Good morning! - this is my first post.
I recently updated my Elemental Kernel (3.10.73-ElementalX-N6P-1.21) and now my phone won't find any nearby WiFi. The list of available networks never populates and just keeps searching. I was unable to add a network manually.
Here's some info:
Nexus 6P 32GB
Republic Wireless
Baseband version - angler-03.61
Build number - MTC19V

You need to be on vendor MTC19X or MTC20F to use 1.19 and 1.21. Update your OS and vendor or go back to 1.18

Thank you - super helpful.
So, I've also been running into an issue trying to update to the latest July OTA update. I was using FlashFire to update all the previous OS updates, but for some reason, it just wouldn't take with the July update. Any advice?
Also, can you direct me to instructions for going back to ElementalX 1.18 - I'm looking but not finding.

Can't help you with flashfire. Never used it.
Just flash it over 1.21.

XT1524, sorry
Got this too but couldn't install it because my Bootloader is unlocked.
It says Fingerprint mismatch in recovery console log after it tries to install.
I forgot what exactly stopped it so i tried anyway LOL
Although mine is the XT1527 From Telus Canada CID 14
I captured the blur package too if someone knows how to patch it to install.
But.. i have Squid's kernel running and i am fairly certain that would over-write his kernel.
I posted here to let people know it's out.
I looked for a Firmware.zip for the version but couldn't find one.. yet.
Who ever is making them needs to do one up for the Telus version 24.71.4.en.ca
If anyone finds this post it !
XT1527_SURNIA_RETCA-TELUS_6.0_MPI24.71-4_cid14_subsidy-TELUS_CFC.xml.zip
I am running..
XT1527_SURNIA_RETCA-TELUS_6.0_MPI24.65-39_cid14_subsidy-TELUS_CFC.xml.zip
or (i forget)
XT1527_SURNIA_RETCA_6.0_MPI24.65-39_cid14_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip

Yes you can but you have to reflash whole stock firmware (the currently installed one) available for your device
It worked for me earlier when upgrading from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 then to 6.0
If you OTA update your device in the state it is now (that's twrp+squid kernel) it might end up hard-bricking the device
Sent from my Motorola XT1521 using XDA Labs

Yup.. i posted the wrong thing earlier.. it has nothing to do with the bootloader.
I was running Marshmallow on my XT1527 with the unlocked bootloader and Squid's TWRP + Kernel and SuperSU + Custom Bootlogo / Animation.
So what i did was restore all the stuff stock then the OTA update installed fine.
I already had the firmware from when i downloaded it here a year ago.
THEN..
I thought hey know what ? Since i already made a TWRP back up.. lets use it !
After the OTA update was back on i started putting the custom stuff back on..
then i went into TWRP and restored only the DATA partition.. bingo had all my app's + settings still
Still running great and stable and yeah it was December 2016 patch level.
No idea what volte is but i think it was just an update for security.
I am currently fighting with rooting this update.
I just installed this
XT1527_SURNIA_RETCA-TELUS_6.0_MPI24.71-4_cid14_subsidy-TELUS_CFC.xml.zip
( OTA after reflash to 6.0 )
I am putting my info and trials HERE
Thanks for the info. Mine didn't pop up the update, but checked and there it is.
XT1524 en.GB no branding sim free
Is there a way to root muy phone, everything I find is outdated & for an older version.

The root kernel listed will work with all version.of the os you root, 6.0.1 or 7.0. There have been no posts about certain security updates not running root right, just the posts about supersu updates causing glitches. You'll be fine
So just to understand, security updates are irrelevant if the android version matches?
It's been awhile since I've rooted anything, just trying to get the basics down to avoid a brick.

Yeah. The better news is that using Odin and flashing any of the flushable packages through Odin for any carrier will not brick your phone as long as it is a non-Chinese snapdragon variant. So vzw, unlocked, AT&T...whatever your flavor. Devs have hybrid roms that run without root and provide some customization as well.
just did this, sorry was away because of work. say's "custom unlock" now so it worked with no issues! Thank you!!!
@Dirtydcs
Thank you for posting that it worked helps keep info up to date for others.
I just got a SM-G930V from verizion and also have Android Version 7.0, I'm at Security patch level May 1, 2017 and have Baseband version G930VVRS4BQC9 and was wondering if this was the same baseband version you where running? When you rooted.
Thanks
Finger print issue can be fixed by just clearing the prints off your phone

I think you haven't written build number correctly ?
Can you put screenshot of "about phone" ?
Have you ever flashed stock ROM in past year ?
UPDATE:
That's nougat soak version !! Right ?
Nougat soak update haven't got any update, you have to flash updated official firmware yourself.

you have probably flashed the soak test of android 7.0 over 6.0
Motorola have clearly said the people who have flashed soak test manually will not get OTA updates
the only way to get updates is flash the stock rom via fastboot..

Yeah..to flash the stock rom via fastboot you dont have to unlock your bootloader. And please make sure you are flashing the latest rom that is mentioned in the above reply.
Hello, stop I'm attempting to get my phone successfully rooted. But I can't get anything but the official stock firmware to flash in Odin. I have downloaded multiple stock and custom firmware files, just about all of this threads Odin files with no luck. My conclusion is the CSB1 update patched root.
