LG G4 international UPDATE

Guys i just recieved new update for my G4 international after 6 months ... So far its good and i notice that phone generates less heat .. It is v20g and July patch

I know but I didn't had the time and the necessary resources to do it . I was also a Little afraid for the bootloop problem.

Not sure if you know about it, but your phone is basically showpiece from showrooms or shops, that's the X in your version number. This kind of phones are not intended to be sold for customers.
You will never got more updates as you already have, so your only option is to flash it manually.
Bootloop problem is not dependant on software version. It doesn't matter if you have 5.1 or 6.0.

Do you have an accurate source to backup your wild claims?
My EU (UK) H815 v20d-EUR-XX is currently downloading the update.
No need for a manual flash and my device certainly was not a store demo model.

I'm not talking about XX, but about the first "X"... see?
Sure, your device is the same as mine v20d-EUR-XX which is a retail model, but this is not the case for VX10C-EUR-XX which is unfortunately a demo model

Ok, finally, it seems that I can't update automatically with a G4 ROOTED.
When I launch the update this message pop "phone restarting"
Then boot directly on TWRP... (>_<)
So obviously I can't execute this update automatically... :'(

Off you can't. You have another recovery. Use LG UP and flash it. Easier can't be. Note you will lose root and the recovery.

OK but where can I drop the .kdz file?

But even if the last update is was today I can't find the firmware h81520(x_00)... =/

Me too same model. I don't know what they're talking about. Store models can't even make calls and this deters people from trying to steal them.

Same. Luckily, they seem to have deleted the update so you need to redownload. At least we don't have 500MB lurking somewhere.

Go to thread about the Portugal update and download the KDZ from there. Any link from that thread is the international H815 update. Don't worry about countries and shenanigans is the same firmware for all. V20g-EUR-XX. Install LG UP on your PC. First the DLL then the program. Place the KDZ in your LG UP install directory (Crogram Files (x86)/LG Electronics/LGUP/model/8994). Put your phone in download mode. (With phone turned off press Volume UP and with it press plug in the USB cable). Click refurbished option for a complete wipe and clean flash. Before all this make a backup. You can also select upgrade option to avoid wipe but I always recommend a clean flash. Read the according threads in XDA for further information if you need.

It seems the h818p will not be updated(yet)?

It doesn't pass safety net. Same reason android pay will not work and probably snapchat

I tried it just to see, but whatever i do i cannot sign in, i just get the spinning pokeball for ages and then 'unable to authenticate' message,.

i guess that you have to wait till the official US version on the market, then LePro will need to get the ROM certified by Google. i was told even 'official rom' , it need to be passed 'google's safety check before anidroid pay is going to work. so currently , i can still manage to get tap and pay to work with Commonwealth Bank of Australia's mobile app. but Google's Android pay not working......

Man...this sucks. Phone is otherwise awesome. Especially for the price.

Anybody have a solution ?

It runs without any problem. Be sure not to be on custom cooked ROM...

Ya...you could be on 17s but any International rom is an hack made from sellers in order to gain more customers. Nobody knows if it could affect the normal functionality of the ROM. If I was you I would give a try to the original 17s. I downloaded it from Grossoshop.it.

few questions: 1) does this rom have google play installed, android pay works? 2) is it for the standard Chinese version dual sim phone? any screen shot for this rom? i have 019s rom, which works fine for a week. but google's android pay does not work. so if this rom support android pay, i would like to give it a try.
3) if i want to use this ROM, will i get OTA in the future?, and the update process is copy the renamed file to update.zip, and the use LePro standard update process to update: volume + and Power together ,then entering LePro'3 boot ....? can any one confirm those points for me? i would like to use android pay, and OTA in the future.

How do I install the 17s rom? There are instructions that say I can rename the file to update.zip and put it in the root of the dirve then click the update.zip to update?

Are there any notable differences between the 2 roms and do I need to unlock the bootloader or go through a similar process like xiaomi phones (ie, receive sms to unlockbootloader etc). Otherwise, is it as simple as the rename to update.zip process
I am planning to get one from an online reseller and I expect the phone to get some hacked rom since my country does not have official leeco channels.

Google play isn't present...you is very easy to install you will find the google installer file in the leeco shop app on your phone.
Android pay isn't accessible where I live so I can't give an answer.
Installation isn't complicated just follow the instruction on the website you use google translator.

I read somewhere that root breaks Pokemon Go.

Other step - update via three buttons (or projectmenu) , but erase data and relock bootloader.

If you want, change vendor is not problem. My P9 Lite same times was l21c432, l21c185, l22c636 and more, more. But i like chinese firmware, now use VNS-TL......B230.

I tried it once, l21c185b381, I downloaded it from firmware update, after downloading, installation was unsuccessful, it stopped, displaying "error in installation" is the TL....b230 Nougat?

All Nougat to P9 Lite have first number 3... Example B380.
You must at first change vendor, then flash firmware of that vendor.

