Help, Flickering Screen on Moto E4 XT1764 (Compatible XT1762, XT1763..) - Moto E4 Questions & Answers

Hello, not if you have noticed but the Moto E4 normal XT1764 has a problem which is that when the brightness decreases to a minimum the screen starts to generate a flicker, then I wonder if there is a ROM, Firmware or Kernel to fix this as it is quite annoying.
Thank you, greetings!

same problem on xt1773

LG G2 D802 brightness issue

Hello guys, it's been two days since i had a problem with my lg g2: in few words i have the brightness blocked at the lowest level. Brightness sensor seems not working, changing brightness in display settings doesn't change anything. I have Grola rom installed (or simple rom) v1.2, twrp, kk bootloader. i tried installing different roms but the problem persists. Any suggestions?
Please any suggestions?

If in warranty please consider to take it in service. If problem not solved changing roms then there's a hardware problem. If not in warranty you must change the sensor in some way. It might be attached to the screen or to the motherboard. First you should try some app (if any): https://play.google.com/store/search?q=brightness adjuster

I tried almost EVERY app to adjust brightness but nothing, still dim screen. I also tried apps to test sensors and the brightness sensor is working.

Tab 4 10.1 SM-T530NU Brightness Not Changing

I've just noticed that the brightness slider moves from end to end with no change in screen brightness.
Anyone got a fix?
Android 5.0.2
Yes, I have the same problem. Mine is weird though. Mine will sometimes get bright and match the setting, but a majority of the time it goes to the most dim level on the screen regardless of where the brightness level is set. I'm hoping that it is something that I can fix, but I don't know if people will say that it's a hardware issue. My Tab is rooted again after I reinstalled the stock firmware again to try and fix the problem. Hopefully someone can offer an insight to this problem. I'm wondering if taking it apart and heating up the processor with a heat gun would cause it to work. That worked as a temporary fix on an Apple computer.
I have the same problem after I rooted the tablet. The only solution I found is install the app Screen Filter.
Are you on a custom ROM?
Can you reproduce the issue with a stock ROM?
If not,its probably the custom ROM have bugs.
Or maybe sth else

Brightness glitch on A3 2016

I have noticed strange yellowish green when auto brightness on...Did anyone noticed it?
Not yet, can you make a photo or video?
I believe that it has got something to to do with the Adaptive Display instead. Try switching to other modes and see if the problem still persists (fixes that for me).

Screen burn.Lol after playing cr it damn increased xD
Recently I visited Motorola service centre they said this problem is due to latest update which came this month. Apart from this they said that in next upcoming update Motorola will solve this problem.
You will be surprised they said this is not a problem and they will not changed screen if this is the problem. They said they will try to solve this problem.
Can anyone tell me, is it true that this problem can be solve by repairing? No need to replace screen.

Just tell them screen burn was before the update also.
Can this problem is repairable?
Moto G4+ is given to service centre. They said they will repair this screen. Is it true?
I'm facing this problem after recent update... I don't think it's hardware problem as in my case cause I din't install any extra app or i started playing new games for hours. Shadows of app notification icons(recently opened) are started to show up in notification drawer. I hope next update will solve this

It is a hardware issue and no update can fix it. Get your screen replaced.
Some People replaced the screen and fews weeks later the problem comes back

If it was a screen issue it would be visible in other areas too, not only in the drawer.
LCD screens don't have burn-in faults. That is possible only for plasma or OLED ones.
All area of screen are effrected of buen in effect. now phone is given to motorola sc. for screen replacement. i will update the status lter on.
I don't think so it vl get fine.. it vl happen agn.. idk why Motorola is doing like tiz to its customers.. its really sad..

Sorry a bit late, but I just get the G4 Plus. You all could try an app (if not already) called "Color Filter" from app store, as suggested by someone else in a very small XDA thread. I've set it to "10" and that's it, no more ghosts on the screen. Just like magic. Although, it has a minor drawback: due to the darker screen, some app toggles and buttons may fail working. So far, the app interfered (on my phone) with "system settings" (which prompts a message telling you some app is obscuring) and Supersu: it's grant permissions button fails to do what it should. But you can easily sort it by turning off Color Filter and once you do your Supersu, settings or whatever app thing, turning it on again. No big deal compared to replacing the whole defective screen... but if you're still under warranty, go get it fixed or replaced by them once and for all. Fight for your rights

I also think it's problem with the new Nougat update. My wifi also not working in it. So I was thinking to downgrade the OS to Marshmallow and see whether the same issue persist.
Plz tell me weather it is fine to downgrade, means it will not cause any more issue.

Don't downgrade it can casue more issues like you might brick your device. I had no issues with wifi on 14-8 June update.
okay, thanks.. just need to find the solution for screenburn ghost icons and battery
Screen RETENTION. It's not a burn if it goes away!
And solution was given multiple times - custom kernel and lower the RGB values from default 255,255,255. For me 240,240,240 are sufficient.
