Hi there,
My wife has this P8 Lite (Young named model in fact) version ALE-TL00C01B250, which is a Chinese model with Chinese firmware.
I want to upgrade it to the lastest official chinese firmware, but the built-in sytem update check tells there is no other version available (Android 5.1.1, UI 3.1).
I have seen around some how-tos to convert to international version of P8Lite with Marshmallow, involving root and required tools. But we just want to keep the Chinese firmware, without having to install google apps and want to keep the so-called 'chinese bloatware'. So, basically we just need to find the official chinese firmware for the phone and use it, perdiod... but as I can't read Chinese, searching on officialor unofficial Huawei chinese forums is pointless.
Thus, some help here would be really appreciated to get the official Chinese update file and how to apply it properly.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Download firmware from either Huawei's official website or carbon Tesla and update it by going in setting--->updater---->local update.
.
.
You may lose is data so I recommend to make a backup.
Thanks for your replay, but the Carbon Tesla does not provide any ALE-TL00 firmware, only ATE-L21 which doesn't fit our purpose.
Huawei's official website (in Chinese to access ALE-TL00 firmware) is... in Chinese, and I can't read or find what I need... same as I mentioned it already for the official forum... but even after trying some 'random' clicks, I found only Lolipop version of firmware...

You SHOULD obtain the beta update.
1. Be sure: your phone must have original recovery and unrooted
2. Via HiCare (not from play store, but that preinstalled). From here go to beta testing, or rom update (accept the terms, maybe the text is in chineese but this you will understand)
3. If none above are working, try installing twrp, root, and flash sokkobans modified b564 cn firmware
(read the instructions)

Yes, we've got access to teh HiCare installed app, and there is an update offers (B551). Unfortunaterly, we have no account, and making one leads to error (probably a country issue).
But that's something I can try to fix.
Thanks!
Hello, ive been surfing this forum for a while, it helped me to change the firmware of my NXT-AL10 to the international versión, using Fastboot but the versión i was able to install is very old, (NXT-C900B133), it has a few bugs, but at least i got rid of the chinesee software.
Now im trying to update to the new Emui 4.1 the B320 firmware or the newest available, but i allready tried to updated using the dload method, but didnt work, i tried at least 3 diferent firmware version, the only version that i havent tried is the NXT-AL10 – NXT-AL10C00B350 because i believe that it will install again the chinesee version.
Can anyone point me on how to update my NXT-AL10 to the newest international version available without bricking my phone?
i apreciate!
It's supposed to be as easy as flashing the B321 firmware via twrp, just as you would flash any ROM regardless of which variant of the phone you've got. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong here.

Thanks, the truth is that i have technically zero experience with this, it was actually a miracle how i flashed it, i use this thread to find my way to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/howto-load-international-mate-8-t3293619 but i have no idea on how to use twrp.
On the guide that i followed, it was very detailed, it had the download links, and i even had to pay 4 Euro to get my phone bootloader unlocked, but the guide was very explicit.
Now that the booloader is unlocked, and i have a flashed rom, what would be the method, is there a guide like the first one, but with the latest firmware?
Hi all,
Recently, I go through this forum and found there are many custom roms ready for this Le Pro3 phone. After consider the hardware specification and cost, finally I procured Le Pro3 (x720) phone.
However, when I received this phone, I found the latest EUI already installed (EUI 5.9.026s). When I go through the instructions provided by XDA forum, I found there almost no way to unlock the bootloader of this phone if this came with EUI 5.9.026s.
Can someone tell me if there is a way to unlock this bootloader if this phone is came with EUI 5.9.026s? If not, can I still can refresh my phone with some custom roms (like Omni rom on lineage OS?)
Thanks
I have no trouble with my x720, first time flashed customs on 20s, but few days ago returned from stock 26s to custom. Can't you unlock your phone?
No luck on unlock.
I believe you already installed TWRP before upgrade to 26s, so you can falsh back to previous version.
Have you official ROM and followed the unlock guide?
I follow the unlock Guide but no luck. I go through few discussion in XDA forum, seems some major changes in OS permission settings on 26s rom
Maybe flash 23s, wipe then try?
I cannot try it, but maybe it's possible to fool the update system. By modifying the update script of a 23s OTA file you can bypass the check for rom and modem version, then the system will execute a "downgrade" from 26s to 23s. This theorically, I can't try if it really works but the right path can be this! Cheers!

