No power button and bootloop - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

I have a j5 2015 and the power button is not working anymore and i want to ask if is possible to boot into recovery without power button (any method).

usb jig
yes you can, you need the USB Jig you can build one.
It needs 3 100K resistors or just a 300K Resistor and connect it to pin 1 and 5 if IIRC, just search for it.

Help! My S4 is stuck in recovery and I can't get download mode to work!

Every time I boot my phone it goes to Android system recovery.
I'm trying to connect my phone with Odin to flash stock rom but I can't get my phone into download mode.
I press power button + VOL down + home button but it doesn't do anything, it just goes straight to recovery.
I should also note that my volume UP button doesn't function anymore.
Is there anything else I can attempt to save my device? Please help!
Thanks!!!
It may be a bootloader problem. Had something similar on another device and flashing the bootloader again helped.
You already gave your answer. Your volume up button is causing the problem. Fix it.
It's not software related.
You can buy a JIG on the web, this is a micro usb whithout a cable connected and cost 2 times nothing.
You shut down the phone put the JIG in the usb port and the device starts up in download mode, handy when you have problems with the volume rockers, like you do.
This works on all Galaxy devices, and everyone with a Galaxy should have this,i have it for years now and i could not whithout it.

Nvidia Shield Pro Stuck in bootloop

OK here is what happened. I am running zulu99 full android os. Worked great. I downloaded an app from the Google play store to change the dpi. After I made the change to the dpi settings the app ask me to OK a reboot. Now my Shield TV Pro is stuck on a bootloop and I cant get it into hardware recovery. Any ideas on how to enter recovery another way? I tried unplugging the shield plugged the power back in . Then I hold down the power button for 3 seconds let the power button go and press it down again for a second. I tried this many times and I just end up back in bootloop. Is there any other way to get into fastboot to flash back to stock ? Or do I now have a paper weight ?
Thank you

HowTo Flash:
==========
Before flashing images from this build to your SHIELD, connect your SHIELD
via USB to the PC where you built this tree.
Next, put your SHIELD into fastboot mode using following method:
SW method:
Boot to android home screen
Connect the device to linux system
Open terminal(on linux)
Type "adb reboot bootloader" in terminal
HW method:
Disconnect power cable
Insert USB OTG cable and make sure to connect other end to a host PC
Connect power cable to SHIELD
Quickly start pressing power button for ~3 seconds
Do not hold the button and connect power supply afterwards
HDMI TV should be always connected to SHIELD
Alternative method:
Perform software shutdown on SHIELD by holding Power button for 10 seconds
Connect USB OTG cable to SHIELD
Start pressing power button for 3 seconds
HDMI TV should be always connected to SHIELD

I suggest you keep trying those methods. There's some issues with the current bootloader, so if you can't get it to work eventually you'll be stuck with having to rma it. If you get it working, I suggest you stop messing with it until after the next OTA, which is supposed to fix the bootloader issues.
Some of the issues are mentioned here, with a response from nvidia: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/893616/bootloader-issues
The HW method worked .
Thanks For the help !

[SOLVED] [Q] Rooting Grand 2 with broken power button?

I own Galaxy Grand 2 G7102, but it has partially broken touchscreen (menu and back button won't work anymore) and broken power button. Rooting requires go to recovery mode so power button needed and volume down and home button as well
So how I can rooting when power button broken (which it required for recovery mode access)?
While I find parts for my Grand 2, find some solution for me to make rooting without power button needed (I don't need "just replace the power button" topic)
Thanks
UPDATE: I've successfully go to recovery mode via ADB, but I was stuck and I can't select anything cause of broken power button. How I can escape from this before I bring them to repairment? Tried connecting USB while "recovery mode" won't work and it won't detect on my PC!
UPDATE 2: Problem solved. Had I bring them to service center to repair power button

With this options is nothappening nathing just again is going to restart it every 2 seconds. Vol up + vol down + pwer button on more of 15 sec is going phone on power off.
I made relock on bootloader because I wanted to take it away waring: your phone is unlocked an can't be trusted ....
well...youve learn the lesson the hard way...you just cant get rid of that nag screen...
only thing left now ( i think) is to ... send it to huawei for ressussitation...
cuz at that point i dont think theres a method after loosing ADB access

Hi! Have you repaired your phone? If not, the way is easy. You need plug USB cable and hold Vol-. You will enter bootloader. You should again unlock bootloader with your unlock code. After that bootloop is gone.
It could be that phone won't enter bootloader. In that case you should power off phone. Possible needed to disassembly and eject battery cable. After that plug USB cable and hold Vol-.

I have same problem too, and I bought the phone from china, can not return back, any solution ?
Hi...what have you tried till now ?
try hold power off button for around 30 seconds...
then try VOL-DOWN+ Power while plugged to pc....
i had same problem today. Thought i have ruined my phone. But trying to rebooting the phone while using variuos options with power volume up and down accidentally succeeded. It was in my case holding power and volume button until stopped appearing reload every 2 sec, then i have released the power button while kept holding volume up button. And lucky i booted in to Huawei erecovery mode. From there I have booted my Huawei Nowa phone in to a normal boot. Hope it helps somebody.
Hello.. i have the same problem here. It keep restart after 2 seconds. When i push the vol up + power button, it goes to recovery mode. Ive done wipe/reset factory n wipe cache. And still i cant switch on my phone.
Huawei Nova Plus MLa L12 restart every 2 seconds..
When it restart too fast, im also can't enter twrp and fastboot..It restart too fast and vol +- can't detect..If anyone have solutions for this problem, please inbox me..Thanks.
Hello i have the same problem, I tried all the combinations of the power button + volume button + and volume button -, but nothing works, I even disassemble the phone and disconnect the battery, then connect the phone to the pc with the cable, but nothing works, are there any other proposals?

Can't access recovery mode.

I might have mess up my S10+. I have been trying bootup to recoverey mode without success -
a) Vol. up, Bixby & power buttons - doesn't work
b) Vol.up, Bixby & power buttons and connect to USB headphone - doesn't work
c) Vol.up, Bixby & power buttons and USB connect to PC - doesn't work.
When it start up (Vol.up, Bixby & power) the first screen/ page is "samsung" follow by "SAMSUNG Galaxy S10 plus" page. After that, it goes into black screen.
I want to flash my S10+, but I can't booth to recovery mode.
Does anyone has a solution?

I have recently installed TWRP on my S10+. Ran into the same problem that I couldn't boot into TWRP with known key-combo's...
Recently I found a solution posted somewhere on reddit:
- Plugin usb-c cable and connect that cable to a computer or power brick (official one works best)
- Vol Up, Bixby and Power buttons: keep them all pressed until samsung logo appears, release power btn but keep Vol Up and Bixby pressed.
- Phone should boot up into TWRP recovery
Note; not all usb-c cables and chargers are working properly, i ended up using the official ones from samsung.
