Can anyone please tell me which earphones are working with Mi A1. I am kind of thinking about buying another pair because my current sony EX-15ap has hissing sound with this mobile.
And I don't think xiaomi will ever fix this bug.
there's already a thread for this

The new Mi VR headset which was announced 2 days ago only supports the Mi Note 2 and the Mi 5, not the Mi Max!
I was really disappointed by this. I have been struggling to find a VR headset for the 6.44" Mi Max. Most either don't fit the phone at all or crop the visible area to around 5" making the extra large screen useless. Why on earth would Xiaomi launch a new headset for current models and not include this one? Even their previous really basic VR Play headset supported it!

I just opened a thread which might be interesting and give us a 'workaround' for non officially supported devices...

Hello Everybody
I am planning to jumpship to Xioami Mi Mix 2.
Are there any drawbacks in comparison to LG G6 in Mi Mix 2 apart from weird front camera location and the lack of 3.5mm input ?
I am mainly switching to Mi Mix 2 for the screen and can be in bleeding edge in terms of MiUI updates.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.
Better of asking this in the Mi Mix 2 section??...
As a G6 user I say... yeah its better in every way and you should go get a Mi Mix 2.
Thanks for your suggestion,
I'll repeat this question in Mi Mix 2 section and there you offer your valuable inputs.
actually i was about to buy mi a2 but after i heard about that xioami app camera is trash and with google app you get very impressive results
so now
is the improvement that googel app makes to mi a1 camera makes it worth buying over mi a2 ? espically mi a2 has no headphone jack and no sd card slot which makes me thinking over and over ... is there a huge difference btw mi a2 in camera that makes it worth buying or mi a1 with google app camera makes it slight difference ??
You can go for Redmi note 5 AI instead and use google camera with it, if Android One isn't mandatory.
Google camera is the best choice, Xiaomi stock camera app is trash, I mean, it's OK in good lightning condition, but in darker situations it is trash.
Go for Redmi Note 5, it is better choice than Mi A1 and it's newer. A2 is great too, don't know if someone made working Gcam for Mi A2, if yes then buy Mi A2, but it doesn't have 3.5mm jack if thats important to you
Or if Android One is the trick, check the Nokia lineup... definitely after the time Xiaomi took to release updates, plus the lack of support for GCam, my next phone will be a Nokia (I do want Android one, and they have a better track record for updates).

I thought about a nokia too but actually there's only one device that can be unlocked without a signature (key) binary and that's the nokia x6 (6.1 plus/sd630). Not sure about unofficial ways but nokia closed the doors via august OTA. Also it has a notch.
Up until a month ago, I was using a Mi 9T and was experiencing a problem when video calling with the Line app. Then about a month ago, I saw the Mi 9T Pro on sale and bought it. Unfortunately, having the same problem. There is a very loud 'crackling' sound from the speaker. This 'crackling' sound can be heard by both parties on the video call and it makes it very difficult to hear and understand the other party. I also have an LG V35, which does not have this problem. In addition, I am not experiencing this 'crackling' sound when I use the Mi 9T or the Mi 9T Pro with Skype or WhatsApp or WeChat. Only the Line app. Mi 9T Pro is on Android 10 and MIUI Global 11.0.3 Stable. January 01, 2020 Android security patch ... I believe the latest available for this phone. All apps are up-to-date. As the problem is only with the Line app and not with my LG V35, it seems to be a problem between Mi 9T phones and Line. As Line is my preferred messaging app, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
