6/8 weeks ago.
Why does my Kies says 2.2 is the latest version? Anything is wrong?

[Q] CSC issues

Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 I9505 International
Originally these were the PDA and CSC of the device.
PDA: I9505XXUAMDI
CSC: I9505TSIAMD8
I later rooted and flashed a new ROM.
I decided i wanted to return the phone to stock firmware unrooted, and be able to get updates when available.
I went to samfirmware and downloaded the firmware corresponding to my PDA and CSC, and flashed it.
Everything went back to normal, I had a stock ROM without root. However, samsung HUB, KIES, and OTA updates are not working.
When I type in the dialer *#1234# I get only CP and AP, but without the CSC.
If I go to recovery mode, in addition to the ussual menu I see:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : TSI
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
and an icon of the android lying down with a red triangle. below it says "No command."
I have searched the internet all day and found people who had similiar issues.
I tried rooting the device and using the app "Samsung Galaxy S / S2 / S3 CSC" with root mode, but when I get to the screen where I need to enter my CSC, I only have a textbox which I cannot enter any text into. Trying to click Install just prompts me to enter 3 letter CSC to the textbox.
I tried the method where you flash the stock, do factory reset, login to google, and flash stock again.
Hasn't worked either...
If anyone knows how I could possibly solve this I would be very grateful.
thank you in advance

Downolad the correct CSC file pack from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250824 in Post 3, root the phone and select the correct CSC with CSC Changer from Play. After that use Triangle Away to reset the counter, go straight to downloadmode and reflash the rom you have and do a data factory reset, and you`re done.

as i see your product code (csc) is right (TSI Ireland) so no need to use csc changer.
did you mean that csc is showed as "unknown" when you dial *#1234#?
flash your stock firmware as csc not pda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37821659&postcount=2

I`am sorry bro, can`t seem to find your CSC file, also the rom cannot be found. Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252855 and PM the dev for the correct TSI CSC file.

as i see your product code (csc) is right (TSI Ireland) so no need to use csc changer.
did you mean that csc is showed as "unknown" when you dial *#1234#?
flash your stock firmware as csc not pda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37821659&postcount=2

"nothing to lose" - not sure about that... I don't really feel comfortable doing something like this which I don't know others have already done on this exact same device...
Too scared of bricking my phone
I think I'll keep that option in mind but postpone it untill I'm very desperate...
If you could show me a thread where someone else did it on an I9505 I would feel much safer

Sir, you know that different parts of odin (phone, pda,....) are used to flash a multi files firmware.
for example modem in "phone".
and one package firmware is flashed with pda and modem is included.
another example, modem can be flashed with pda or phone
any part of odin search for the right partition to flash the image, so if you flash modem in "pda" or "csc" it will be written in modem partition, not in system nor in csc.
Note that not every phone has the same partition table.
i tried before on my 4.2.2 stock firmware for my I9105 and on my mini s3.
I showed you the link for mini s3, you can read the whole linked thread.
and...forget what i posted!
do what are you comfortable with.
and remember this rule: every thing you flash, you will do it on your own risk
EDIT: if you want, wait for a couple of days when i get back my I9500 (replacing broken touch screen) i will flash a stock firmware as "csc"
And for your information i flashed my Nexus firmware once as "Bootloader" in odin.

First of all, thank you for trying to help me and explain to me, for now I have decided to use a custom ROM in the meanwhile.
However I am very interested to know the results of you flashing modem in CSC on your I9500 if you are planning to do so.
If and when I decide to go back to stock ROM, I will update you if this fixed the problem or not.
and again thank you
csc, pda and modem?
Hey,
I've a similar problem as previously mentioned in this thread. I want to change my csc, pda and modem to three Ireland's because I'm hoping this will improve the coverage on my phone. People I know who are on this network consistently have stronger signal and stay on data where as my phone drifts onto gsm and edge.. I've been looking at this and also if there is any wcdma preferred option on the GT-i9505?
Can I flash with odin a csc, pda and modem for there Ireland from sammobile? Can this download be used for csc, pda & modem or just pda?
Secondly, is there anyway to stop the phone drifting to edge/gsm.. and instead go from H+ to H..? (this is what happens on my friends phone + my old galaxy young(on wcdma preferred))
Eoghan.
Model: GT-I9505
Currently I'm on
AP:i9505XXUBMGA
CP:I9505XXUBMEA I've change this before myself from what it was previously
CSC: I9505OJVMGD
Three Ireland - sammobile - ww...//rapidgator.net/file/d1279444c6d900e47884af14c2ba1c7c/I9505XXUBMEA_I95053IEBME4_3IE.zip
Changelist: 768421
PDA: I9505XXUBMEA
CSC: I95053IEBME4
MODEM: I9505XXUBMEA File: 9505XXUBMEA_I95053IEBME4_3IE.zip Does it include a csc, modem and pda?

OXM multi CSC if your country and provider supports it (VOLTE, Wifi Calling)
Then simply use ODIN to be on the latest firmware as soon as any of the included CSCs is updated

In Odin, if you use the HOME_CSC*** you will retain your apps and data. I updated using XEF (France), byt today I notice that the UK (BTU) firmware with April 1 security update was released on April 28. link: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s10-plus/SM-G975F/

As long as you flash the multi-CSC for France there should be no issues.
