Need Galaxy S5 Unlocked Stock ROM package. (U1 Equivilant) - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi team.
so i recently unlocked a Galaxy S5 from T-Mobile for resale. The client is using Rogers with the device. I have done this with a galaxy s8+, and i ended up needing to download custom odin, and the unlocked U1 ROM for the s8+ in order to get local services running. (bixby voice, tethering, etc)
what i would like to know, is; 1) Do i follow the same steps to get the services working on the galaxy S5, and 2) if i do, where can i find the ROM i need?
if i dont, then could someone explain to me the steps to fix it?
EDIT:::
I found a ROM Source, but dont know if i should get USA, since it was originally a USA phone, or Canada, because we are using canadian carriers.
Secondly, there is a slew of different ROMs for each region. XAB, XXA, TMK, etc... What do i get?

Remove AT&T Branding from G900A Galaxy S5? (Noob thread)

Hi,
I live in the UK and I'll be getting an AT&T G900A Galaxy S5 soon (gift from family member abroad) however I want to be able to use the Download Booster and naturally since I live in the UK I won't be using AT&T - so how would I go about completely blanking and removing ALL AT&T branding. AT&T boot screens, AT&T apps and restrictions, want it all removed.
Basically I want to firmware flash to stock S5 software, how do I do it?
Many thanks

Change verizon rom to international rom

Hi people,
Can i flash international rom on a Verizon galaxy S5?
If yes, how can it be done?
Thanks!
To install international G900F rom, must be bootloader unlocked:
Same way as flashing a normal kltevzw/G900V rom, find a klte/G900F rom and flash it. Any incompatibility warnings are probably outdated, but be careful, and remember, you can't make too many backups.
Just know that you won't be able to use CDMA networks (Verizon is CDMA).
To enable 4G/Phone service in other countries, works with locked bootloader:
You're stuck with the G900V rom. If you're just looking to get support for extra bands in other countries, look into GalaxyTools by Idoneapps. It can give you international support on most existing roms, stock or not. Kinda hard to use but you'll get used to it.
Both methods will most likely require some APN settings modifications.
If your cat suddenly gets eaten or you need clarification, I'd be glad to help.
(You weren't too clear on your request - I didn't know if you wanted an international rom or international support, so I tried to include both.)
I have G900V model but I do not have verizon services in my country. I wanted to get rid of verizon rom as it's of no use to me. Therefore I was looking for a intrenational varient. I am running MM6.0.1 with rooted and bootloader unlocked. Will flashing a G900F rom again lock the bootloader.
How to proceed withave the process. Please help.

Which GS5 to get - AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or?

Looking to pick up a GS5 and put on Nougat via LineageOS. Is there a certain carrier's phone that is more desirable than others? Since I do not already have the phone I would like to acquire the best one to get to my ultimate goal of unlocking and putting on Android 7. Phone will eventually be used on the AT&T network.
Thanks in advance,
Bob
Try and see if the international G900F works on AT&T, or simply get the G900T, to not go through the hassle which involves an international version.
If you like using custom roms and such STAY AWAY FROM AT&T!!! Bc they lock there bootloader's haha
AT&T Galaxy S5 has Locked Bootloader, which means you can't flash custom ROMs. Sprint variant has different hardware for CDMA support, so some ROM may be incompatible. If you can invest on G900F (International Version), G900F is the most ideal one for custom ROMs (Or G900W8, which is Canadian version) Otherwise, you would want to get G900T since it has unlocked bootloader.

Questions on flashing Verizon firmware to a factory unlocked U1 Galaxy S8

Hello everyone,
I have an unbranded, factory unlocked U1 Samsung Galaxy S8 that I am wanting to switch to Verizon Prepaid. Currently, it's running on Tracfone with the T-Mobile network. Wi-Fi Calling is a must-have for me, but I've heard that it will not work on Verizon with the factory unlocked Galaxy S8 model. It currently works on Tracfone/T-Mobile, though.
Rather than going the extreme route of getting another phone, I was hoping that it would be possible to just flash the Verizon firmware on it in order to gain Wi-Fi Calling and other carrier features from Verizon.
Below are some questions I have about this.
1. Is this likely to work, or would I just be better off to get a branded phone?
2. Is the process as simple as it sounds on the SamMobile site? Or does the process involve something more like this?
3. Will I be able to receive OTA updates after flashing carrier firmware?
4. Are there any particular issues or pitfalls that I should be aware of before attempting this? (besides possible data loss, of course)
5. Will I be able to flash it back 100% to the stock firmware later on if I want to sell it?
6. Is there any other way to get Verizon Wi-Fi Calling while staying on the unlocked firmware?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Flashing unlocked U1 Firmware on Verizon SM-G975U

Hello! I've been out of the Android scene for a few years so I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to by searches.
Can I flash the unlocked U1 firmware to a Verizon S10+ and use it on AT&T? I know I'll lose VoLTE and WiFi calling, but I don't really care about those. Mainly, I'm just trying to see if I can use a Verizon S10+ on AT&T. Ideally, I'd like to flash the AT&T firmware on the device but from what I've gathered, that firmware isn't available yet.
I had a Galaxy S8+ when it came out and I used Odin to flash between U1 and AT&T firmware so the process isn't entirely new to me.
A bit of background:
I'm looking to jump off of the dead iPhone train and hop back into Android with the S10+. I'm currently trying to sell/trade my iPhone XS Max in order to make the switch.
I have someone who is willing to trade me their Black S10+ for my iPhone as an even trade but their S10+ is from Verizon. It's unlocked but it's still running the stock Verizon firmware.
I just want to know what I have to do with this trade in order for it to work for me. I want to make sure I get a phone I can use. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for any help!
I'm not entirely sure if this will work on the S10+, I haven't tried it yet, but when I had the S8+(it was from Verizon as well), I'd take it internationally with a different sim card, it would just prompt me to reboot the phone and it would automatically apply the appropriate CSC settings. I was on stock VZW firmware as well and VoLTE worked (wifi calling didnt).
You should be fine either way though, people have successfully flashed the U1 firmware on their VZW devices for the S10+, so you shouldn't have any issues getting your AT&T sim card to work on it.
Edit: link to get the U1 firmware

I wish Samsung included the BYOD update in the S10+, that would make it so much easier. I think I'm just gonna make the trade.
I've read through that thread and that's what I think I'm going to do. I'd much rather flash the AT&T version, but seeing as how it's not available, the U1 will do fine until it's released. I'll just need to switch to a different voicemail service in the meantime. lol
I got a Verizon S10+ and it is running build PPR1.180610.011.G975USQS2ASGB, I have confirmed that putting an AT&T SIM gives me network ability to call and what not. I want to flash the stock U1 branded firmware, is it okay if I flash G975U1UEU1ASD8 with Odin?

HEY I know have the same problem... Does it work.., I have installed the firmware and all so should I go for it.., waiting for your reply
I have Verizon unlocked phone and I'm able to use internationally where there is no Verizon, but I'm not getting updates so I have downloaded latest firmware should I flash it, also now I don't need any Verizon sim after flashing right ?
Yes you can flash U1 firmware to a U device and vica versa. The U means Universal, so you can flash AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile, or unlocked firmware to it. You gotta use the patched version of Odin though.

As Just changing csc without installing the system is more than enough. Even the company logo changes. Just look for the samkey program and you will see
