Cannot restore VS995 to factory OS - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I have download the stock KDZ file (vs99512a), extracted the dll from it and renamed it to LGUP_common.dll, but LGUP still says that the dll is invalid for my device. I have no idea what the problem is here, but I'd really love to restore this thing back to factory. LineageOS is bogging my V20 down terribly and I miss having support for the HiFi sound card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Use Uppercut instead of LGUP. Search around here you will find it. Disable any antivirus including windows defender before running it though.
It is perfectly safe. I've been using it for a while doing just what you said.

Are you on Verizon? How did you get the SMS/phone calls to work? I was having a lot of issues with it and no settings in the cellular section seemed to fix it.

Baseband Version Unknown/IMEI Unknown H915

Hi Guys. Having a heck of a time with this one. So yesterday my Cellular stops working. I figure its the sim go get a new one and same thing (both work fine in my old phone). Flashed Stock KDZ via LGUP and same thing. Searching this forum and online I am not really finding much. Basically my IMEI is showing unknown with a service Disabled icon top left of phone.
My Broadband is showing unknown as well
Here are some pics (Sorry taken with backup Potatoe phone.)
Any ideas?

Return to bone stock help please?

I just purchased a V30. Wanting to go back to bone stock, no root, locked bootloader on this H918. Anyone have the steps with this version kdz? I'm not a complete noob, but I do need step by step instructions so as not to brick so I can hand this phone down. Thanks in advance.

If you plan on selling it, don't bother flashing back to stock. I would think it is more valuable already unlocked.

Not selling. Handing down to someone that has no business having root lol. Or unlocked bootloader blocking apps they use regularly.

Should have mentioned it in the OP.
Download the kdz for your variant
Download LG usb driver
Download lgup
Choose upgrade and flash kdz.
Good luck,

Thanks. When unlocking the bootloader, I recall an adb command. Or fastboot. Something like that. Will I need to reverse that?

Phone unable to be restored using LGUP

So I'm stick in a bit of a rut here, I have tried using LGUP (including patched versions, Uppercut, COM41, different KDZ files) to reset my VS995 LG V20. No matter what, it stops at some point and says "Error: 0x2BC, Invalid command response code = 0x800002022". This has happened at 12%, 29%, and 30%.

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have also tried using the LG flash tool (according to this guide), and it stopped at 4% at Step 14, even though it was supposed to go to 150%. It gives an error "0x2000, VS9951CA01.dz file does NOT support...", but I cannot read the rest of the line because the window cannot be resized.
What are my options here? I've scoured the forums everywhere and can't find any method that will work. If someone is willing to offer help, I can offer $5 or so via PayPal for your time and effort, as I have reached the end of what I know to try.
The solution was to use a different USB port... sometimes the solution is the most obvious one

[a207F] Rooting?

After a few failed attempts and some net digging, i decided to downgrade my firmware to an early android 9 that i grabbed from samlabs.
i figured from this "workaround" that i can finally get magisk working with my device

but due to my limited knowledge, i don't exactly know what he mean't here, like... how do i flash something with a odin tarball???
and how do i even extract the files mentioned?
can anyone lay it to me straight?
Github Thread
PS: my bootloader is already unlocked, i tried the simple method that makes sense to me and just flashed a patched AP of the aforementioned Firmware but unfortunately hit
the usual dead end (Secure check fail, recovery.img).
Note that the bootloader with Android 10 and later on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) [SM-T290] is suffering from this same issue.

It is about a different device, but may work.
Just replace the aboot.mbn.lz2 and vaultkeeper.mbn.lz2 in a tarball (.tar file) with aboot.mbn.lz2 and vaultkeeper.mbn.lz2 from last Android 9 tarball (.tar file)
I don't remember which one contains these files, so find one with them
