This is new... When the phone is not in use an a SMS message arrives, I get the notice as usual.
But, when I log into the phone to see the new message the time stamp is NOW, not when the message actually arrived.
Ideas?
Thanks

hii all,
i have just bought an o2 xda2 last week, i oftenly recieved double delivery report when i am sending a short message. i think that something error with my cell phone provider. but as i check and recheck, i found out that my xda2 sent the message twice (although i just only click the "sent" button once), and i'm loosing twice credit on it. sigh...
anybody having the same problem as mine? any solution?
and second.. i'm wondering if i can make delivery report activated as default.. ? thx 4 the reply..
Are you using a memory manager like Battery Pack, Pocket Plus etc?
These can be set to close an application, rather then send to the background. What can happen, is that you send an SMS, then close Inbox before it has verified the message send, so next time you open it, it sends again.
If you do use a mem manager, remember to wait a few seconds before closing Inbox, or set the manager to meinimise Inbox rather than close it.
The only foolproof way to request delivery reports is by putting *0# thena space before the text of any message. This does reduce the available message by 4 characters, but is a universal command. (set *0# as a setting in My Text)
I've got a 6925, and i'm quite annoyed by the e-mail notifications always nagging me. I have 2 e-mail accounts setup (Gmail, and my POP3 work account). I want it to check for new messages as frequently as possible, but I only want it to display a notification if it DOWNLOADED a new message. Currently it displays that I have New messages all the time unless i physically go into my inbox and actually open the e-mail message all the way.
Why is this so annoying? Well a lot of the times I get messages that I just don't open based on the "header" of the message. Yet unless I actually go in and mark it as read, or open it up, when it goes to check for new messages on the server it still thinks it's a NEW message and thus prompts me with a display saying I have new messages. Is there anyway I can have those notifications fire ONLY when it's DOWNLOADED a new message and not keep pestering me saying I have 63 some e-mails that are new and I haven't opened?
Thanks
i'll send a text to someone, then for some reason. they will get the same text like 4 times. why is my phone keep sending the text? even a few hours or days?
thanks
hey bigpat, the issue is with the Cody SMS threaded messaging. Just upgrade your ROM and use the new built-in threaded messaging with WM6.1
I use the built-in text message program in WM6.1 and I get the same issue. Once in a while, I will get the "Message was not sent. Try again?" message. Of course I click it because I want the message to eventually go through, but the receiver will end up getting multiple messages.
The towers also much acknowledge a message is being sent or receive and then respond back with an acknoledgement. Until this is all complete and if you keep clicking resend. It may resend everything over and over.
My phones having the issue with receiving them. The phone receives a message sends back the ok, but never receives it back to the phone. This then causes the original message to continue to be pushed until it gets a response to allow the newer messages to come. Very frustrating.
Every time i reply to a text, it attaches a 1 in front of the number, even if its store in my contacts without the 1. how do i disable that? its very annoying.
also, my text inbox, wont show TIME received, just the date. even if i just got the text a minute ago, my sent messages show the time. not received though.
any ideas?
Hi all,
updated to 1.66.405 rom last week and all is seemingly well except....
I had a message yesterday from a person who i had already sent/received over 200 messages on phone, since THAT message arrived, whenever i get a message from that person (and there have been over 100 since yesterday!) the phone automatically goes to THAT message in the HTC messages inbox despite showing as havinga new message.
Often when replying to the new message, the cursor ends up going to THAT message whilst i am typing. More annoyingly whether i hold down on THAT message to bring up menu and select delate, or select delete messages from main menu, scroll to it, select it to delete...... THAT message wont damn well be deleted it is a devilish message.
I cant find where messages are stored on the activesync connection to try and delete it from there (any tips please), and to add insult to injury i have tried to get to myphone website all morning today and Microsoft have taken it down for updating !!!
Arrghhhh - any help advice would be appreciated.
Have finally got back onto MS Myphone, deleted entry there, synced and hey presto all funky again