Hello friends, I Have Huawei P9 VNS-DL00C17B245. This Chinese version phone is a big headache.
I have VNS-L23 and it is everything I need and want. So I bought another one for my wife. But this guy sent me the wrong phone. And it is expensive to ship, to where I live.
I have flashed ROMS to SAMSUNG before. Quite simple.
Is it possible to flash same as VNS-L23 to the VNS-DL00C17B245? If not, please advise me how to put the correct software on a Huawei.
P.s. SD card reader not working on this phone and neither is sim slot 2, which are the same spots. I imagine Huawei disabled this for China. I thought I read something about this somewhere. You probably tell I have been at this for three days.

I already posted here, but no response. I have ADB, TWRP and and phone is rooted. I want to put EMUI 5 with Android 7. Is it possible, how to do it? I am five days on same phone, full days, I tried everything, I read everywhere. I want to throw the phone against the wall now.
It is a P9 VNS-DL00C17B245 but on the back cover it says VNS-AL00.
The SD card reader is not working and also the SIM SLOT 2, which is the same slot as the SD Card Reader.
I received the phone like this, after purchasing it full price, and had it sent. Was meant to arrive a VNS-L23 but the seller was a mother ****er. And I bought it via my sister in the USA, and I live in Venezuela. I am stuck with this piece of ****. I really need any help I can get,

In order to concentrate all the discussion in one thread, I started this one, so please let's try to keep all info in one place!
For those who have your devices with root, please use the rollback packages to go back to b131 and relock your bootloader (necessary?!) before trying to update.
If you haven't receive the update notification yet, try to force it via the HiCare app:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the HiCare app
- Go to services
- Choose the option to early adopters (if you don't have this option, go to Me > Settings > Location and choose another nearby location and try again)
- check if there is a notification of a new update
- accept and follow the instructions
- if everything is ok, you should get the notification update on the update app
If you haven't receive the update yet, don't panic, as always, not everyone receives the update at the same time, we should only expect it to come out on February, so if we are getting it now we can only be patient and happy
For those who don't want to wait for the update via Hicare/Updater, check this thread that can help you getting the update using Charles app method.
PS: It's not mandatory, but it's recommended to do a backup before the update (via HiSuite) and perform a factory reset after the update!

The oficial TWRP didn't work for me. The one in the link mentioned above doesn't work perfectly but good enough in order to root.

You can try the method with chainfire SuperSU and report back if you did with success

you can try to change the base country of the HiCare app, just go to Me > settings > location and try with Belgium or Italy for example (it will not change the language of the app!) Probably it won't work, but you don't loose a lot of time trying it

I think just the b131 full package, the rollback is only for those in an higher version.

Downgrade Huawei Mediapad M3 (China) from nougat to Marshmellow

Hi XDA peeps,
I have recently brought a Huawei Mediapad M3 and i love it, but i would like to downgrade it so I can root it afterwards. Why downgrade? Because the on the official website where you're supposed to unlock the bootloader. You need to select whether the tablet is EMUI4/4.1 or EMUI 5. Because I have Nougat I do have EMUI 5, I need to select EMUI 5 on the website. However I can't set the category on "tablet", only "smartphone". It will ask for a IMEI/MEID number, which I dont have... You can select "tablet" only if I had EMUI4/4.1..

I was wondering if its possible to downgrade the M3(CN) to marshmellow. I saw there where tools available to downgrade for the US(Sorry, no US, my bad) and Eu version, but not for the chinese version. Does anyone know how to downgrade the M3? Or maybe a other way to unlock the bootloader, so i can install TWRP? I'd like to install a different rom.
Any other suggestions are welcome too!

I'm looking to downgrade the US version. Could you share where you found the tools to downgrade the US version? I've only been able to find rollback for the EU version.

I'd swear i'd found a roll back for US, but it seems it doesn't exist. Otherwise you'd be able to download it from the official Huawei website. Sorry man.

You need to install Huawei tablet software (can't remember the name) on your pc and in there it will give you an option to rollback. That's what I had to do, to downgrade.

You are the man! I installed HiSuite and it gave me the option to upgrade the firmware OR to downgrade to version Android 6.0 with EMUI 4.1.3(Chinese version). I've successfully got the unlock bootloader code from the huawei site. Going to install TWRP soon.. Thanks again!

At this point, I could retrieve bootloader code from the huawei website and unlocked the tablet with these instructions: http://www.stechguide.com/unlock-bootloader-of-huawei-devices/

Used "Firmware finder rewrite" to find the correct firmware. My case i wanted to flash to C100(EU): https://puu.sh/yjdFb/a295fb3207.png
Uploaded the zip files to the SD card, rebooted the tablet in TWRP(complete shutdown tablet, no cable connected, hold up and power button till screen turns on).
install update.zip then put the other zip in the queue. Install and reboot, enjoy.
It does not look like it comes with google play, browser or any bloatware(it dint work).
Since I now have EMUI 5, i needed to download twrp specially for emui 5.
Had some problems with not being able to open google play or gmail. I reinstalled the rom with this one: http://www.stechguide.com/huawei-mediapad-m3-b303-nougat-firmware/, cleared dalvik cache and set timezone in TWRP. After flashing the rom, did a factory reset. Now google play services work! Happy days
