Can someone tell me if the WAS-LX1A version is a single or double SIM phone please. I have the 4 GB version if that makes a difference?

It can be either one. You will only be able to check if you have a single sim, or dual sim device, by checking if you have one, or two, IMEI numbers in Settings > About phone.

G'day fellas,
Nas here from Australia. I am a newbie to this forum so apologies in advance if this topic has been covered/answered already.
Background info
I recently purchased a brand new P8 Lite from someone who had received this as a complementary phone from their mobile provider "Telstra". I bought the phone with the aim of combining my personal and work number onto just one phone.
Issue
Although the phone is unlocked however only one sim port is active. So I need your expert help in activating the sim 2 port to be able to use my other number. Please let me know if you require any specific info, I will try my best to provide all the info.
Thanks in advance, Nas
If it is the single SIM phone, you have to flash the dual SIM firmware! There is a good manual in this forum!
if it is already the dual SIM model: the second SIM can only connect via 2G. for example: if you use a carrier, that has no 2G (GSM / EDGE) coverage (there are some carriers), you cannot use this SIM in slot 2.
(sorry for my english)
Thanks for the reply.
How do I know that mine is a single sim phone? Is there any guide available?
Nas

There are couple of ways to get your bootloader unlocked...
The first one is by going to huawei's site and asking for them, you'll find it in this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=67372756
The other way is by using Kingroot app and running few command
http://huaweip8lite.blogspot.com/2016/03/bootloader-huawei-p8-lite-14-huawei.html?m=1
The email way is old and they wont reply..
Try the first method, be sure to sign up using your Facebook id.
The second method, well, used kingroot and fewpeople faced lot of issues using it (personally I used this method to get my code)

So I just bought the Moto X style and I see it doesn't have a second sim slot so I was wondering, can I buy a new sim tray on ebay and put it in my Moto x style? And If I do that will it work for my Moto X style? Or do I have to flash a custom ROM to enable that dual SIM feature :/

From where did u bought ur moto x style?
If in the features it was given dual sim then they should have provided u sim tray alongside also? Why to buy a new simtray?
I suggest that from wherever u bought it just return and get a new piece instead

yyyeeaahh, I think i'll stick with the 1 slot for now, right now I don't wanna spend something that which is wasteful :/.
I am almost 100% sure it won't work. not only does the style not have a multisim tray, but I am pretty sure it doesn't have the hardware to read the second sim anyway

Upon downloading the OTA there are 2 files namely update_data_full_vodafone_default.zip and update.zip all I want to know is if I flash update.zip will I get dual SIM.
Thank you
i dont see any reason why you should not get dual sim. or did you convert your phone before ??
I did not convert it, it came as a single sim. Vodacom apparently disable the dual SIM.. @enjac you mean if I flash the update.zip there is possibility of getting dual SIM

The model of my phone is can-l01
Compilation number can-l01c464b130
This phone is not sold in our country with double line
According to research, there are same equipment in double line phones sold in other countries.
If I get out of here, do I support the dual SIM card, if I install this modlin rom file which is sold in other countries?
Of course I know that there must be double imei besides this. I think we can handle it in some way.
Try using this in elevated terminal:
Code:
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds
I have a dual sim variant, but when I went to Lineage OS my second IMEI disappeared, this brought it back. If you don't have a dual sim variant I am not sure how you can deal with the second IMEI issue.
Can-L01 is single sim.

Hi, is there any way to enable VoLTE on B380 P9 Lite?
If your provider supports it and you have this option in your tariff, VoLTE is automatically activated.

Yeah, your SIM, did you activate this in your tariff or contract? You must explicitly have the option VoLTE in your tariff, not just LTE itself.
Of course. I contacted my contractor and activated it. More, i tried sim in huawei mate 10 pro, and volte works correctly.
What is your P9 lite model version?

I use my SIM on Slot 1 and my SD Card in Slot 2. Slot 2 is in Hardware Base only for SD Card or SIM on EDGE / 2G Network. It can not handle UMTS / 3G or LTE. This worked only on SIM Slot 1.

With a dual-sim model...
You can choose the Slot with 3/4G...but only 1.
Slot 2 can be 3/4G also.
It's possible:
1. Slot 1 3/4G - Slot 2 2G
2. Slot 1 2G - Slot 2 3/4G

Installed VNS-L31C432B398 Dual Sim, no option at all.
It seems you are the only one having C432 with volte option... Or... i think you had a branded firmware!
You can try Magisk module VoEnabler or just manually enable it.

That's possible but i have I bought the smartphone from the electronics store. Without a network provider. It is without branding. I do not know why most of this option does not exist. Maybe it just depends on the region.
