Stuff to Read
This is my personal theme, i'm making everything exactly how i want it when i get the time.
I only make my theme for the rom i'm currently using, normally either CyanogenMod or AdamG's roms.
My files are tested, working, signed.
Flash in recovery the same as any other update file. Run a nandroid backup before hand.
Any problems installing, see this post ---> Clicky
Flash my files at your own risk, I accept no responsibility for any damage to your device.
If you're flashing this file after installing a fresh ROM, boot into android at least once before flashing to avoid bootlooping.

Clock Update
Adds the clock back into the status bar, flash after the main theme file.
Keyboard Update
Stock gingerbread keyboard, orange highlights changed to blue.
FreshInstall Update
Again this is just something i made for myself, it can be used on any Rom. Flash this in recovery straight after flashing a new rom (after gapps if using a CM rom).
It removes the camera click sound, installs the stock gingerbread launcher and removes the following apps from /system/app/ if they exist:-
ADWLauncher.apk
AndroidTerm.apk
BooksPhone.apk
CarHomeGoogle.apk
CarHomeLauncher.apk
CMWallpapers.apk
com.amazon.mp3.apk
Facebook.apk
FileManager.apk
LiveWallpapers.apk
LiveWallpapersPicker.apk
MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk
Maps.apk
RomManager.apk
Stk.apk
Street.apk
Torch.apk
Twitter.apk
VisualizationWallpapers.apk
YouTube.apk
Zeam.apk
Some of these files are not in the roms these days (i started removing these on CM6 & OpenDesire), but i leave them all in just incase they make a return at some point
I install google apps from the market instead, so they update properly without having to wait for a rom update.

looks nice - i'll give it a whirl!!!
Great start, love that Electric Blue!
Had to go back I miss the time in the notifications bar too much.
Looked good tho!

Will you add this to the Oxygen Updater? Looks awesome by the way, but I am missing the clock aswell.
i've just made a flashable to add the clock back in, as a couple of you guys have requested it
i got used to no clock as i had it disabled in CM for a long time when i was using that - personally i prefer it without, but i'm probably in the minority.
i'm not sure if i'll add this to the updater or not yet as i'm constantly changing things at the moment
Cheers str355, appreciate it
I value my clock in the status bar when I'm in apps or on xda etc...
Ill download and try it out

no problem mate, i've just flashed the no clock file back on my phone now, lol
I'm on Oxygen v2.0 RC3. The theme looks good but there's many more icons I'm using from the iNexus theme as well as a customized status bar so I can't just flash it. My setup is mostly black/transparent/orange/green. I was after your notification menu including the power widgets. I tried to extract it and add it in to my ROM but no matter what I did (recompile, no compile just add in through 7Zip, sign, no sign, low compression, add original Meta-inf/resources.arsc), I was left with a bootloop or no boot with endless FCs. Any time I edit the framework-res.apk, I'm having no success.
Is there a separate flash for just the notification menu available, or a way for me to extract it and get it working?
Thank you.

The power Widgets are not in rc3, only the old froyo version, until Adam adds them.
This theme is built only to my needs, with the exception of he clock add-on.
I'm not going to spend the time hacking it up, your best bet would be to make a notification screen to your spec to add to your current theme

OK. Like I said, I've already tried and couldn't get it working. Nevermind.
Updated for RC4
Hi bro can you do me a favor? I ask you because you have the white icons on the notification bar. I love the stock GB theme but i want the battery only as green. Its like in the one on the RC1, if you understand what i mean. Thanks!

that would depend on what you donate, lol.
PM me if you are serious, if not i would suggest you read up on theming.
i learnt pretty much everything regarding theming from XDA-Dev. i didnt even know what android was before i got my desire back in april
Will PM you when the time is right. Currently I'm still figuring out what to do with my homescreen...hehe...
But nice theme btw. its just that the battery is not into my liking but still its looks good.

Thank me if this brought you a few clicks closer to your favorite themes
Howto apply (really hard):
1) download apk / download market
2) Install
3) Open theme chooser
4) choose the theme of your choice
5) apply and reboot

