Joying USB to DSP - Android Head-Units

I have researched and done some reading and still not sure if the following will work: Is it possible for a Joying HU to output all sound via USB - SPDIF/Coax - AudioControl DSP?
What I have read it should be as long as I purchase some type of USB to SPDIF/Coax converter and feed the DSP/DAC.
Thanks

USB Audio

As far as I'm aware the N7 supports USB audio streaming. Unfortunately I cannot get this to work in my car. I have an aftermarket Sony head unit and when I plug it on it says "No Music". I can play files on a flash drive but I have to use the head unit to navigate folders/songs which is cumbersome. The unit does have the optional iDevice connector for streaming audio. Is there a certain feature I should look for in a new head unit or is there something else that would work? Looking also to use this with my AT&T GSIII, and when I plug that in it just says "No Device".

Replace Head Unit

Been reading tons of threads about replacing my stock head unit with a Nexus 7.
Couple of things I can't seem to figure out.
1. I have a 2003 Toyota sequoia with JBL. I have a wiring harness adapter that will connect to the sound system (I think there is an existing stock amp). I want to use the micro USB to charge and for audio, and I ordered the splitter cable for that. Can I connect that directly to my existing amp or do I need a USB DAC?
2. My plan is to mount the Nexus in the dash, so that it is not removeable. Should I run a USB connection through a hub for doing updates?
3. Is it better to use a 2012 or 2013 model?
I plan to use it for music, GPS (probably waze), and as BT connection for my phone.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Someone suggested this:
"you normally can't connect a USB DAC to the tablet and charge the tablet at the same time through the same microUSB port"
Does that sound right?

Well, that somebody was wrong. My setup, thanks to Timur, charges my N7 and powers the DAC no problem.
I also would like to know. I read that someone used blisspop along with an additional kernel, but I cannot seem to find any install files for blisspop nexus 7 grouper.

Chinese android head unit subwoofer

Hello!!
I bought an F-Z-701TA from aliexpress and I would want to use my subwoofer, carlaoer brand.
Is there any way , soldering the pins with the aux or something, to make it work?
My subwoofer is a kicker one, wich has a standard connection and also I can connect it to the cables (aux etc) but its not working. It worked with my old kenwood ddx3028 but I decided to move on this, if possible.
Thanks

I've just looked at this model on eBay and it's not full android it uses 8.1 go.
Back to what you was asking, generally if it has RCA out for subwoofer then this would need to be connected to a suitable amplifier to match your sub. Obviously the RCA cables would connect to the input on the amplifier and then your sub would connect to the output. If this is a sub amp it's a straightforward connection. If it's dual channel then you will have to bridge the channels.
The head unit itself won't power the sub direct. The only other cable you will use is the amplifier switch cable from the unit to remote on your amplifier.

The most correct decision is to use an external processor. Which one is up to you. There are many external processors, on 6, 8, 10 channels. It all depends on your needs and financial capabilities.

Thanks to both!! thankfully my sub is autoamplified, so I just need to connect the proper cable ... I will update the post when I got it fully functional for anyone with this problem

Joying 8.8" Unit USB Issue with CarLink

Hi all,
I'm having an issue with my Joying 8.8" Android Unit. The unit supports Android Auto using the pre-installed "CarLink 2.0" app.
I usually use Wireless Android Auto and it works just fine. However, the head unit does not have any buttons, neither does the steering wheel (Audi TT mk1). To solve this, I have added a USB volume dial (Digispark ATtiny85 paired with a rotary encoder) which I have used on another car running a eonon unit with ZLink where it works very well.
The problem is that, everytime I connect the volume knob to this unit's usb, CarLink seems to think it is a mobile phone, so it interrupts my wireless android auto session and attempts to connect to the usb volume dial. When this happens, the volume dial stops working. This only happens when the CarLink app is running.
Thinking this is an issue with the CarLink App, I tried to install ZLink instead, but It won't run due to "channel error". Do I have to install it as a system app?
Another possible solution: Is there a way to disable USB for CarLink?
Thank You
What did the reseller suggest when contacted for support? What else has been tried?

I contacted Joying with no answer yet (It's the weekend, they might reply next week).
I tried using different USB ports, USB hubs, USB adapters, changing available configuration.
Interestingly enough, using USB A -> USB C -> USB A adapters made the knob continue working even after CarLink tries to connect to it, but still interrupts an ongoing Android Auto session.
I ended up figuring out the problem. Turns out that certain USB class/subclass identifiers are not properly handled by CarLink. Making the microcontroller report a different combination of usb class/subclass did the trick.
Interesting problem. I just installed a 9" Joying radio into my 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback EX, and I forgot I had an iPod plugged into the USB in the middle storage area. I could not get Wireless CarPlay to work reliably (if at all).
I know the radio does not talk to an iPod, so I moved all the music to an SSD drive on USB3 in the glove box. However, if the drive is connected, Wireless CarPlay will not connect unless I disable and re-enable Bluetooth and reconnect manually, but then it disconnects the USB hard drive.
I don't have the option of changing VID/PID values. I am waiting to hear back from Joying, but thought I would add this to the thread as it is somewhat related behavior with CarLink 2.0.

Can I use a USB DAC?

I have a Roinvou 9212B unit. MCU ver. 4.
Can I output the audio to a USB DAC to an amp?
