I wonder if there is a 8.1 Rom out there, which is able to switch a single sim card off? omni for example wasn't working. Does anyone know?
You can switch of a sim card in every rom?

Hi, I suddenly started to face the exactly same problem. I was running RR 5.7.4 and SIM cards are now not detected in any slot. Tried reflashing and it still doesn't work. Putting a small piece of paper behind the SIM also doesn't work.
Thus, I worry it could be a hardware problem.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Try with another sim.Is imei is still there?
I faced that problem with some sim cards. But other sim is being detected. So try another sim cards.
Other sims also do not work.
It still shows me imei...
I have a redmi2 it,s still working nice until last week there is no signal and message say that I should activate my sim , and radio signal was deactivated ...and I can,t chose the 2G mobile network
I bought this phone with MIUI 6 last version after that it upgraded to MIUI7. At first I used 2 SIM cards for some time. Then only one.
Yesterday after I sold the phone having latest MIUI 8 a strange problem came up as the buyer put in both of his SIM cards.
When both of the sim cards are inserted, the phone shows no SIM. If only one SIM card is inserted then the connection works fine. I tried inserting the SIM into the second slot which seems to have the problem and 'no sim' was displayed.
My question is as I never had a repair on my phone, could this be software problem? I've installed fastboot rom 2 times already with the same result. I've done factory reset for just the heck of it even after wiping and installing the fresh MIUI 8.
I used *#*#4636#*#* to try and switch off the radios on both cards, but for some reason 'turn off radio' button is click able but doesn't do anything. It just keep saying 'turn off radio'. Also on the preferred network mode the automatically selected values show 'WCDMA only' for sim one and 'Unknown' for sim two, no matter how many SIM cards I changed. I changed both settings to 'LTE, GSM/WCDMA' many times to no avail. Either the SIM 2 slot seems to be the culprit or the software. Could something like a SIM slot die after it is unused for a long time? And if it's dead why is it choking off SIM1 as well when both are inserted together?
I flashed MIUI 8 on my Redmi 2 Prime and i faced the same problem. If you remove the SD card, both the sims work perfectly. It is the similar to the tech. in Redmi Note 3 or the 3s Prime. They have a hybrid SIM card slot and the phone, when flashed with MIUI 8 assumes that you have a hybrid SIM card slot too, whereas you don't. So, I'm sorry to say this but you'll have to flash MIUI 7 for both the sims to work along with the SD card.
Fastboot rom guys, flash fastboot rom!

Flash miui v7 in fastboot.I had also face this trouble. When I flash miui v7 fastboot everything work properly.
Yup I'm facing this issue on miui 8 it's a software bug... When I enable data connection it shows the indication of data working properly but after some second's the sim turns off like no sim is inserted but net is working properly... Better to switch to miui 7 for a couple of days until the next update.
Hello, Pankaj.Pal9 bhai.
It's a Software problem. Not the Hardware issue. I faced the same problem on my Redmi 2 Prime smartphone after installing the MIUI 8 Global. Faced the same problem in the phone with MIUI 8 but not with the CM13 or Dirty Unicorn Custom ROM. If you are Okay with Custom ROMs, then install CM13 or Dirty Unicorn. Otherwise, just install MIUI7 Fastboot version.
If you ask me, I will say CyanogenMod 13 is the best ROM for Redmi 2 Prime and other Xiaomi Devices. You can get more features in CyanogenMod 13 than MIUI7 or 8. If you are looking for Perfectly Optimized Custom ROM for the device, then the Dirty Unicorn ROM is best.
I flashed phronesis n7 port rom to my n9002 note 3. The problem is, have no mobile network. The phone says no sim card inserted when I have both slots with working sims from 2 different network. I tried the n5 port rom and similarly it didn't find the sim cards either.
Additionally both roms doesn't seem to recognize the second sim card slot, as there was only one no network icon in the statusbar.
My question is, is there something I'm missing, or some kind of fix to solve the problem let me know please. I really want to use any one of the two roms.
Ps. The n5 port wasn't going pass the WiFi network screen...blanked out when I pressed next then the same screen reappeared
HELP!!
On that roms thread you will see a big faq list and guide as to how to get help .
Recently my sim reader is not detecting my sim, and i bought a sim reader replacement (with sd card reader) to replace it. Then, i put my sim card, it detected, it shows my carrier labels, but no signal, only emergency call available, even tried choosing network operators and access points, still same.
Using Ressurection Remix 5.8.5 final.

It works, thank you for the suggestion, i back to s4 stock 4.4 and it got signal again, and change back to RR again.
What are the problems anyway? driver?
Not a clue. It could simply be a bug in the ROM itself, and a coincidence that your SIM tray needed replacing at the same time.
