I live in Shanghai, China. Everyone who lives here knows that any phone you purchase here , even good brands (such as Samsung etc..) will not any have google applications installed. It's almost impossible to get these phones fixed without changing their roms, which is inconveneint and dangerous. From my personal experience once you change the rom of your chinese phone to a foreign one, you will never get the optimum performance. I first purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5660 in China. It worked perfectly expect for the fact that I couldn't use any google app. After being unable to add these applications, I finally flashed some rom from Europe. Then the market etc , all google apps worked fine but the performance was bad. Battery life was really poor. Also I changed several roms after that , none of which gave me the same performance which I had with the original chinese rom.
Now I have got a new Galaxy Note (not N7000), in China it's called I9220. I ran in to the exact same problem. No market, no google , absolutely nothing!! After a lot of research I was able to fix it this morning. If you have got the same problem then follow the steps. Here is how you do it!..
(But I must warn you that I am not responsible for any damage to your phone. Please do it at your own risk).

5. Find the Gapps file and install it.
6. Done, and restart your phone.
You now have your Original Stock Chinese rom, but it's rooted and you have installed all google applications. Just make a google account and you can use the android market.
Even with the google market working , you cannot access many application since you are in China. If you want to be able to download all applications available in the USA for example, then you must also install marketEnabler.

first switch off your phone then press the three button combination i.e. power +home +volume up and then when you see it getting started(when your phone model no. is shown up) then release the power button and continue pressing the other two buttons i.e. home +volume up

lol you are funny, Franko kernel was developed at xda, he quit developing, not sure why could have been ungrateful community, Its always had lots of bugs, but if it works for you it works. I wouldnt be surprised the rest originated from xda as well.
You better be careful with cwm. zip its been known to superbrick devices. Safest way to root would be the drPhills superuser and busybox zip, flashable as a upgrade zipbfrom stock recovery.

Samsung GT-S7568 China Model
Hi There.
I am new to this site but feel the solution posted would have fixed my problem had I found it before I tried messing around with ROM’s.
I have just returned from Shanghai where I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Trend GT-S7568. This model appears to only be available in china from my research. It is an original Samsung product not one of the many fakes out there.
In my attempts to get it to work with an English ROM, being the idiot that I am. I never created a backup of the system. I appear to have soft bricked the phone and I am unable to find a tool that can fix it. I am also unable to find an original stock ROM to attempt to get it back to the original Chinese firmware.
I have tried OneClick and I have also tried a firmware for the GT-S7562 (possibly what caused my current issue). I have found the Samsung official open source download page and have downloaded the correct files from there but have no idea how to prepare them to be transferred to the device as the “read me” file is not much help that came with the download.
Currently the Phone will boot into Download Mode but no matter what ROM I try The Oden Tool keeps failing at the complete Write operation.
I am hoping that I have posted this in the correct forum. If I not I am sorry but it is the closest I could find to my situation.
Any help or direction anyone may have would be greatly appreciated.

i followed the video from the guide How to Root ICS/Jelly Bean on Galaxy Note GT-N7000! [No Computer Required!] but when i get to the part after i enter the recovery mode and try to install the files i get an error that says :
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted
please help i really need to do it......

Thanks,my phone is GT-I9220, And this thread truly helps in rooting installing google apps.
What I want to add is to prepare an external sdcard before watching the video,

i have the i9220.
All i have to do is odin the stock rom from Hong Kong. (available @ SamMobile)
It is fast and stable, no problem whatsoever, and it has good battery life too. (that is only if you do not activate everything and keep you account in sync as little as possible, i only have google and facebook under sync.)

As I have bought a chinese samsung mobile, I can't use google play. So I'm trying to root it. I went through many software as Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v30 , SRSRoot for Android , SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse and more. I also tried to do it as it is said in thoses previous post but there is nothing to do...
I think it's because my mobile:
Samsung GT-S7568
Ice cream sandwich 4.0.4
Is only available in China and all thoses software may not support my device.
So here comes my question. Do I have still any chance to take?

Hey! I got the same phone and the troubles coming with... Did you find a solution since then? I tried many differents softwares to root it but nothing does the job... At least mine is still working cose your story warned me not to use any rom from different mobile. Hope you found something to make it work!

i have the FAMOUS ... ZTE Axon 7 A2017G who haven't received the Nougat update (so bad i have buy this phone for that because in france we haven't the google pixel ^^)
for my work i need Daydream, so i have follow this good guide : [GUIDE] [A2017G] Install TWRP, Unlock BL, Flash Custom ROM .
Everithing work until i flash the Lineage 14.1 Rom,
there is the error message :

i have no sound on call and nobody hear me.
so i have reflash the stock rom (B03) and now everithing is ok (but no Daydream on it)

Install the Universal bootloader
I've resolved the problem. Found out it's not enough to just Install the model specific modem. You also have to install the Universal bootloader (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=148464). The guide doesn't mention that, and it probably isn't necessary to achieve unlocked bootloader.

