FM Radio stopped working after rooting the device - Moto G5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi everyone
I recently rooted my Moto G5 Plus, It's working fine now, except for one, but very important thing -- the FM Radio doesn't work now. Built-in app simply does nothing, the Spirit shows this message: "
ERROR: Tuner did not start or stop.
This device may need a kernel with a working FM driver.
".
I followed the steps of this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/how-to-how-to-supersu-moto-g5-plus-t3587684
This is my new phone, I don't know much about it, I need help with this problem, I hope it's possible to fix it.

So after the accelerometer stopped working some time ago, and i finally decided to return it to stock so i could get a replacement, but i stumbled into a problem.
When i try to follow this guide, exactly step by step, I just get this error message.
I am able to transfer data to and from the phone, and all my cables work just fine.
Some more information if needed:
Model is D802
TWRP 2.6.3.3
CyanogenMod 11 M5
This was all flashed on top of the D80210A_00 KDZ file, the 4.2.2 one.
Also, i have head that Windows 8.1 can cause some issues, but i just wanted to be sure before i went on installing Windows 7 on my computer!
I'm really not sure what causes this, but i would really like to get this sorted out!
A beer is donated to the first who solves my problem!
Bump, this is still a problem for me. Please help!

[Q] Help! ATT S4 SGH I337 KitKat 4.4.2 : Unlocked and No Wifi - Bad Blue tooth

Hello the Xda developper community,
I have probably tried something with my phone way beyond my abilities (Unlocking my phone!!). My wifi is stuck and my bluetooth not working well. I have tried to fix the problem myself, without any success so far. I am tired of trying and getting I hope you could help me. :fingers-crossed:
See below the description of my problem. if you need more information, let me know.
Thanks for trying,
Kierskia
1- bought a AT&T Samsung S4 SGH-I337, OS Kit Kat 4.4.2 in May 2014
2- unlock it successfully and it worked well for a while.
3- Then the Wifi stopped working (Turn on button is "stuck" with a greyish green color!) and the bluetooth has since not worked well (short silent every 20 sec or so)
4- Just realized today that my phone doesn't show the IMEI number anymore... I read this is BAD. but apart from the wifi and bluetooth, the phone works just fine.
4- Reset the goddamn phone several time using the Kies software (samsung). Each time after rebooting, the wifi worked again for a while; but it systematically stopped working after few days (up to 1 week ).
5- I have tried:
- update/reinstallation software using Kies software: fail
- Root it: can't find the proper software to do it that is supported by my phone
- Use cyanogenmod: my device isn't supported.
- Use At&t website to update the software. not working
- getting my IMEI back: the process gets hairy.
-....
I really appreciate what you guys do.

You can try flashing stock NB1. The unlock is permanent.

Help Plz.......Bluetooth not pairing!!

I am having an a chronic bluetooth issue, which i failed to resolve. A help in this matter will be deeply appreciated.
The issue started after the February security update (at least thats what i observed). I was trying to pair my device to an external speaker (Beats Pill) and i had a hard time doing so; and i deleted previously paired devices (mainly my car bluetooth). The attempt was not successful. Then, i tried to pair the device to my car again, and i only see a code (instead of the car name) in the bluetooth search. When trying to connect, i got the message (Can't communicate with XXX device).
After multiple failed attempt, i decide to dive into Unlocking, rooting, and trying different ROMs hoping it would solve the problem. I literally flashed all available ROMs for the device with no use. I suspected it was a hardware issue, but my phone can connect to my Moto 360 with no problems.
I am puzzled with this issue to the extent of considering changing the phone. I use car bluetooth extensively as i spent much time commuting to work. If someone can help with the issue i would be gratefully. From reading around the forum, i think the system app "Bluetooth Share" is responsible for such function; could it be possible that i need a modified version of it, or maybe flash a radio of some sort??
Have you tried a factory reset or a custom ROM? BT pair works fine on my 1575. I highly recommend the TrueMM ROM.
Before unlocking the bootloader and flashing different ROMs, i did a factory reset with no use. Currently, i am running TrueMM ROM, great ROM....but still no bluetooth connection.
Have you tried the latest CM13. Thought I saw something about a Bluetooth fix in the thread there.

I'm assuming it's an XT1575? Download the appropriate firmware file from HERE. The firmware number that matches "settings> about phone> build number". Extract the BTFM.bin file and the flash it via fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
Then reboot. That is the only idea I have, reflash the bluetooth firmware/drivers.

[HELP] About ROMs Stock

MANY DOUBTS
Personally, I'm testing several ROMs on my XT1580 and each one has a different behavior. I would like your help to understand what happens to each of them. Come on:
>>> KINZIE_RETLA_DS_6.0_MPK24.78-8_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC
This ROM installs perfectly and as soon as it connects for the first time, it already receives an update and then another. Everything works.
>>> KINZIE_RETLA_DS_6.0_MPKS24.78-13.3-6_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC
This one also installs normally, more updated than the previous one ... receives an update soon of face, however this update does not install, it gives error in the "Android robot" (other people also had this problem). Everything works.
>>> KINZIE_RETLA_DS_6.0_MPK24.78-13.3_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC
This one I'm testing now. Installed perfectly, came in a different version of the 2 above, however has not received any updates yet. Everything works.
>>> KINZIE_RETEU_6.0.1_MPKS24.107-54-6_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC
This is version 6.0.1. Installs perfectly, however the SIM chip is not recognized. You need to play with TWRP and overlay a system file (build.prop). There she rolls. Never received update, and I used it for a week.
I've tried a few others in Mexico too ... but there's always something, or it does not update, it does not have WiFi, or it does not have a mobile network.
I wanted to understand the differences between MPK and MPKS. And that means the number after the cid in the nomenclature.
Cell Phone has just unlocked bootloader. I am from Brasil, my smart is a XT1580.

No Wi-Fi after rooting G4 Plus XT1642 (using many different methods)

Used a number of different methods from various sources, most of them on this forum.
Each time a successfully got root on the phone i don't have Wi-Fi ("No Wi-Fi networks available").
I have used the latest twrp for G4, Elemental-G4-3.01 with Magisk-v19.1, SR5-SuperSU-v2.82 and superuser etc.
My latest attempt was following instruction in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4/how-to/guide-how-to-root-moto-g4-magisk-stock-t3725712
When I fail I go back to ATHENE_NPJ25.93 and Wi-Fi works perfect each time.
What should I do?

Thanks!
I am new to rooting phones so excuse my ignorance.
I am going to connect this phone to a car navigation/entertainment system using USB and via Android Auto (with some patches) "mirror" the phone screen to the car screen.
I don't need to do any calling using this phone, only need wifi.
The post you refer to seems to be related to baseband problems, is it the same kind of problems?
However in the first part of the post it mentions IMEI = 0, which is the case for me, should I go down this route and try to solve this issue (if possible)?
The thing I don't understand is that wifi works fine (with IMEI=0) when flashed to stock but as soon as it's rooted it looses wifi and bluetooth (and possibly other stuff)
I'm having the same issue and as this thread is still fresh I figured I would post here, I tried the flash posted above but all it did was trick my g4 into thinking its a g4 plus with no wifi still, I understand that is what its suppose to do and a fix is there for it but right now I'm trying to fix wifi.
