Hello guys,
My X Style bike is not capturing sounds through the Handsfree, it only works in normal mode.
I have tested some recording applications where it is possible to indicate which microphone will be used: Main or rear. Sound is only captured by the main Microphone.
Any tips on how to solve? Is it a physical problem? where is his hands-free microphone?
I've disabled audio effects, cleared the storage and cache of phone apps but still nothing
I have tried to disobey dirt in the lower hole, nothing.
Thanks for your help.

Hi there,
I am having some issue with my O2 Atom Exec external speaker.
When the phone rings:
- I can't hear the ring tone (phone and pda volume settings turned up to high)
When I pick up:
- microphone does not work
- phone speaker does not work
Actually microphone seems to no longer work same with external speaker. I try to play music and no sound comes out externally. When I use the combined stereo headphones and microphone, these work fine. I have tried a hard reset and looking into the Windows registry for some obscure volume settings but this did not resolve the problem.
Anyone else experiencing a similar issue? Please help,
Hi,
You have a problem with the headphone socket. what I would suggest is play a file in media player and put the headphone plug in halfway and gently move it around left to right. You will know when it's fixed because the sound will start coming out of the speakers. This is a known fault that has been around a long time.
Cheers.

Today I faced this problem, I tried to do everything.
Then I did exactly what you said, and this procedure
fixed my speakers. Thank you ,very very much for help.
We can see this thread below, talking about this problem.

Hi all i have an issue with my video camera, the video records fine on all resolutions but its the audio that i have a problem with. there is no sound at all when i record videos, Can anyone provide some help with this issue? thanks in advance!
**Solved the problem i did a factory reset and got it working again.
It has to do with not using the the headphones that came with the phone. If you use 3rd party headphones and pull them out the phone may still think that an external mic is attached and will not enable the internal mic to record audio. The way to fix this is to either just turn off the phone (no need to factory reset), make a phone call, or stick the included headphone jack into the phone and pull it out to enable the internal mic. Hopefully an update will come out to fix this.
i didn't have anything attached to the headphone port on the phone. i really don't use anything other than the headphones that came in the box. everything i had on it before was backed up and before that i did nothing to the registry or made any changes that i wouldn't research here first. thats why i was so thrown off. thanks for the input though. it's really something to think about if i were to use another brand of headphones. i'll use the Bang & Olufsen earphones for my zune and stick to the samsung earphones for my phone.
Just curious if anyone knows of a mod to adjust the mic gain when recording videos. It's just way too high /loud and distorts easily.
Failing that, if there was a decent camera app that could work with an external mic plugged into the headphone jack (I have an iRig Mic Cast), I'd love that as well.
Very good idea with this iRig Mic Cast or any else external microphone and works very well with SnapCameraHDR and LGcameraPro I tried headphone's mic
Pinout for G2 is like in pic.
I am familiar with how many people are dealing with microphone sound issues on their 6P, however mine is a little bit different. My phone had "slight" liquid damage that was repaired by replacing a few parts and drying out. Everything on the phone has been working 100% except for an issue with the microphone.
Initially, there was no sound being recorded on the phone at all, and so I decided to try replacing the daughterboard on the bottom of the phone (where one of the microphones is). Immediately I had sound being recorded again!
However, I have found that I will record sound only from a few particular instances.
This is what works:
Phone call microphone (not speakerphone)
General voice recording apps
Google Now / Assistant
This is what doesn't work:
Camcorder microphone recording
Speakerphone microphone
Hangouts / Duo video calling (will work if i set to 'headset' speaker as opposed to speakerphone)
I am assuming it has something to do with the other microphones on the device, whether they are failing or it has something to do with the noise canceling effects.
Has anyone experienced an issue similar to this on this device (or other devices) and found a solution?
The only other option would be to replace the entire motherboard that contains the other microphone (which happens to be about a $200 part, with new EVERYTHING)
Short of removing and resoldering a replacement 'mic' on that board, is there any software solutions?
I love this phone dearly, and it's especially sad that I cannot even record video of my baby daughter with sound.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Nathan
During BT Calls, noone can hear me whatsoever. Even when Im not moving they say I sound very distant. This is with or without the external MIC although its slightly better with it, its still unusable while driving.
What did you guys do to improve MIC audio quality?
i'm cut out wires to int mic (and several guys too). Both mic work in parallel mode, settings is no matter. Ext mic alone work perfect. My unit is JY-UM135N2
