Hi.
After updating Danvh's lolipop-rom to the latest version, I lost my signal and wifi. When I force my phone to use 2G (GSM only) in network-settings, everyting works normal.
But of cource I want the speed of 3G and 4G when using internet!
Sometimes (not often) 3G works.
Sometimes the phone says it has signal, but calls, internett etc don't work
I tried to flash the latest modem (XXUHOC6), but no luck. Have also tried modem XXUGNK4, XXUHOB8 and XXUHOB7. I tried to go back to the older version of the custom rom, but no luck
I have now downloaded the latest official stock rom from sammobile. But same problem with stock rom.
Any suggestions?

I recently bought a galaxy s4 from verizon, as you know this device comes with the bootloader blocked so it does not allow changes in the system: (neither TWRP nor Roms anything, only root and module changes by flash fire) so I decided to buy a board of a SPH-L720 that works perfectly, until all very well the board brought stock rom and everything was great as far as wireless networks, so I decided to do root and change the recovery to install octos everything came out Good and booom! I had android 7.1.1 running on my sph l720, but there was a small problem THE MOBILE NET NOT WORKED anything 3g or 4g or anything, also in the settings did not allow to select preferred network type because it gave me a Error when doing it also with the code * # * # 4636 # * # * when selecting the gsm returned to LTE / CDMA and this was starting to annoy me so much because in my country CDMA is not useful and I was without service.
It happens that apparently the developers of this rom and the 10 most that proves they forgot to put in the build.pro the global network mode as preferred, so the cell phone only worked with LTE / CDMA and nothing else, so Try more than 20 ways install again stock and worked the network (but did not want stock wanted 7.1.1) so change the baseband and nothing at all this took me more than 4 days parting my eyes for a stupid error of the build. Prop so I found a tutorial on the net that gave me the link to a zip file flasheable by recovery and ready after 3 minutes select from 3g boomer and booom my cell running on 3g full and no signal decay thanks To all because I read all the help post and no one answered

I'm guessing that the OP was just spreading some BS, but I actually came here today looking for something that will allow GSM service on custom ROMs. My LG G3 just crapped out, so I had to get my 720T unlocked so I could use it on AT&T until I can afford to get something better. It works well enough on the stock ROM (although 3G kinda sucks) but it constantly switches between US Cellular and AT&T when I'm running a custom ROM, making it effectively useless.
Anyone know of any ROMs that can be flashed on the 720T that will enable GSM networks; any way to modify the popular ROMs floating around so they'll do what I need?

try flashing the stock rom...maybe u would get it with that..the again flash your desired custom rom
I have the same problem bro. In my case, I lost the Volte facility due to this and I only have the 4g LTE now which can just be used for internet. Follow the steps at https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/restore-imei-0-moto-g5-xt1687-t3739808 to get back your signal. As for Volte, there is no fix as of today.

I have the same problem but on my 4g plus my sim won't work with custom roms as it's a cdma sim only ones that do work are stock custom or stocked tweaked roms so what you can try to do is go back to stock and see if your Sims work again.
I had the same problem. FIXED installing crdroid 7.1.2. Latest firehound works intermittently. Sometimes it works and sometimes just doesn't show any sim.
I can get the signal back ..but it's doesn't work forever... As miguileto133 said !!! ..sometimes signal comes back after wiping cache. But it doesn't always work..So I am gonna try flashing stock then again Will try to flash custom ROM ..if it again fails to get network.. I'll have to choose stock for life ...which I don't want :'(

I flashed custom rom (Pixel Experience) and everything works very well and stable.
However, I have one problem with this Rom, LTE doesn't work at all (only 3G/HSPA+).
I tried to flash soft again without success. I also tried to upload FireHound Rom also lack of LTE.
Even when I try to force it by a command *#*#4636#*#* there is no signal, though I'm in LTE range.
On the stock Rom I had no problem with LTE.
Does anyone have a similar problem?
How can I fix it?

Check your apn settings & set your prefered network on 4g or LTE

I have lost 4g after installing some roms.There is only 3G.When I force to LTE only it shows no service,but 3G works perfectly.I have flashed ltefix.zip, downgrade to stock rom even there is no 4G.
Please help help, I'm just boring of 3G speed .

Try to change some setting from *#*#4636#*#* menu
there is nothing coming by dialing this code.But 4G is enabled in service mode.can you help with another way?