mDroid
Maybe you are on a ROM without themechooser, but do wan't to apply a theme?
Well, I am working at 2 projects:
But first: you might find this handy:
AndroidCentral.
It's a script by me that offers you CopieFrom and Resize to port a theme.
Also, I found a way to port the colors of a theme
Good luck.
1) Find out a way to apply theme chooser in non-cm7 ROMs, like Oxygen. I heard that you would just have to deodex: not working. If you know the solution: PM me!
2) extract your theme and framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk and merge them
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
The easiest theme to port, is this one: RETRO.
This is how you do it: On Ubuntu you can extract apk's without downloading anything. On windows I haven't tested, but 7zip will do I think
You do have ADB / SDK? Use this tutorial:
Code:
1) Extract retrodroid.apk in your home folder / on your desktop
2) type:
[QUOTE]adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk[/QUOTE]
3) Extract framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk
4) Go into RETRODROID (apk you just extracted) to res and copy the 'drawable-mdpi' folder
5) Go into framework-res (apk you just extracted) and paste the 'drawable-mdpi' folder. Make sure you drop it in the folder where the folder already exists!
6) You will get warnings about folders already exist:
-click 'apply to all'
-click 'merge'
You will now get error about files already existing:
-click 'apply to all'
-click 'replace'
7) now you will have your framework-res themed
8) now go into an other window to your SystemUI (apk you extracted) to res/drawable-mdpi
there will be images like ic_lock_airplane. These are the power popup (when you hold power button), the notification toggles (in statusbar) and some other things.
Well. for every image inside SystemUI you need to copy the themed one of it to that folder and overwrite.
9) Now I always do a litlle trick on my Ubuntu: open the (un-edited) framework-res, delete it from the archive, and drag your (edited) res-folder into it.
That way, you don't have to sign anything or do other ****ty things. Do the same with your SystemUI
10) mount sytem read-write and type:
[QUOTE]adb push /folder/SystemUI.apk /system/app/SystemUI.apk
adb push /folder/framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk[/QUOTE]
11) REBOOT
12) bootloop? reflash your ROM... No wipe needed
DONT HAVE ADB/SDK?
use this tutorial:
Code:
1) Extract retrodroid.apk in your home folder / on your desktop
2) Using root explorer, copy /system/framework/framework-res.apk & /system/app/SystemUI.apk to your SD-Card and transfer them to your computer
Well. for every image inside SystemUI you need to copy the themes one of it to that folder and overwrite.
9) Now I always do a litlle trick on my Ubuntu: open the (un-edited) framework-res, delete it from the archive, and drag your (edited) res-folder into it.
That way, you don't have to sign anything or other ****ty things. Do the same with your SystemUI
10) Don't have ADB?
copy the edited files to your sdcard, using root-explorer paste them in the right folders and set permissions to:
[X] [X] [X]
[X] [ .] [ .]
[X] [ .] [ .]
Thank me
Now I'll explain why that theme is the easiest to 'PORT':
XML
In froyo, the stock theme is colored the same as GB, so you don't need to edit anything! I'm now porting the ICS theme, and when I change the highlight color it gets bootloop. I'm postin a new tutorial as soon as I found out myself how to do things, as others are not willing to help me!
Done.

It' s beneath the one for the ones WITH adb
So instead of grabbing it with adb pull, you just copy the files to SD-card and transfer them from there.
A good option is AirDroid.

Am I correct in thinking that without a custom ROM there's no way I'll be able to theme this thing again? I want the froyo look back, but on stock ginger.

[MIUI THEME] VanillaICS MIUI theme

This is just a test from my messing around with the theme files from my earlier thread. It is mostly miui v4 but with a black status bar and black fade launcher theme. The biggest change is a vertical battery from light coloured business version miui theme and I have made white coloured ICS icons from Galnet Miui theme and different desktop dots. It also uses a galaxy S style unlock screen and Ubuntu fonts.
Still cant get previews working for theme manager and it is apparently in the old format or so my phone tells me, so it has to convert first. Any help here would be good.

Another Dark Theme with new ColorOS 2.1 Icons Download HERE
Hi,
The best Dark Theme I found for my Find 5: LINK
In this version you can see what you type on pop-up screens, still the pop-up text message isn't that great, if we can change it to green for high contrast, like the rest of theme is, would be great!
Thanks for Your work
Is there a dark theme for ColorOS 3.2? I tried old themes but they are still white in settings

Looking for black version of stock theme

Does anyone know if there is a black version of the stock s8 theme available in the theme store? I can't find one but I find it hard to search

For me Material Black theme is almost same as a stock black theme. Change icons and you have stock black theme.
I downloaded Metal Black which is a decent theme.

Did you manage to have the bottom navigation bar, Black'?
Mine turned white after the last upadate when they introduced the dot on the bar. I cannot find a way to make it black again. Built in settings doesn't give black as an option!
sarbashrestha - On the theme I downloaded, if you go into the Nav Bar settings and click Apply Current Theme under it will make it dark. Mine is a sort of transparent black.

I'm using Renovate Ice 3.0 and there is an option to make navigation of any color you want.
In other roms I've tested, I'm having the same problem as you with the last update AQF7.