I have the EU version, and running the pixel launcher fine, and pixel dialer, the only thing that doesn't work for me is nearby locations in the dialer.
Its a case of just finding the right apk, also download google wallpapers from the store, else it will crash when trying to change wallpaper from the home screen.

thanks a lot, now it's working so fine
I bought yurekA S and rooted it.its running on lollipop 5.1.1.through xposed module i was trying to install google assistant and after that i was not able to recieve files through BT.I did factory reset n now phone is stucked on checking connections step.pls help me.also provide links to its drivers if needed.i thought it might be problem wid google services so downloaded n tried to install gapps through stock recovery but it gets failed seems its not permitted.pls help me asap.
it seems that yu is only focused on yureka yuphoria only.
how you managed to install custom recovery in it? What custom recovery you used in it? I am not able to install custom recovery in this phone.

i didn't install any custom recovery because phone is in warranty n indian manufacturers dont like of user installing custom recovery.I will try to install twrp or cwm recovery.The sad thing is tht this phone is not so famous like yureka or yuphoria.
Try philz touch recovery.I was able to install it on canvas 4 A210 but phone was runnig on android 4.2.

I rooted my phone n installed xposed from play store or from here(i dont exactly remember).app installed n open.I did this to enable google assistant but i was not able to recieve files through BT afterwards.Maybe i would not have installed it correctly because on opening app i didnt got tick mark of xposed module installed successfully.I was just trying to learn something new.On my phone as recommended gravity box was not able to install applets also.It hanged in between.

I am using yu5200 from 2 years. But now a problem has created in it. It is showing no cellular network. I have shown it to a technician and he said that there is problem with network antenna. But it is working when I am near a tower. But when I make calls no voice hear at the other end phone.
I think good technician will definitely solve my problem but I am not getting anyone to solve it.
Please tell me solution. Will my phone be repaired in service center?

Hello,
I have a problem converting samsung note 4 n910p to n910f. At the beginning I dowloaded TWRP and flash it by Odin. I made a backup of everything then downloaded the rom for samsung galaxy n910f Pixel Experience. When installing rom I get a message "ERROR 7". It occurs when installing each custom os example: ViperOS, HAVOCOS rom. All the time there is the same problem. On the xda forum I found a user manual how to flash the baseband firmware. I flashed OK1 - nothing has changed then PE2 - the same, "error 7" is still there. I also tried the Trex888 user manual to install T-mobile OS + ramkernel + datafix and the phone stops while loading - bootloop and the teelphone temperature is rising that I cant touch it when I leave it on the bootloop.
Do you have any verified way to install custom rom to n910p? It's hard to find a clear instruction on what to change to flash a custom rom on n910p
I restore backup and have a bootloop on the sprint logo

I will check the method described in this post again, but I did it before :crying:. All new roms with android 9 like for example havocOS have written that they also work with trtlespr. This is written in the information when installing the rom in twrp. So why does error 7 pop up for?

The system doesn't start, it stays on SAMSUNG screen and gets bootloop. The phone heats up very strongly within a few minutes, it is possible that even the processor temperature is higher than 80 * C.
By installing firmware and baseband PE1 from the above link in Odin shows that everything is ok ( success). But can it be that, despite everything, the baseband did not get in, therefore it does not accept this rom or any other?
The same example, when after flashing TWRP by Odin, if we do not disconnect the battery, TWRP will not install. Is this possible with baseband and frimware for PE1?
Ok, I tried everything that was in the post you linked. I flash my phone to PE1 firmware, then install dedicated rom, datafix, kernel from links and phone stuck on samsung loading logo. This situation i s always when i try any rom. When I do a restore backup phone stuck on Sprint logo...

I have sm-n910f as a backup and I can do anything on it.
Are these n910ps somehow handicapped?
n910p that I ave is in very good visual condition, without scratches. If I can't do anything with flashing new rom on n910p phone, can I buy a motherboard from n910f or n910c and install it inside instead of n910p board?

Can someone explain me how to install example HavocOS ( android 9 ) on n910p? This is possible because when I install it in TWRP there is information about compatible version of phones and there is "trtlespr". So it must be possible to install HavocOS on n910p
Why I need to change the rom in this phone? I live i Europe so Sprint stock rom dont want to connect with my Red Bull Mobile or T-mobile operators...
Ok, I install Dtux Rom on Standard PK1 Sprint rom. Working, but I hv problem with T-mobile network. Everything is working on the GSM module but without internet. When I go to settings and then network -> change to CDMA or LTE I hv information "Searching for service" and no signal. So how to activate mobile data - internet connection on this rom? I know thath LTE is not working in EU with Sprint N4 but even CDMA is not working