I did downgrades from 20s to 18s and from 23s to 20s... Seems buggy, but after wipes worked perfectly.
@marik1
How did you do the downgrade? Is the way you downgraded possible with a locked bootloader? Thank you.
(I am considering buying a Le Pro 3, but I will probably wait until I know that unlocking the bootloader is possible with the new EUI installed.)
For me it's simply flashing file with ROM called "update.zip" and placed into main folder trough LeEco's recovery. Like making update, but with different file.
I tested qfil by following the thread here to flash the previous rom but no luck, when I use qfil, I am quite sure the phone is connected ( I can see the com port), the process started(rom are unzipping), but when the system try to write on the disk, the process failed. I wonder if there are any permission/encryption settings applied on the partition of 26s rom, and not sure if I can downgrade due to partition permission.
BTW, where can I download 23s rom? and how to modify the script to prevent version check? thanks

Where to download this file? and the file should place on main folder but not root folder, right?
Just flash it, without changing version checking. You can take it from LeEco website;
https://bbs.le.com/zt/eui/le_pro3.html
You can also have trouble with connect, so you have to remove :110 from link and you gain;

Can someone confirm that unlock works for new devices which are shipped with the new software version? @andylcm please let us know if you get it working. thanks

the problems have been fixed.
Actually, I follow the unlock guide here, the problems was on this bootloader unlock guide but not on the phone itself.
@andylcm
Could you please explain what you did differently from the guide?
Is this the guide you are referring to? https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/leeco-le-pro-3-root-t3476560

Hi, how do I check my current bootloader version that is on my phone? And how do i know what version of bootloader will be in any stock rom i want to flash?
I don't want to overwrite with older bootloader. Need to know the current and the next one i will flash.
My device is from Europe and I have NPN25.137-92 installed.. I think this is not the latest stock nougat for my region.
Cheers.

No need to push your question everyday. If someone is able/wants to answer he will do.
First of all: NPN25.137-92 is not the European firmware, it's the one for India and Brazil.
The latest one in Europe seems to be NPN25.137-93-14, since yesterday there is another update with version number NPN25.137-93-18 out incl. August security patch but until now only US users (software channel RETUS) have confirmed it. For India/Brazil (your firmware) the latest Nougat firmware is NPN25.137-92-14.
Have you fastboot flashed some firmware on your device so that you are on NPN25.137-92 now? That could be the reason you don´t receive any further OTA updates.
Your bootlader version should be visible when you boot into stock recovery.
Yes, I must have flashed pretty wrong firmware, and now I want to get back on the track. Though I dont remember and I dont have knowledge what was flashed before that. Now I wonder what should be my next step in order to have latest European nougat, or oreo.

Flash latest european firmware NPN25.137-93-14 via fastboot. It can be found somwhere here in the Moto G 5+ threads or you can download it with Lenovo Smart Assistant: https://support.lenovo.com/de/de/downloads/ds101291
That should keep you back on track.
If you can't wait you can update to Oreo with the available OTA found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5...fficial-moto-g5-g5-plus-t3848246/post77856408 ( Read OP of that thread to find out how). But as I posted above there's a newer nougat firmware out in the US so you may not receive future Oreo updates if you use this OTA.

Need an advice: I'm currently on POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-10, OTA says i can update it to POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-14.. Then I could get Oreo OTA from the thread above. In case of any further trouble: will it be safe to return to nougat POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-10 via fastboot? If yes, if then I update again to POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-14, it is safe to take nougat OTA again? And then oreo OTA again? Hope you get my point.

No, that's not safe. Downgrading is always a risky thing because of the bootloader and taking OTA after that could completely hardbrick your phone.
So if you're once on 93-14 you shouldn't flash an older firmware than this. Same applies to downgrading from Oreo to Nougat.

Well, in case of firmware, I cannot find direct 93-14 fastboot rom for download. I have found 93-10 only, that's why I'm concerned about not having the most up to date rom version on my hard drive to flash in case of<>.

Thank you. What in case I'm unlocked and in order to use google pay I need custom recovery and flashing magisk. How do i get back to stock oreo recovery then? I know it's a bit of offtopic, but maybe you can help me.
I need the stock Oreo firmware for Moto G5 Plus Indian variant (XT1686) to relock the bootloader.
I know that the Nougat stock firmwares were different for different variants of potter.
But I read from a post that this is not the case for stock Oreo firmware and it's same for all variants. Is it a fact?
If yes then I have no problem as there are links available for fastboot version of stock Oreo firmware.
But if no then please tell me where to download the specific one for XT1686.
Reply at your earliest convenience.
Model is not needed, original software channel (Country specific) is required.
So if you can give that info, someone can point you in the right direction.

I found it myself.
The link is : https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1zE8nSFXhMaBbj9oAmEnypBh7_nRyHg6x&export=download
This firmware can be used for any channel as starting from Oreo Moto doesn't create different firmwares for different channels.
